last of the wilds - Hjalmar - February 22, 2015 Maybe @Joestar :)
Hjalmar had gone to visit the newest Juvenile of the pack, the firstborn son of the Alpha. He was glad there were some youngsters in the pack, after all, they were literally the life of the whole pack, the burning flame in the middle of winter's darkness. And it was time the Bypass had some children to lighten the atmostphere. Not that it was gloomy all the time, but most wolves here seemed serious and solemn, it was time to wake the inner child inside them and have fun once in a while. The alabaster wolf strode through the plains, sniffing the air for any sign of prey or herbs. His pawsteps were silent as he moved through the tall grass, sharp forest green eyes flashed in the darkness. Night had just settled in Noctisardor and here, there were no sounds but the swishing of the grass and the call of the wind. RE: last of the wilds - Joestar - February 22, 2015 Exploring his new home meant marching across every last inch to get a good sense of his surroundings, it was much less curiosity as it was just habit that had been instilled in him. He'd trained years to scope out hisown homeland, find weaknesses and strategize how best to combat them. But the bypass had truly proved to be a stronghold, and in that sense he was at ease. A few hours before, he'd pledged his loyalty and services to the alpha, and though he knew he had meant it, the consequences still laid hazily in his mind at the time. He'd left Ripple Basin in a tantrum, tired of his (ex?) wife's allegations after one frivolous encounter—it’d been a year now, why couldn't Suzie just have let it go? Jojo was determined to see it as her fault, she’d driven him away. The children were grown, the basin would be fine, and now his ties had truly been severed. He’d be better here, the Basin was full of warriors it was only right as one of Zeppeli’s last pupils to share the old master’s teachings elsewhere. So why did he have so much indigestion? Stomach gurgling at that very thought, Jojo slipped into the grassland figuring by this time the wolves would have slipped into the trees and into their own dens, rather than be exposed to the night. Planting his nose to the ground he set off to find a good place to perhaps squat till the morning (if his bowels were going to keep up this ridiculous rumbling) when he found a rather fresh trail impressed into the ground. The wolf it belonged to wasn't far off either. He let out a friendly grunt of greeting before he realized a moment before he'd been looking for privacy. Regretful a second later, he assured himself this was better than perhaps looking like some creeping stranger lurking about. RE: last of the wilds - Sarana - February 22, 2015 Let me know if you want me to delete this, if its just going to be the two of you ;)
A nightmare woke the young wolfess, and so she set off to get some water. She had found a small den underneath a fallen log. It wasn't the most comfortable place in the world, but it would do. The young wolfess still needed to meet more wolves of the Bypass, and decided to set out and find them. She doubted anyone would be up, but it was worth a shot. Sarana was exited when she found not just one figure, but two wolves in the night. She was about to introduce herself when she realized they were males, and the young wolfess lowered herself so they couldn't see her. The rust colored female still didn't trust males, and any one of them could be her mother's murder. For now the wolfess watches from a distance hoping the males don't see, hear, or smell her. |
