baskerville - Casmir - March 16, 2015

for @Constantine

:)

the child rolled from where he had been curled against Eilidh, yawning widely. They had recently been moved to 'ronnayvoo' place, the specifics of what he had not understood. Standing to his paws, the boy padded into the shade of a tree to relieve himself, and then broke into a scamper. "Connie!" he bellowed, slapping his paws into his brother's sleeping face, white milk teeth flashing as he set about attempting to destroy his twin's ear.

RE: baskerville - Constantine - March 17, 2015

Sleep was pretty awesome, when he was sleeping he dreamed of being a hero for the ages.  A puff-chested tall creature with fierce teeth and his brother as sidekick at his side.  They would slay evildoers and come home to eat fresh deer every night.  It would be so great!

So when feet collided with his face and teeth latched on to the soft part of his ear, one would think he would wake up with a fierce roar and attack the "evildoer" that was coming after his face.

Instead, he merely gave a high pitched yip of surprised protest at the onslaught to his rest and rolled to his side.  "Casiiii!"  he replied, pushing his forepaws into the other boy's chest.  "Gawwfff!"  and then he grabbed for his sibling's ear to return the ear-chewing favor.

His tail thumped in good nature against the floor of the den, his love for his twin far outweighing whatever initial surprise/agitation he had felt upon waking to an ear nomming.

Casmir bared tiny milk teeth at his brother. I'm a monstawwhhh! he growled, tail lashing at his tiny rump. he leapt to one side in a clumsy feint to avoid Constantine's snapping maw. He stumbled into Elididh, who squealed and made a beeline for the protective body of her watchful mother. A small snarl slipped from his jaws and he propelled himself toward his brother's larger body.

A sudden thought caught the boy, and he stumbled over himself trying to halt his momentum.  Go esssplore wif me, Cawnie, he hissed none too quietly. Eeelay is not ivited. Boys onwy.

A monster!?  "I eats yew, den!  I a supewhewo and supehewos eat monsers, Casi!"  he replied, snapping his jaws at his twin and rolling onto his stomach the moment he was free from Casmir's initial pounce.  He crouched and prepared for the next monster onslaught.

Instead of having a collision that would result in a tussle, though, his brother stopped midway through coming back.  Constantine made a puzzled face, then when he heard the not-so-quiet plan he wagged his tail and grinned.  "TRULL HUNTIN!"  he woofed and raced out of the den as quick as he could.  Time to escape their sister and hunt some trolls.

RE: baskerville - Casmir - March 24, 2015

"TRULL HUNTIN'!" bellowed Casmir as loudly as he could, hot upon his stronger brother's heels. When Eilidh gave chase, the boy whirled and bared his milk teeth at her in a clear warning that she should stay away -- he did not take note of her hurt annoyance as he followed his brother. "Whurr goin'?" he demanded, bumping Constantine roughly with his shoulder.

a butterfly caught his attention and he darted away to deal with it, snapping happily at its wings. as luck would have it, he seized the thing, and ground it into the dirt beneath his chubby paws, chortling.

As usual, they were easily in each other's space and in each  other's heads.  There was something about twins that was different from siblings.  Casi and Connie understood things about each other that no one else could.  Perhaps because they shared more than just bloodline.  They shared a soul.  That was how Con thought of it, anyway.

He spun with his brother to bare his teeth at their poor sister, then dashed off even faster toward his goal.  When asked where they were going, he thought of the place where he had found the Lauren bit before.  "Trull spot.  Dere's bit of a trull dere, I foun eet wiff Moldy-eye."  he replied.

RE: baskerville - Casmir - March 28, 2015

"Mol'y-eye? Who dat?" Cas inquired, keeping pace with his brother. He had never heard of such a person, though he had met several of their pack recently. Getting out and about had its advantages. Presently he scampered ahead of his brother and stuck his muzzle into an interesting crack in a nearby tree.

The buzzing of disturbed bees filled the air, and the boy fell over backwards in horror. "Run away!" he bellowed, streaking toward Constantine, fear writ upon his features. they played for some time before plodding home for a well-earned meal and nap.
