Decisions - Rain - January 20, 2015

Between all the fights that she has gotten into, Rain has been thinking more and more about learning to become a healer. The times she had needed one was when she was away from the pack. She had to rely on her strength to get through it. But after passing out from her first outing, she needed to gain some knowledge on how to take care of herself. Plus she would love to be able to help others. She hasn't spoken much to the healer that the pack has now, but once she has learned all she can from Seronda, Rain will need to travel the other packs to further her knowledge.

Now she calls for Amekaze to speak with the Alpha about Rain's thoughts on the matter, letting out a calm short howl. Will her alpha support her decision? Now that she knows which packs to avoid and which are friendly, it will make asking for knowledge a little easier among them. That could be one of her arguments if her Alpha does not lean towards the idea right away. She doesn't see why Amekaze would reject the request. Having more than one healer in the pack is a plus. Rain is starting to feel restless again as well. Her Alpha has not called for her to go on any scouting missions. Rain wants to be of use, sitting around the pack is not making her feel right.

Then her mind starts to wander towards Nishu. He will probably want to join her as well. Maybe she should have discussed this further with him before calling Amekaze first. Either way, she will need to speak to both of them. She sits on one of the many paths of the Sunspire, waiting for her Alpha to show up. It is the middle of the day now, the sun high in the sky. If Rain is to leave, she would like to leave soon before it starts to get darker.

She had been quiet, a presence upon many features of the mountain with her constant patrol and hunt, but the last few days she had spent largely alone. While not opposed to this idea, it was never bound to be long-lived. She had a pack to oversee, and hiked her way up towards the central reaches of the mountain underneath the afternoon's chilly sunshine. All the while, she wondered who she might find, and breathed deep the scents weaving their own way across the mountain.

Not long after, it was Rain's call that gave her steps purpose. She took to less of moseying pace and honed her focus, jogging purposefully towards where the silvery Rain awaits.

Amekaze could make a few guesses about why she called; she knew she wished to travel more, although the alpha had let her be for now, mostly to ensure that she had time to heal fully from her last expedition. Being tossed off a cliff and survive was no small feat, but it had been a little while now. Ame also knew that she and Nishu were close, for their scents often intermingled -- led her to be curious if he would wish to travel abroad alongside her in times to come.

Nevertheless, with Summer out (missing? could she even consider him that yet?), she had her reservations about sending them out. But, the wilds always had much to learn for them -- and her own thirst for knowledge was great, although underlined by a vague envy for those with the skill and time to go outriding for days on end. So she was stuck between how to feel about it, truly.

She soon reached her destination, and waved her naturally lifted tail in a friendly greeting when she spotted Rain.

RE: Decisions - Rain - January 21, 2015

Amekaze soon arrives, her tail waving in greeting as she trots towards Rain. The silver female bows her head low to her alpha, a smile on her muzzle. She respects the wolf greatly and is always happy to see the black female. "Amekaze," she greets. "How are you this chilly afternoon?"

Her eyes scan the area for a moment, instinctively searching for Nishu. He's been at her side so often that she expects him to be around now. She wonders if he would like to learn some healing as well. The knowledge could be very helpful if he ever was without a healer. Packs are usually lucky in that aspect. At least for the ones who never leave the pack boundaries. Always a healer nearby to jump in when needed.

Her blue gaze returns to the alpha, she decides to just get right into her reasons for summoning Amekaze."
I have a request now that I am fully healed from my last ordeal if you will hear it." Thinking about it she adds, "Two requests actually, if you don't mind."

She chuffed warmly to the respectful Rain's greeting. All of the time spent in her company did well to reaffirm Ame's thoughts on her -- that she was an asset to the pack, and truly, the dark leader was glad to have her. Since she had been one of the very first wolves to join under Amekaze's leadership, and admittedly, she had come at a time when she was learning much, she was ever pleased to have it work out as well as it had. Ame had grown into her leadership, and Rain had risen to be a key member of this pack -- and in doing so, near to the alpha's heart, as were several here.

With her ears flicking forward, she nodded. Of course. Let me hear it, she said simply and leaned back onto her haunches, readied to listen. She may have had her suspicions about what Rain may inquire about, but it was hard telling where exactly this would lead.

RE: Decisions - Nishu Inte - January 22, 2015

The late Nishu, Rain said he chould join in :P so he did!

As much as tracking and seeking was part of Nishu's everyday task he still was never good at it. After a bit of physical exercise he started seeking out Rain. It always took longer than expected since he would always start either near her den or where he last saw her. It was sure that even though he would always manage to find her as long as she wasn't hiding, he still wasted time. It didn't seem like Nishu would ever improve in tracking.

Finally he cought up to Rain. He felt proud of himself, this time he didn't get lost which was a big reason for losing time. As he approached he noticed that the Alphess was there. Most likely a little meeting, he felt like he should interrupt them.

He was standing out in the open, they were likely to notice him. He sat down and would remain silent if they didn't notice him at all. If they did see him he would say "My apologies, I didn't mean to interrupt anything. I came only to escort Rain." Of course, it was his duty to protect her while they seek out her sister. It makes perfect sense to be here right now.

RE: Decisions - Rain - January 23, 2015

Opening her mouth to reply to Amekaze, Rain takes a pause. Nishu's scent touches her nose and she smiles. There is her shadow, it hadn't taken him long to find her. Flicking an ear to let him know she has noticed him, she continues with what she was about to say. Now she won't have to seek him out and inform him as to what her plans are. Two birds with one stone. "I want to learn to heal, and would like to request to go out to the other packs and speak with their healers. Also, there is the question of why our pack and Swiftcurrent creek are ill at ease." That was something that has been on her mind since she had spoken with the wolf from there. She tries to recall his name now, but it slips from her mind. It will be important to remember it later for when she returns to speak with him.

"
Do you have anything to ask of me Alpha? If you will allow me to do this?" She is somewhat expecting Amekaze to give her a task and hopes for one. Rain is always eager to do whatever is needed for her alpha and her pack. She enjoys doing as much as she can for them.

RE: Decisions - Amekaze - January 27, 2015

<style type="text/css">.ame {margin:auto; width:530px; text-align:justify;font-size:11px;} .ame q {color:#7a2638; font-family:georgia;font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1.3px;} .ame p {margin:0px;text-indent:30px;}</style>

When her attention had once been all for Rain, she could not help but divert it just slightly at the appearance of Nishu. Amekaze did not find herself particularly surprised to see him, but it did lead her to wonder just how inseparable they were. Always when she scented one of them upon the mountain, the other was not far behind. She nodded a quiet greeting to him to acknowledge his looming presence.

Ah, you are not the first to be interested in this. Vienna, too, intends to learn to heal. she quipped with a pleased wave of her tail. It would be good to have consistent healers in their midst, and now all she needed to was ensure that they could learn properly. I suggested she go to the Plateau to see what they may have to teach, if anything, so perhaps go elsewhere to start then combine your findings.. she mentioned offhandedly.

As for the Creek, Ame had been anticipating this. Now, the Creek is a complicated matter, but one that has been mending over time.. she begun with a look that asked if she was truly ready for this long-winded explanation. What do you know already? If anything? Ame asked, just so she would not need to reiterate, or so she could find a focus in her explanation.

Then, with a measured exhale and a nod, she continues. Of course you may go. I think it would just be good to know of healers and even naturalists in other packs. Because while I do not know if I could find someone suitable to learn more from, it is worth a shot just to see what is out there. she said. Otherwise, I suppose I am a bit curious of just how some others have fared over the wintertime, like the western packs, Ouroboros and Stavanger Bay, and if there are any other new packs in the area we have yet to know of, between here and the southern coast mainly. Nevertheless, I wonder if they have healers or anyone noteworthy.. she considered out loud. She would let Rain know of more specifics; Ame had truthfully not been invested in considering lands beyond the mountain lately, what with her focus turned to ensuring their resources lately.

RE: Decisions - Nishu Inte - January 28, 2015

He listened to what was requested and said. Maybe he shouldn't have but it was a bit too late to not take part in the discussion. He understood that Rain wanted to learn to be a healer and Nishu kinda wanted to learn it too but he didn't say anything about it. What was a bit worrying was that this meant Rain would leave the Sunspire for a while again. Of course Nishu will be with her the whole time but as he thought about the Sound. They remain dangerous to him and her, Once they head out together those wolves may soon discover that both are still alive. Nishu would be the only one who knew where their secret entrance was located and being an exile to them, death would come to him without question. They may very well try hunting him down if he was discovered alive.

He decided to say something "I'll just say I'm not against this heading out but I'm bit concerned about the Ankyra Sound. They try to keep their existence a secret but if they discover that Rain and I survived and that their location is no longer hidden then it may spark a change in their tactics. They may start leaving the coast which would endanger other packs nearby. There is no way to tell if they've gotten stronger over time so Rain.. It might be more dangerous compared to the last time you left here. You'll have to be ready for a fight when the time comes." He said. Clearly his main concern was Rain's safety, there was no doubt about that.

RE: Decisions - Rain - January 30, 2015

She is surprised to hear that Vienna wishes to learn to heal as well. It gives Rain second thoughts about venturing to become a healer. Though, it might do the pack good to have multiples. Perhaps she can dabble in healing and if some other trade comes to her, then she can work towards it instead. She can be more or less, a helping paw to Vienna if she ever needs one. Knowing a little bit can help Rain as well since she always finds some sort of trouble, even if she doesn't go looking for it. Hearing that Vienna is heading to the plateau makes Rain consider heading to Ouroboros Spine to find Ashton. He is the only healer she knows and he had helped her greatly when she had needed it at Blackfeather Woods. Perhaps she should consider also stopping by the wood to see the black wolf again. That itself she can consider looking for trouble. Blackfeather Woods is a pack of killers after all. Rain sighs at the thought.

"
I don't know anything of the creek," she tells Amekaze when asked. "I want to hear the whole story." She can't understand why the packs are unfriendly towards each other when she had met such a friendly one last time. If Swiftcurrent can be brought to be on more equal terms with the Sunspire then Rain will gladly try.

The Alpha grants Rain's request to go do what she needs to do and offers up the task of seeing how the packs are fairing. "
Thank you," she tells Amekaze with a bow of her head. This is when Nishu adds in his concerns. Rain takes them into consideration. Ankyra Sound is a major concern, but she cannot stay within the boundaries of the Sunspire forever. Sooner or later Ankyra will discover that they have survived and if she and Nishu are in the Sunspire, then who is to say that the Sound will not come to war with them? "Maybe in the end it is best that we do not stay here, Nishu." Her head turns to him. "If they discover we are alive then we may bring war upon the Sunspire by staying," she voices her thoughts with a frown. "Eventually they will leave their boarders, even without the knowledge of us. Other packs are endangered just by them living in the Teekon's.." If they do end up crossing paths with members of Ankyra, Rain worries about being able to get away if it does come down to a fight. "I can fight them again if we are discovered. I would rather lead them away from my pack."

RE: Decisions - Amekaze - February 04, 2015

<style type="text/css">.ame {margin:auto; width:530px; text-align:justify;font-size:11px;} .ame q {color:#7a2638; font-family:georgia;font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1.3px;} .ame p {margin:0px;text-indent:30px;}</style>

Nishu voiced obvious concerns, and the dark alpha swept her ears his way. True, Ankyra remained a distantly looming threat to the both of them, one that would exist so long as they did. Despite the mystery of the coastal pack, Ame was concerned, but not massively so. They had made no detectable moves since and she felt that so long as they stayed away from where they lurked, which seemed to be a limited spread of land, it would not be an issue.

Rain returned with confidence in fending them off. Mhm, they are always a threat. If they ever bring strife directly to the Sunspire, we will handle it accordingly, but I would not let the possibilities of it keep you tied to here when you have cause to explore, she said, not believing it to be a good enough reason to veto Rain's desires to travel about. Perhaps it would serve as a good test of the waters to see if they would encounter them out there.. because truthfully, they would not know what Ankyra would do until they did it and she did trust in Rain's strength to handle it as needed.

Anyway, it seemed Rain began with a blank slate regarding the Creek. Ame drew a thoughtful breath before she launched into what was sure to be a lengthy explanation. Our relationship with them has been on a slow mend for months now, but it stems from the nature of Sunspire's foundation. Ferdie, the original alpha here, and Jace were wrongfully ousted from their ranks then came here to settle and heal. I followed, although I had only been a part of the Creek a short while and had joined.. because Ferdie was a friend I wished to be near. Her ears slicked back upon thinking of Ferdie, a sore spot that had largely healed; looking back, she was frustrated by having ever cared for him at all. All of which only served to anger the Creek's alpha of the time, Fox. She opted to instigate for the weeks that followed for she felt that we were too close to her, and evidently, were viewed as a threat. Altercations followed until Fox was no longer alpha -- a situation I do not fully understand the details of but I feel the Creek wolves grew tired of her actions and sent her away. She no longer lives there. It was glaringly obvious that the red hellion was the root of it all.

Since then, we have a truce to basically leave one another alone, so we have maintained a distance. Ame did appreciate Scimitar's alphaship at least. She hardly heard from the Creek, which to her, was good news. Their alpha now.. I have few qualms with him, and I think that their membership, and our own, has seen enough turnover that by now.. few know why this ever was. Creek wolves used to be more hostile towards ours. I rarely hear instance of it now, but as I said, we have just kept a distance since our hunting grounds do not have a reason to overlap. They are not an active threat by any stretch of the definition. And while she would be glad to see them move on or the pack disappear entirely, she was above forcing this hand since their creek was far enough from her mountain that she wasn't bothered. So, with this, she awaited questions or comments curiously.

RE: Decisions - Nishu Inte - February 11, 2015

Nishu didn't have anything else to add so he remained in place and listened. Of course it was not him that was set on doing these tasks. What ever Rain was planning on going into it would involve Nishu as well. Finding out what he will get into might be key to keeping Rain safe. It would be better to understand the whole situation, he wouldn't want to make things harder for Rain.

He thought about how he should act towards others he would meet. How would they react towards a Knight? Would the name cause problems? Well it didn't matter, Nishu's strength should be able to keep problems at bay. As long as he remains near Rain all will be fine. That's his belief.

RE: Decisions - Rain - February 13, 2015

She had taken all of what Amekaze said about the Creek with an open mind and now asks, "Would you hold it against me if I attempted to speak with the Alpha of the Creek? If leaderships have changed since the time we became hostile with them, then perhaps we can at least be on more friendly terms especially since you mentioned that things have been on the mend.." Even after hearing the story she can still see a possibility of fixing things, even if it is a small chance. But if her alpha wishes to leave things as is, then Rain will follow the command. If Amekaze agrees, then the Creek will be her first stop on her new venture. If things don't go over well with the Creek maybe they would be willing to at least share healing information with her. Rain casts a quick glance at Nishu and smiles slightly.

RE: Decisions - Amekaze - February 22, 2015

<style type="text/css">.ame {margin:auto; width:530px; text-align:justify;font-size:11px;} .ame q {color:#7a2638; font-family:georgia;font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1.3px;} .ame p {margin:0px;text-indent:30px;}</style>

Regarding the Creek, she was not geared up to take real action in any direction. She wasn't going to speed along the healing process because frankly, it barely mattered anymore. Meet him if you want, but official matters regarding the details or necessity of our truce are topics I would want for myself, she said. She wouldn't stop Rain from meeting him and getting a feel for their relations on her own. If Ame's guesses were right, Scimitar would likely converse if she came to him, but not be overly friendly or generous on the details of things. Which was probably the best approach she could ask for -- especially of former foes. Scimitar is his name. I had spoken with him last in autumn, on cordial enough terms. I have not sought him out since because I reason we have both been busy, respectively. They had discussed the terms of hunting territories and since there had been no breech or protocol on that, she had not needed to see him again. Which, for her, was perfectly fine. The Sunspire prospered decently enough regardless.

Relations between other packs was an interesting topic, as she was trying to get an appropriate feel for what sort of politics she wished to uphold, but not one she was quick to put a lot of effort into. And, this sort of thinking had not caused major issue with her so far.. so most likely, she wouldn't be making any effort to investigate the Creek until closer to springtime.

RE: Decisions - Nishu Inte - February 26, 2015

The rest of the meeting wasn't interesting for Nishu. Knowing the names and the goals wasn't an objective. His focus should be on whatever Rain will tell him to do. He got a bit distracted with the surroundings and was no longer following the discussion. It was a nice day. But almost everyday was a nice day compared to the other days. He was sure it was thanks to Rain by now. He felt that he was in the right place then ended up thinking of what he would do after he finds Ryuu.

That day might still be far off but he couldn't help but ask himself, Would he try to start a knightly pack? or maybe he should stick with Rain and renew a contract. There were so many choices and Nishu ended up just siting there staring at the open. What would be the best thing to do? Atleast there was still time to decide.

RE: Decisions - Rain - March 20, 2015

I'm back!!!!! And I've got HUGE news :D I'll have to post it in the gossip thread

Bowing her head to Amekaze, Rain takes her leave with a quick thank you. She makes the decision to not speak with the creek since her alpha wishes to deal with the matter herself. The next step then would be to figure out where to start her next outrider venture. Perhaps she should seek out her old friend Mara. That would mean making her way towards Ourosboros Spine where she had last known her friend to be.  "Ouroboros it is, Nishu," Rain tells her charge. "If you haven't been through all the territories, we will be covering all but the Creek." She smiles as she passes him, making her way to the west boarder in the direction of their first destination. A thrill of excitement tingles along her spine, making her feel giddy. Rain looks forward to traveling again.

RE: Decisions - Amekaze - March 20, 2015

Amekaze trusted that Rain would do what she needed to to maximize her time away. And, with Nishu accompanying her for her own safety and support, they were all the more effective . Now with this all said and done, the dark alpha was ready to bid them farewell, knowing that she would hear from them again in due time. Rain always was good about keeping her informed.

She dipped her nose in a quick nod of farewell, then set off -- perhaps for a hunt, or if something else caught her eye before a promising game trail did.
