What will the future hold? - Scarlett - February 01, 2015 To @Malachi
After Scarlett ran into an old founder of the Duskfire Glacier pack her mind was starting to organize several things. Týrr gave some curious information and also a possible reasoning towards Tuwawi's attack on Adlartok. The albino still wasn't sure if that reasoning was legitimate enough to excuse Tuwawi from attacking a child. However, it did give Scarlett some insight into the mind of the fire collared queen. Scarlett wasn't even paying attention to where she was walking until she felt her paws standing in something wet. The female blinked to realize she was at the edge of meltwater lake. A sigh left her lips. This attack was not something she was going to forget easily, she realized. The former queen of Duskfire... Scarlett didn't know what to make of her. The white female only knew her from her manic state, not the original sensible alpha Tuwawi might have been before. Scarlett really tried not to judge her, but attacking a child went against all her morals. As Scarlett returned to the woods she came across a scent she smelled before. Her nose lingered on the spot. Týrr. So the chocolate male had returned to his homeland after all. Scarlett wondered how much truth there was in his words. The small white continued into a trot. Scarlett wanted to talk to Malachi. She stood right under him in rank so she had to right to know what was going on and what would happen in the future! Týrr was a great supporter to Tuwawi and Scarlett did not feel the need to be lead by a crazy wolf like her. Malachi was her alpha and she would follow him. What would become of Duskfire Glacier with Tuwawi terrorizing the youngsters of their pack? Without a new generation there will not be a Glacier pack the next decade. RE: What will the future hold? - Malachi - February 02, 2015 For a moment, Malachi had let himself fall into the art of forgetting. Forgetting that he was one of the few founders left, forgetting that Tuwawi was not herself, forgetting that this pack belonged to more than the Sveijarns now. Týrr's unexpected return had energized him, but as the novelty of their encounter waned, forgetting became impossible and remembering took hold, and when Malachi picked up the strong scent of his packmates, those who had joined when Tuwawi had not been Queen, his fantasy began to falter. Tuwawi wasn't herself, and until she was, he would remain king - though in reality he felt more like a peasant in masquerade garb. Scarlett's scent played fresh on the air, and he hesitated before turning his steps to follow. Some time had passed since Adlartok's attack, but he had not visited the healing boy. Many times he had wanted to seek him out, but he had no answers to give the child, and he'd made no move to evict Tuwawi from the pack she'd been the first to claim. A part of him clung to the hope they could heal the woman, yet he couldn't help but wonder if he was a fool playing with matches already lit. Adlartok was his responsibility, and his loyalty lay with the child as much as it lay with Tuwawi. And so his loyalties split. He saw Scarlett's snowy fur between the trees and he approached, shaking the uncertainty that pricked him through. She had risen from her lowly position to a place below his own, and whatever discomfort ran between them, her dedication to Duskfire did not go unnoticed by the sundry boy. She had earned her place among them - and yet he hadn't spoken to her since Tuwawi's attack. Letting out a low chuff, he made his presence known, knowing this routine could not go on forever. RE: What will the future hold? - Scarlett - February 03, 2015 Love the new avatar! <3
Scarlett promised Adlartok that she would talk to Malachi for him. The albino could only imagine in what type of fear he had to live with Tuwawi still being here. Scarlett wondered what Malachi found more important instead to report back to her? He knew where she was most of her days. The chuff reaching his ears was just the one she wanted to hear. Scarlett turned to Malachi, her red eyes immediately casted into his blue ones. The female looked serious for once. She had been plagued with all these thoughts and scenarios, on top of making sure that Adlartok didn't worry too much. She was worried herself, too, especially about Adlartok's future. Malachi had not bothered to return and check upon the young grey. Maybe Adlartok's words about Malachi were true. Maybe he wasn't the alpha Scarlett thought he was. So much uncertainty. Scarlett disliked it. Frankly, she was under a lot of stress. "What did Tuwawi say?," she asked, cutting right to the point, although her tone was still gentle. Normally she would ask if he had even talked to her but not today. Today, the white female wanted answers and truths. Was Tuwawi going to have any consequences from her actions? It scared Scarlett that such a wolf was amongst their ranks. Maybe it was just something even Tuwawi couldn't be responsible for. Scarlett wished she could help the red queen but from what she has heard and seen herself it almost seemed impossible. "Adlartok thinks he has no future in this pack. And after I talked to Týrr I feel like he might be right. Was happens if Tuwawi attacks him again? Or another wolf? If Néa was still here would she have gone through the same fate as Ad? I want to know what ideas you have on keeping her at bay. And I know you might not like to talk about this but we should. We are a pack, a unity. There shouldn't be hatred and fights amongst our ranks." Scarlett was still utterly serious which was mainly driven by her worries. Týrr had given her some insight why the red queen attacked the child but Scarlett didn't see it as a valid reason. |
