Bloom - Raissa - February 10, 2015

Eeeeek!! @FitzDutiful if you want him to scent her and follower her, that would be awesome :D
Also, I did a bit of pp, so I can change that.

It was happening. She had been able to feel her body changing, getting ready for something big, but she had assumed that she had at least a week or so, but mother nature had decided to speed up the clock, springing it on her at possibly the most inconvenient time. It had been the middle of the night, she was snuggled up to Fitz, not suspecting a thing, when she suddenly woke up. She had felt different. Her body was hot, in a way it never had before and she smelled different. It was really strong, too. At first, she didn't know what was going on, but then it hit her. Heat.

She had scurried out of the den as quietly as possible, trying not to wake her sleeping husband, but she was most likely unsuccessful by the way her breathing was coming in fast, almost frantic gasps. As soon as the cold night air hit her cheeks, she felt better. But it was still extremely overwhelming and she started walking away from the den. She headed away from the mountain, just needing to get some air. The moon cast a silvery glow on her tri-colored fur as it peeked through the clouds, it's round face shining down on her. Now that her heat had come, everything would be different, she could feel it.

After sitting out there for a bit, her breathing began to settle, her thoughts calming, becoming more manageable. It couldn't be that bad, could it? It was just part of life after all. But with the pack still settling, worried thoughts still lurked in her mind, threatening to come out of the dark and scare her all over again.

RE: Bloom - FitzDutiful - February 10, 2015

FitzDutiful awoke to the feeling that something was... off. At least, that was the best word to describe it. He noticed Raissa was missing and let himself wake up before padding softly outside. As he approached the entrance to his den he realised something else was different. An enticing, powerful scent was in the air and it stirred something within him. He moved towards his mate's silhouette in the darkness and the scent got stronger.

It overpowered him, drove him, and he felt as though he wanted nothing more than to take her in the way one mate took another. His mind fought frantically against his heart. Now wasn't the right time. They had only taken on one new member since, and the encounter with the dogs had done nothing save to prove how unstable the world was right now.

Suddenly, he realised there was another male in their pack and his eyes darted around keeping a wary eye out for Copper. He liked the young male, but anyone near Raissa right now would be prone to attack. They were still too close to the borders for his liking, but he didn't trust himself to say anything. For now, he watched her.

RE: Bloom - Raissa - February 10, 2015

The breeze was getting fast, blowing into her face and making her eyes squint a bit. She raised her head, looking at the little bits of the cosmos peaking out of the clouds. The stars gleamed like polished gems against the backdrop of pure, black velvet. It must be so easy to be a star. Out in space, just watching the centuries go by. It would be so much simpler.

Here she had to deal with life. With the crushing weight of living, the consequences of the person she'd become. Again, like the day she'd brought the deer down, she felt everything push down on her, drowning her in nothing but negative thoughts. She didn't even think about the pups she could have, and how perfect they would be, because she was to smothered by everything bad.

She shook her head, trying to shake away the dark thoughts, but they just kept pushing until she let them back in. Just the other day, one of her packmates had broken down to tears because of what another pack member had done and she felt she had no power to do anything about it. It made her heart hurt. How could she think of good things when it seemed her life was falling apart, tearing at the seams?

RE: Bloom - FitzDutiful - February 12, 2015

The feelings we growing stronger and threatening to overwhelm FitzDutiful was he watched the woman he loved. He wanted to get her inside, had to get her away from the dangers of other males. Those pups had to be his. Raissa was looking at the stars when the wind shifted and the intoxicating scent was sent spiralling to god knows where.

"Raissa," he called out, gruffly, feeling concern that someone else may stake a claim to what was his. "Let's go back." He wasn't leaving it open for debate but neither was he strictly ordering her. He was more than happy to take her here but was wary of it being within viewing distance of the borders. He didn't want to put the two of them at risk from attacking, challenging males that wanted offspring of their own. Lone wolves were a higher risk at this time of year.

FitzDutiful waited patiently where he stood for Raissa to go in front of him and begin the walk home, he wanted her in his sights at all times.

Raissa jumped slightly at the gruff sound of Fitz's voice calling out to her. She turned, her eyes wide. His face showed that there was no changing his mind and that she better go now. She got to her paws and walked towards him at an agonizingly slow pace, trying to clear her thoughts before she reached him. Once she was sure that she wasn't going to go off on a tangent about some random thing, she quickened her pace and started heading towards the den.

When he had spoken, the sound of his voice had made her shiver. She had never felt like this before. It was a good feeling. It was needy. Once she was ahead of him, she turned her face to look at him. She gave him a quick wink and a mischievous smile before breaking into a jog towards the den. She could see it in his eyes, he wanted her just as much she wanted him and it sparked something deep within her, controlling her. "What ever you say." she called back playfully, her worries temporarily forgotten.

RE: Bloom - FitzDutiful - February 15, 2015

Raissa seemed to be in a rush to get back to the den. She seemed to know exactly what was on his mind. As he walked behind her, he was using every ounce of strength resisting everything in his blood to run after her and take her. It was a strange sensation. Enjoyable but, at the same time, terrifying. Never before had he been a slave to his emotion. She jogged, he walked.

Inevitably, she arrived at the den first and FitzDutiful paused a few steps out from the entrance. Were they really about to do this? He knew that this would just be the start of the longest marathon of his life. Once he committed to this action then this was going to take the most of his waking hours, like bunnies they would be.

The pause made him hesitate. He wondered about the other males in his pack, glad that they were too young to produce offspring. He wouldn't need to be too concerned about her in the pack lands. The pups that they produced would be his.

Still hesitating, he waited outside of the den. He had to be sure about what he was doing before he followed her in. Was he resisting or were puppies about to become a prospect?

RE: Bloom - Raissa - February 15, 2015

He was holding back, restraining himself. She knew what he was doing was right, that he was making sure what happened would be the best thing for both of them and the pups, but she still wanted it too badly to rein in her feelings. She walked into the dark den and lay down on their now cold bed, looking out of the cave at Fitz. Her orange eyes glowed, she wanted this more than she had wanted anything ever before and she knew he was feeling the same way. Only he was more responsible then her.

"Come on, Fitz. I'm a little nervous, but I really want this for us." she said very honestly. Only she wasn't a little nervous, she was very nervous. If they did this, then she would become a mother. There was no going back after that. But she knew deep down that it was right, that this was something she needed to do.

RE: Bloom - FitzDutiful - February 16, 2015

Raissa seemed ready for this. A hell of a lot more ready than he was. As he stood, watching her from the outside of the den he began to shake. He didn't have a clue about what they were getting into. How the hell was he supposed to be a good father for his children? FitzDutiful supposed that they were going to get a good shot at life now that he was an alpha. It would be the pack's job to look after them. That said, were they stable, secure and family enough for that to take place?

He looked at her as Raissa encouraged him onwards, saying that she was nervous but wanted this - really wanted this. He couldn't deny her the one thing he wanted could he? Was it bad to enter into this if he wasn't one hundred percent invested? There were so many questions flowing around in his mind. "Are you sure we're ready?" he asked her, trembling still. "Are our pups going to be safe if we do this?" He had to know that she had considered all the possibilities too. They were so close. If she said yes to both those questions he would be hers.

RE: Bloom - Raissa - February 16, 2015

She had thought about this moment for a long time, considered all the things that could happen. There was never going to be a guarantee that their pups would be safe and healthy. There was always the possibility that things would go wrong. But that would be the case no matter how long they waited. She looked him in the eyes, noticing his shaking.

"There will always be the chance that things will go wrong, no matter who hard we try to make everything work out." she replied quietly, looking down at the cave floor before looking back up at him. "But I think that they would have a pretty good chance of being safe as well. I think we should do this." she said, giving him a look that was full of hope, a small smile on her lips. This would be the start of a long, hard road, but she was sure it was worth it.

RE: Bloom - FitzDutiful - February 17, 2015

^_^ *Closes the curtain on the wolves doing the do*

Raissa seemed sure. She seemed to have considered everything and though that they could do this. FitzDutiful stopped shaking and pondered over the thought. They had a pack, they had been stable for a few weeks and there was no indication that they were about to collapse. If anything they had grown, for new pack members had joined since they had established themselves. Bindi was one that FitzDutiful trusted along with Tempest too.

Even if something did happen, he would do everything in his power to help those children. The children whose middle names he would pick. The more he thought about it, the more sure he was. They could do this, him and Raissa together. The pups would be brought up with two loving parents at least.

Nodding, more to himself than to Raissa he took the steps forward to take him into the den. Once there he let his instincts take over, gave himself over to the scent and the desire that had burned inside him this entire time. As the proceedings began - the start of many through Raissa's heat - he noted to himself that it was so much more powerful than he had ever thought. To be this connected to another was a wonderful feeling.

Last post :D :D :D :D

He seemed to consider what she had said, about how they would have a good of chance now then ever, and made his decision. This was what she wanted, she wanted to start a family with Fitz, and that was happening. The pups would grow up in a new, but strong pack, where their father was respected and loved. They would have two loving parents and friends that would love them as well.

Everything was a blur of touch, scent and love. It was nothing like she had ever experienced before and she tried to capture every moment of it, her mind fuzzy with happiness.

As the night went on, she thought about what they would look like, what their names would be. There was no doubt that they would be perfect, every single one of them. She had thought over the matter for a long time, and she was ready.
