thunder & quake - JB4 - February 08, 2015
He arrived like the wind - drifting, following an incongruous path, with the occasional uptick in speed when he felt the urge to run; but overall, the vagrant roamed in a listless manner. At first the beast followed the coast, but its similarity to the ice-fields of his home caused a great ache to well up within him. So he went further inland, and by day's end there was a black smear upon the horizon. Anselm did not stop to rest through the evening. He followed the path the stars showed him, and eventually found the mountains once more. The boy's lethargy ebbed as dawn broke through a crack in the sky - and as he watched the clouds blush with the sun's barest touch, he sighed, turned away, and began to search for breakfast.
RE: thunder & quake - Roadkill - March 05, 2015 this looked lonely c:
As she travelled through the mountains to get to the coast, Roadkill noticed the scent of another one of these wolves on the wind. She was hungry and light-headed, knew she needed to eat something soon. Anything, really. If she knew these bloody wolves, though, they'd probably deter her from getting any of the good stuff. Damn bloody wolves. Roadkill licked her chops and walked straight ahead, her nose testing the air. She didn't realise that on her blind right side, where her eye socket was littered with scar tissue instead of an eyeball, the wolf she'd smelled was searching for breakfast. |
