Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - February 20, 2015 I'll tag this AW because I want someone to intercept Keith in the borders (no, not you Kaname) but I would like @Cara to join eventually
____________________________________________________________ There was something clear on the silver northerner's mind, he wanted his life back. Ouroboros Spine was the last thing he remembered, and from the moment that his head was was banged unconscious by Kaname no new information had been recorded on his half of the brain. A vivid image of the dark Beta of the Spine was still there, holding his head underwater and taking his life away from him, and if there was something that Keith wouldn't do was letting that savage get away with it. He would pay. The way to Ouroboros was still fresh on the northerner's mind, and the image of it's landscape was still clear as if it had only been yesterday when he last saw it, but the snow and the climate had made it difficult for the outrider to retrace his steps back home. He got there, tired but determined, and there was someone he couldn't wait to see again. Her eyes, cold and piercing were impossible to rub off of his mind. Her voice haunted him, and he listened blissfully, but it just wasn't enough. He wanted to see her again -No- He needed to see her again, and this time he wouldn't leave her, he wouldn't make the same mistake twice. The ridge of the mountain ring that surrounded the Ouroboros was where he stopped walking. He knew that if Kaname was in there, he wouldn't be welcomed, and the strong scent that drew the borderline suggested that he was indeed still inside, but most importantly, that she was still there. He had to wait, and he would. Cara had always been a dedicated warden and Keith hoped she would be the one to intercept him. Things would be very different if she didn't. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Alusia - February 21, 2015 Life was good for Alusia, she seemed to be getting along with everyone she met and was looking forward to meeting others. However she really wanted to get her warden trade, before she started venturing out on one of her adventures. It was just a simple patrol, when the pale female noticed someone on their boarders. She trotted over to the stranger, while making sure not to slip and fall. When she came closer to him, she noticed how the pale male had a terrible scar across his eye. Alusia wanted to run at the sight of the male, he was larger, and clearly stronger than the young wolfess. Nevertheless she approached him with her head, and tail both held high. "What are you doing here" she asked trying to act intimidating, but she was sure this male would call her bluff. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - February 21, 2015 Thanks for joining!
____________________________________________________________ And then, the one thing he feared became true. A female, smaller than him in any way possible, intercepted the ice warrior in the outskirts of the Ouroboros, and boldly approached him with an air of dominance. The female was a stranger to Keith, so he supposed she wouldn't know who he was or what he had been the last time he belonged to the pack. It was safe. "What are you doing here." the female inquired trying way too hard to intimidate the silver Northerner. "There's someone here I need to see." Bane said after a greeting bow. He wouldn't challenge the female for her posture even though he would easily take her down in case she engaged, so his body language was relaxed and less imposing than usual. "I hope you can help me find her." he smiled, suggesting that his intentions weren't offensive even though he knew that sooner rather than later he would have to confront the brown Beta. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Alusia - February 21, 2015 No Problem ;)
The male didn't show any signs of attacking but instead seemed friendly. When he asked for someone, Alusia was unsure who. However he clarified it was a female when he said she. What female could he possibly want, but then again the pale wolfess was not use to these wilds, so perhaps he could have lived here once and known someone. "Who are you searching for" the young wolfess asked, and relaxed a bit when talking to him. She didn't trust the stranger so she kept her eyes on him, but he seemed alright for now. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - February 22, 2015 ____________________________________________________________ The scent of Cara's fur was all over the female warden, and it brought back memories of her sassy tail swishing on Keith's face that steamy day in the hot springs. How stupid had he been that day. It was what she did to him, knock him out of all senses and turn him into a man he wanted to explore more deeply. "A friend." the northerner woofed and his tail waved behind him airily. He still needed to be cautious with his words, he didn't want to put anyone against him, not before confronting Kaname. "Her name is Cara. I'm pretty sure you know her..." he said, sniffing a bit more closely around the female but never invading her personal space. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Alusia - February 28, 2015 When the male spoke of Cara, Alusia was a bit surprised. He may have said he was a friend, but that didn't mean he was telling the truth. He could have been someone sent by Mara to hurt the Spine's queen and until Cara aproved of him, Alusia wouldn't trust him. "Yes, I know her, may I ask what your business is with her" she asked trying to decide if she would allow him to see Cara. Not that there was much Alusia could do to stop him, but she would definitely try. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - March 02, 2015 ____________________________________________________________ Keith wasn't expecting the female to just take him to Cara as easily, so it wasn't a surprise when she so skeptically asked about his intentions with the frost queen. He smiled amiably and sat back on his haunches, trying to think of the best way he could possibly explain his situation. "I just need to talk to her... I used to be part of this pack, not sure how long ago... I was attacked without reason by a male that still lives with you. I need to make sure Cara is safe." he explained, trying his best to create empathy with Alusia. "Would it be possible to call for her? It's really important." he asked kindly. Maybe Kaname had taken away his life in the Ouroboros, but Keith wasn't going to let him get away with it so easily. He had meticulously planned his comeback, and it was time to get it started. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Alusia - March 05, 2015 Alusia listened as the male explained his reasoning for being here. She wondered what male would do that to him. Gaiban was much to young and weak to do that damage, Wyvern's brother was to new to the pack, Stiri seemed nice, but he did have many scars, and then there was Kaname, Cara's mate. Alusia decided it was either Stiri or Kaname, but she could figure out who would be the one to attack him. She gave a annoyed groan before saying "fine" and lifting her head to call for @Cara Some guy is here, to see you She kept a close eye on the pale stranger, and until Cara dismissed her, she would make sure this male doesn't do anything stupid. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - March 09, 2015 "in the land of gods and monsters,
I was an angel" With less than two months after her 'wedding' night, the Spine's iconic hot-couple was cooling back down. Other than the morning a few weeks ago, the Queen had not had much interaction --not of the type mates should have at least -- with the assassin. As the Winter came to an end and the snow began to melt perhaps it was now the Queen's heart which absorbed the cold the earth disposed.
The routine, monotonous greetings here and there topped with the stress that Mordecai's news brought onto her were enought to dry out any drive for Cara to initiate any romantic encounter -- something that Kaname, due to his natural icyness, wouldn't propose alone. Just like the the way the pack's matters were attended, it was usually her who had the last say --or at least the greatest influence when the time of decisions arrived. So naturally, it would be her who hoped to get there first when the sound of an announcement resounded on one of her borders. But as she pricked her ears she realized she had no reason to worry about getting there first or not -- the call, who she still didn't have a clue what it was about had her name printed on it. Whoever this 'guy' at her borders was, he had requested her by her own name -- hence the assumption that he, somehow, was no regular stranger. With her pointed ears swivelling atop her head she tried to decipher who it might be. Perhaps Mordecai with more news about Silvertip, she guessed, suddenly speeding up the pace of her slim legs as she neared the place Alusia summoned her in. She arrived promptly, her tail raised elegantly over her back until her eyes fell on the foreign yet familiar silhouette of the 'guy'. The guy she had shaken her hips for once too long ago. The guy she thought had ditched her. The coward. Immediately a wave or emotions, fury, happiness and confusion to name a few, swept over her as she, still incapable of pronouncing a word, remembered the time she had almost barreled over a stranger thinking it was him; or the time she held her tongue when another fellow Alpha came for his head, accusing him of atrocities she had refused to believe. And now, as she scruntinized him with her yellow eyes and bared her teeth slightly she could again say she was a non-believer. "Keith" she breathed through the shock, still holding her stance with was nor threatening yet not inviting either. Then with a quick swish of her pricked tail and an appreciative woof she dismissed her dear friend, hoping she'd trust her to handle this alone and to keep discretion on the subject; especially around Kaname. He'd be dead if he found out --that if Cara didn't kill him first. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - March 11, 2015 ____________________________________________________________ With a bow, the Northerner thanked Alusia's helpfulness (even though he wasn't just "some guy"), and silently awaited for Cara's arrival. He was itching to see her, there were so many things he had to ask and only she could answer, but mostly, he wanted to see her yellow eyes and feel their piercing hotness once again. He needed it. A million things ran through his mind during the time Cara, as generously as always, took to get there. Kaname was in most of them, he wondered what was of him and if he had any chance of beating him down once and for all. There was no way Keith and that bastard could coexist in the same place, and even worse if Cara was in the middle. All those thoughts faded when the sweet scent of the frost queen flooded the northerner's nose. She was so close. Keith looked around trying to locate her with his nostrils wide open. "Keith..." she gasped taken aback before dismissing the female warden. "Cara..." the silver prince responded when he felt Alusia was too far to hear them. A long pause followed, one in which Keith ate the female's body with his eyes entirely. There were new scars, they looked painful, but they had healed. Everything else was just as he remembered, her striking eyes and rocking body were intact if not better. He could feel his own heart pounding in his chest, and his tail went up in a gleeful wagging. "How long have I been away?" Keith asked, not sure which part it would be best to start with. He knew that regardless of her actual relationship with Kaname, the news he brought could be hard to digest, and he didn't want to add any unnecessary pressure just yet, but he still needed to leave things clear. Besides, although he seriously doubted it, he didn't know if Cara had had anything to do with his exile. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - March 12, 2015 alusia bby you can write a leaving post or leave it like that :* thanksies
"in the land of gods and monsters,
I was an angel" Unlike the first time they had met, before being unceremoniously interrupted by Kaname himself, Cara did not feel the fur on the nape of her neck stand under his colorless eyes. Instead, she felt her whole body get caught under the effect of his tainted, yet not ruined, face.
A face that like hers, had been touched by the cruel lines of past battles (his more notorious than hers) and the confusion of the current situation. In his lips, her name still sounded heavenly. But also, wrong. Again, like she was caught in a whirlpool of emotion, her heart shed the joy of seeig him only to replace it with bitter anger and melacnholy that like the past emotion did not hold the promise of adhering for too long. His question was initially met with a scoff, a scathing blow from her nostrils that meant to voice the disbelief towards his question -- that was, in her ignorant eyes, a joke. How could he not know how long he had deserted them, her, for? Had he been too busy chasing another girl's tail to notice the days, months even, had slipped by? Unbelivable. Unconceivable. "Long enough" she answer cruelly, her eyes betraying slightly that the next change of emotion was soon to occur. From pleasantly surprised to the opposite spectrum and back again, Cara's face now shifted into one on pain. "Where the fuck did you go?" she breathed with her voice now laced with pain instead of angst, her eyes ignoring the happy wags of his tail and focusing instead on the emptyness of his own orbs. "There was a guy fucking looking for you -- the Alpha of another pack" she barked, her voice prodding for answers to all the blank spaces he had left behind after he faded away. "He said you fucking assaulted a wolf of his, a female." she went on, her voice beginning to escalate into an urgent demand for explanations. "Who are you? she barked, her tail raisinf over her back dominantly as her ears flattened against her skull in a conflicting pang of vulnerability. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - March 13, 2015 ____________________________________________________________ Her harsh words stung like a dagger to the chest. Keith felt guilty just with looking at Cara's eyes and the only thing he could think of was asking for forgiveness. And although he did have a reason not to, he would kneel if it was necessary to get Cara's forgiveness. He hadn't left her willingly, and he didn't even know he had left her until he woke up, mangled and tore to pieces in the middle of winter in a place he had promised never to go back to. "I didn't leave you Cara, I would never do that to you..." the northerner said taking one step closer to Cara with an apologetic look on his eyes. The next thing Cara said was confusing at first, but then it all fell into place. The images of a fair wolf bleeding near the ocean under his paws was still vivid in his mind, but not as a memory. He had thought it to be a dream a long time ago, but now he understood what it meant, and he knew that he wasn't, exactly, the author of such atrocity. "Who are you?" growled the female accusingly, and it made Keith's insides burn in pain. "Cara, there's so much I want to explain, but there's so much I still don't know..." the man started with a worried look on his face. He didn't know where to start talking, there were so many things in his mind and at the same time everything was so unclear that he didn't know what of it was real. "You need to trust me, Cara, I would never do anything to hurt you." he started, looking intensely into Cara's golden eyes with his heart in hand. "Someone tried to get rid of me, someone dangerous, and I fear that you won't be safe in the Ouroboros as long as he is." he spoke, implying more than he'd said. _______________________________________________
RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - March 27, 2015 dude im sorry, i love you -- i am trying not to suck at life and posting anymore With her brain running like a train that jumped off its tracks and the small voice of reason, of maturity, being buried under the growing chants of both accusation towards his abandonment and excitement towards his return the Spine Queen was left adrift in a sea of emotional wreckage. She was paralyzed, pulled under a new wave of uncertainty that sent her little heart spiralling down to a sure collision. He had been just a boy --but a boy that since day one had brought a charm. A boy that despite having proved not hold the unwavering loyalty her own mate possessed, still held a fierce grip on her interest. A fierce grip that nearly matched the intensity of their stare, wwhich despite not appreciating due to the single fact he was a loner and she a Queen, was met with silent determination. She would not waver. Or so she told herself, before the seemingly sincere brightness of his eyes and his apologetic words made her heart plunge with guilt. He reeked of the witch's pack, yet he stood there with his tail tucked between his thighs. "But you did" she answered almost mechanically, biting the tip of her tongue inmediately afterwards in fear her pointing of fingers would only increase his sorrow. If there was one thing Cara could not deal with, it was a crying man. But there were no tears to be spilled. Only more accusations. A hushed warning that made the hair along Cara's spine raise on end. Her eyes, which had been narrowed angrily at him not more than a few seconds ago suddenly grew to the size of the moon, letting the blant surprise at his words show with no remorse. He not only urged her to trust, but now also had the audacity to point his own finger at someone else. A wolf dressed in sheep's clothing, a rotten apple among the rest. This of course, was not a piece of information Cara would take lightly, nor gladly. "Are you accusing my wolves of being dangerous? The wolves I have selected and constructed a relation with?" she barked rhethorically while letting her eyebrows quirk in both disdain and disbelief. "After Ptarmigan died the pack was on the brink of vanishing.. the wolves I have by my side are the pillars of the pack, the ones that have helped me keep my head above the water" she barked, the anger present at her past response being overtaken by a sense of disappointment. You were just a brick, she thought, almost parting her mouth to voice this before biting her tongue again. She didn't want him to cry. But most importantly, she didn't want to cry. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - March 27, 2015 You literally killed my Keith muse...
JK but we seriously need to get this thread going! Although her mistrust hurt, Keith didn't expect Cara to believe him right away. It was a heavy thing to take in, he understood, but at that moment Keith didn't want to waste time he could be using to put Cara in a safe place. He felt his impulses telling him to just take the girl and drag her away from the Spine, but he knew how much she loved the place, he knew she felt pride for her home and that she would never leave without a good reason. "Cara look me in the eyes and please tell me if I'm lying? Why do you think I would have left the Spine? Why would you think I'd leave a place that I grew so fond of? The Spine became my home!" he stopped for a moment, staring intensely at Cara's yellow eyes with a supplicant gleam, "Why would I leave you?" he wouldn't cry even though his chest was about to implode in impotence, he needed Cara to believe him if he wanted to get his life back, and he was determined to come back to the Spine at whatever cost. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - March 29, 2015 have i mentioned cara is a bitch..? sorry ;_; she (we) love you tho The tears were not the hardest things she had to hold back. There were insults, words laced with venom, simply forming in the back of her throat, tickling the roof of her mouth like foam while they pleaded to be thrown out at him like daggers. But like the tears that welled up in the corner of her pastel eyes, she kept those words under lock and key -- unspoken, but not forgotten. Desertion was, like defiance, something Cara could not cope with easily. Having struggled in a broken family, after her mother's early voyage to her grave and her father's unexpected illness, Cara had to face the abandonment, the neglect, of her older sisters -- which only ended once her father became a cold corpse. Since then, her journey through life, through the path of trust towards others had been like a path of broken glass. She always got cut. And though the small fissure he had inflicted upon her with his first departure had long ago clotted and stopped its bleeding, it was useless to say it did not sting --specially when he poured himself to her like that. The questions he presented to her were seemingly rhetorical as well, even if they were truly the very same ones she had wanted so desperately to have an answer to, she let them pass with her lips tightly sealed. Avoiding the acidic word vomit that rose at the back of her mouth was her main focus at the moment. "What do you want from me then, Keith?!" she urged her delicate ears swinging furiously upon her head and falling flat against her skull as her teeth clattered, "I want to understand you -- but I cannot trust you so blindly" she went on, her voice coming out as a mournful whine that pleaded him to understand that standing on her side wasn't any easier. "Tell me" she then demanded with an exasperated gasp. Even if the sole act of hearing out his dire accusations against her own felt like an insulting thing to the Queen's prideful heart, she could not deprive him of the opportunity to fight his case. His very last opportunity. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - April 09, 2015 indentIt was painful. Cara, of all the wolves in the world, was the last person Keith wanted to distrust him, but he couldn't just expect her to receive him with arms wide open after months of inexistence. He had, in some way, abandoned her in her weakest moment, when she needed someone the most, and to Keith it did feel like betrayal. Ad it was painful. indentAlthough his intentions were far from ill, he couldn't help sounding like a complete stranger to Cara, he knew that, but he also knew that it wasn't being easy for her either. She wanted to trust him, Keith could see it in her bright yellow eyes, but she couldn't. She asked for a reason to give her trust to the Northerner, but there wasn't. She didn't have a single reason to trust the man, she really didn't. Keith had never given her anything worthy of her trust. indent"I don't want anything from you, Cara." Keith said and then sighed looking intensely in her eyes, and after just one more step further to touch her delicate cheek with his cold nose, the northerner spoke again. "You deserve to know the truth... Kaname was Beta then, and we had had a.. Discussion before over a deer. He hated me the moment he saw me for the first time, Cara, you know that. I saw it in his eyes... I couldn't refuse when he asked me to accompany to a hunt shortly after Ptarmigan killed Jinx... He made me go." he paused to stop his voice from turning into an angry growl. He still remembered that day as if it had been just days ago, and technically, in Keith's line of events it hadn't happened more than just days before. "He took me to Whitefish and told me to track down a deer. I obeyed, followed the deer and then I cornered it on the riverside. I was too focused on it to notice Kaname stalking behind me, and before I could take down the deer Kaname was on me, holding my head under the water... And from there I don't remember anything. I didn't leave... Not willingly..." RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - April 10, 2015 Speak or leave. The message, though unpronounced by her lips, was delivered clearly by the mere expression of her face. The face of a delicate china doll that beneath the fierceness of her eyes hid the creases of past battles and dissapointments. It was true that she had no reason to trust the man or whatever story came off his mouth next, but it was also true that he had no real (or at least knowledgeable ) reason to wish her wrong. Unless it was his own death he sought at her doorstep he should have not even bothered to show his face. Cara's enemies, sooner or later, always fell dead. That was not a warning, it was a promise. Again, her eyes narrowed into thin sliths of gold-kissed yellow, silently judging the man as he without a stutter began to speak and most boldly -- to reach out for her. Pushing him away or baring her teeth at him would have been the most racional thing to do. But Cara, being a creature that lived and loved erratically and with reckless abandon, was not one to listen to reason. With the fur along the nape of her neck standing on edge as if her skin had been touched by frigid ice, she accepted, or rather recieved, the soft caressing his nose and the air he breathed placed upon her cheek. The moment, as placid as it was, died almost instantly after the explanation was resumed. With her eyes widening slightly and her ears swinging forward like radars at the mention of her mate, Kaname, Cara felt the urge to deny his accusations gnawing in her stomach -- but again, with her tail being the only give away to her rage, she kept her lips tightly secured until he continued to elaborate on his profane story. While she did recall a certain apprehension from the older man during the day the ex-Prince had first met her, she refused, with the desesperation of someone whose world is crashing apart, to believe the wolf she had arranged to father her children could hold such dark colors of betrayal. "Why didn't you return then?!" she gasped frantically, cutting of the male's final words. Even if the story was as he said, true, Cara could not yet understand what had kept the man from returning sooner. What had stopped him from fighting back, from fighting for her. "Why did you let him win?" she whined, her voice lingering between accusation and melancholy. Even if they had not seen each other more than twice during Keith's short stay in the Spine, there had existed an unspoken secret between their eyes that had told Cara that between them there had been (at least back then) a fire between them; a chance of something greater. But by 'dissapearing' the fire had been almost, if not completely, extinguished. Yet, in the middle of the ashes that now covered them there was still a chance for something to ignite. Where ashes lay heat remains, right? RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - April 16, 2015 indent"I didn't let him win..." said the arctic stud with some kind of loftiness before realizing it and biting his tongue. He didn't want Cara to feel attacked by him, he needed her to forgive him and believe his words. He looked at her with apologetic eyes and breathed in to calm himself down before explaining again the part Cara didn't let him finish. indent"I am returning back now, Cara. There is a huge gap from the moment Kaname almost killed me until just a few days ago that I can't remember, and I really am struggling to remember what the hell did I do for so long..." he paused for a second, looking intenesely into Cara's eyes. Her golden, and very accusing eyes. "I didn't do it to hurt you, I never would... In fact, I didn't even do it... You need to trust me Cara. You need to get away from that wolf... He... He can't be trusted..." RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - April 16, 2015 Cara was very right. There was still a spark, a flame wanting to rise from the dull ashes. And as the pale, white-eyed male muttered what could only be a lame defense to his dignity, the ticking time bomb that was Cara Moretti, Queen of the Ouroboros, recieved its much desired ignition. Like a match that had been thrown to the ground carelessly, his words and his later affirmation of never meaning wrong, had fired up the fesity female as if her body were covered in gasoline. "Your return will not be welcomed by Kaname" she barked with a slight tip of her head as she stated the obvious. "He won't want you here" she added bluntly, not realizing that at the time she affirmed that he wouldn't be granted enrance if it were up to Kaname, she comfirmed he wouldn't be turned away if she could help it. And of course she could. She was Queen. But then again, she was also Kaname's mate. Yet, she was unsure of wanting to bear the children of a male that had acted out to hurt not only the pack by decreasing its numbers, but also hurting her emotionally, because of jealousy. (It was only ok if she did it because she is a biatch) Suddenly, her whole world, the whole empire she had been so proudly standing on began to crumble. Had he played her all along? Even when she played the "be my mate" card on him, because he was the only option to fill such shoes at the time? It was in the softness of some white eyes that she would find the dreaded answer. He could be right. The Spine, as dear in her heart as it was had a magnet for bad news and bad luck. Jinx's disease, Ptarmigan, Mara and the inexplicable infertility that seemed to hover over the leading pair. Maybe him being a psycho wasn't such a far fetched idea. And maybe, neither was burying it all down.. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - April 20, 2015 indentKeith knew very well that he would never be welcomed by Kaname back into OS, it was obvious, and apparently, Cara didn't quite share that opinion. The way she said it gave Keith the confidence to feel once again aligned with Cara, they still had something making sparkles between them, and Cara hadn't forgotten it. indent"I know that. But I don't plan to stay here too long...." Keith said with hesitance but growing confidence, "But I will not leave you here with him. He is a dangerous wolf, Cara, and No one is safe around him." and then it struck him. He would never leave Cara in Kaname's hands again, but he would never get his spot in OS back, so there was only one thing, for selfish as it might be, to solve things once and for all. indent"Lets get out of this place. Just you and I." the arctic male proposed as his heart almost jumped out of his chest in a rush of adrenaline. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Cara - April 20, 2015 The possibilities that presented themselves in front of her eyes were endless. Before she had been lost. She had been blinded by the comfort that Kaname had provided and had confused comfort for happiness, but now as her pale yellow eyes blinked at the silvery mirrors that were Keith's own eyes she saw clarity. The image of Keith had been lost from her mind during the long months of his inexplicable disappereance, but never had the idea of him faded from the innermost chambers of her heart. In a way, he had never truly been lost, it was herself that in the middle of the revelations was now being found. "I don't plan to stay here to long" he barked and as if a switch had been flipped in Cara's mind her face turned somber. Why had he bothered to show at all th--. He was not done speaking yet. He was planning to take her with him. Again, the Queen's face relaxed and her ears swung back in thought as the monster that was guilt reared its ugly head. Could she walk away from her life, from her everything, for a boy? But then again, was this hers? Or was this a mere reflection of what Jinx had previously built? Was she the puppet or the puppeteer? "And those who want to follow me" she barked decisively as the faces of a few of her subordinates, most of them close enough to be called friends, swan through her head. But then... what about her plans? Those were truly hers, but could she walk away from them too? Could her ambition to have children -- no, to raise children overpower her ambition and adoration for the Spine? Anyone could have children -- but she didn't want to just pop out kids, she wanted to create a legacy, and with the inestability and dangerous setting that Kaname's role now seemed to be like, she couldn't risk it. She couldn't risk her children, herself or her subordinates. "We all have to vanish" she declared, her brow furrowing in thought as she realized, after having had Kaname on her side during this whole time, that having him as an enemy wouldn't be good. But as effervescent as her distrust and rage, came her reason. With the same impulsiveness that had driven the young Queen to disaster in previous occassions Cara was once again swayed by sin. With her heart climbing its way up her chest and her mind suddenly hazed by the rush of emotion his promise to give her the world, she pressed her nose into the coldness of his and in a breathless motion fell into his embrace, allowing the flames to consume them as they consummated their attraction with the passion Kaname and her never could. RE: Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Bane - April 22, 2015 indentIt was a surprise to Keith hearing that Cara agreed on leaving Ouroboros Spine and all she had worked for so much behind. He knew she wouldn't put him away, he'd seen it in her eyes; but the proposal he'd made was a burst of emotion and little reasoning behind. But that was what they both lived for. The thrill of the chase. Living with no regrets. And they would live. indentWith a smile, the young Arctic nodded as an agreement to take with them Cara's trustees, they would need revision and gain his own trust, but he was sure none of them would be as dangerous as Kaname, and he was dangerous himself. Cara would have the world, and she would be safe with him. "We can build our own world." he said, the emotion of the moment rising in him. And just as she did, Keith held Cara in a passionate embrace that would fnally take them to the intimacy they had both desired for so long. |
