If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - March 23, 2015

Although they'd talked about it before, Peregrine felt it was necessary to touch base with @Fox about their, er, extracurricular activities before actively pursuing any relationships outside of their own. Maybe she felt the same as ever, or maybe she would prefer he remain faithful to her now that they had children. Peregrine would respect whatever boundaries Fox set for him. He knew his had changed over time. For instance, he no longer liked the idea of sharing a male lover with her—he liked being the only man in her life—but he would totally be down with it if his lady saw some other ladies on the side.

The recent pack hadn't hadn't gone so well, though Peregrine dug an old deer leg from a cache and carried it to their den for lunch. Dove was visiting, which was perfect. He ducked inside, said hello to the kids, then asked for Fox's sister to keep an eye on the cubs before motioning for his mate to follow him. He plucked up the leg, then trotted down to the lake shore. He didn't want to go too far but he wanted some semblance of privacy. The last person he wanted to overhear this conversation was Dove.

Setting down the meat at her feet, Peregrine licked his mate's cheek and said, "I wanted to talk to you. First, though... have I told you lately that I love you? You're beautiful." Unable to resist the urge to kiss her again, he leaned forward again, pressing the tip of his snout against hers and then sweeping her chin with his tongue.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - March 23, 2015

Curious as ever when Peregrine plucked her away from the kids (and Dove, to boot), Fox trailed behind her mate and the leg of—well, whatever it was—in silence. They arrived at the lake shore, where Perry promptly dropped their picnic at her feet and went on to say sweet things. He was always doing that kind of thing, and Fox gave him a bashful look in response. "There's the sap I love," she teased, though her tone was just as sweet.

Fox licked his cheek right back, then locked her gaze onto his. "What’s on your mind, Dud?" she asked. Maybe it had something to do with the kids... or Dove, considering Perry had left her in charge of their brood. Perhaps he'd found out something about Somnia, or there was news of his family on the plateau. Whatever it was, Fox waited for his response expectantly.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - March 24, 2015

She seemed to enjoy his affections, so he continued after a moment, nibbling along her jawline. He only stopped when she asked what was on his mind. He drew back, meeting her gaze again. Peregrine hoped his absolute devotion shone in his own eyes. Fox and the pups meant the world to him. They would always come first.

He wanted her to know as much. "You are the only woman I will love for the rest of my life," he told her, smiling and bending forward just long enough to press his nose against her cheek. "I'm so happy with the life we've built together. I hope you feel the same."

The black wolf paused, letting her respond to that, then told her, "I've met some cool fellows lately. One might have caught my eye. I'm not even sure how I feel yet. Before I even dream of pursuing anything, I wanted to see how you felt about it." Peregrine almost urged her to tell him the truth and not to spare his feelings, but he knew there was no need. Fox would tell him exactly what was on her mind, which was something he adored about her.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - March 24, 2015

"And you're the only woman I'll ever love," Fox replied with a silly, shit-eating grin. That reminded her momentarily of the fleeting attraction she'd had to Raissa, though that chance had come and gone with the pregnant girl. For whatever reason, Fox just couldn't bring herself to put aside the snark for moments like this. She would never be a romantic like Peregrine, even if she thought he was adorable when he was acting like this.

With her quip out of the way, she listened as he got down to it. When he finished, she followed it with a, "Huh. That makes my proclamation of love seem even more fitting." But did Peregrine love them? Probably not, if he'd only just met them. Had he loved Lasher, or had the two of them just been very close friends who happened to, er, do butt stuff? "I guess it would depend on the fellow," she replied truthfully, "Is it Jaws?" That seemed like the most logical conclusion, considering he had recently confessed that he did not want to take a mate, and he'd been around for a little while. Not only that, but he was also the only single adult male in Redhawk Caldera. Fox couldn't comprehend an out-of-pack relationship, so that possibility didn't occur to her.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - March 24, 2015

Her condition seemed fair enough to him, so he bobbed his head understandingly. He was reading her expression, body language and tone very carefully and Fox didn't seem bothered or defensive in the least, which was good. He hadn't expected her to suddenly change her mind about the whole thing, yet he had wanted to be mentally prepared for the possibility.

Her guess made Peregrine laugh dryly. "You know, I actually considered it but I can't get past those teeth. Do you think I want those anywhere near my bits? You want more children, right?" the swarthy Alpha joked. "No, the guy in question is named Luke. He's a loner, though I could try to recruit him. If you want to meet him, I can take you along next time I see him. Disclaimer: he's chipper as fuck and he has a blue nose—like, literally, a blue nose."

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - March 24, 2015

Ian has this theory that the world would be much better off if everybody had two SOs. A main and a "side."

Fox quirked a brow when he mentioned that this particular interest didn't live in the caldera at all. "Hmm," she muttered, "Would that work if he wasn't living with us?" Maybe she was wrong, but she knew Raissa had been taken off her own table when she'd left Redhawk Caldera. Fraternizing with the enemy was a no-go for Fox's own relationships. Peregrine had been the exception to that, although they'd become pack-mates (and mate-mates) in the end anyway.

The personality and appearance traits didn't make Fox bat an eye. Coming from a family full of animal look-alikes, most of them were bound to look... unusual. Thankfully, the children she'd had with Peregrine were more or less normal colors, but she could only imagine what she'd start churning out in a few years.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - March 24, 2015

Everybody should have as many SOs as they want (as long as all involved parties consent, ofc!). :D

Fox's question was met with a contemplative look before Peregrine answered. "I guess it depends. Living here isn't a criteria for me—unless it is for you—because I'm not sure I'm even looking for a serious relationship, per se. I'm kind of in the mood for a fling or something. Is that okay?" he questioned honestly, maintaining eye contact. Maybe she would prefer he only develop meaningful relationships or perhaps she would like the idea of claiming Peregrine's heart alone while sharing his body. There was always the chance she didn't care one way or another.

"What about you?" he asked after a beat. "Have you had a time to think of going after any of the ladies around here? I know Grimm's interest was piqued when we talked about it that one time..." As he awaited her answer, he thought of his own boundaries. He would strongly prefer she not get intimate with any other guys, though Peregrine found that he didn't have many qualms at all with the idea of same-sex lovers for his wife.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - March 27, 2015

Oh yeah, totally agree. I think he was thinking if that was the norm for it to be like that (vs. monogamy).

"A fling?" Fox replied, curious about that particular word. What did it mean, exactly? Would they just meet up outside of Redhawk Caldera? That thought didn't appeal to her at all, if only because she disliked the thought of Peregrine being outside the range of her voice. The idea of some outsider getting frisky with Peregrine was far less appealing than him hooking up with one of their mutual friends. She couldn't articulate why that was, even if he'd asked.

Peregrine asked about Fox's own intentions, and she realized she hadn't really given it much thought at all. With the kids and everything, she'd barely had time to get intimate (sexually or otherwise) with her main lover. Raissa was off limits, and she was decidedly less appealing after yesterday (which Fox had told Perry about when she'd returned to the den). He went on to mention Grimm, and Fox gave a little, "Huh. I didn't know she was into me." Had he told her? On that note, Grimm was pretty cute. She certainly had her slew of problems, though, and Fox wasn't sure she'd be down to do... whatever it was, considering all the hell she'd gotten from Finley.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - March 27, 2015

He bobbed his head at her single-worded question. "Yeah, I'm not necessarily looking for a serious commitment, since I have you and the pups and I want to make sure you're both a priority. But I'm not opposed to it becoming something more." Peregrine's head tipped gently to the side. "Tell me what you're thinking," he asked. If Fox didn't like any of the above, she was welcome to let him know. The last thing he would ever do was compromise his mate-ship. "If there are parameters you would like me to operate within, tell me," he added, licking the side of her neck.

For the moment, he merely grinned at Fox's reaction to his mention of Grimm. The two of them would really make a cute—no, make that hot—couple. Peregrine's mind momentarily wandered to a rather erotic plane for a brief spell, though he made a conscientious effort to refocus his attention on her answer. He really wanted to clarify the rules of their external relationships.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - March 31, 2015

Fox had never quite understood Peregrine's relationship with Lasher, and it was likely that she never would. There was a time when she'd toyed with the idea of taking both of them as lovers—it appealed to her selfish qualities—but she'd never done it. The fear of bastards was too strong, which meant she likely wouldn't be taking any male lover aside from Peregrine. Unless they just did butt stuff.

With a lady lover, Fox wouldn't have to worry about such things. And if Perry took a male lover, they wouldn't have to worry, either. It's too bad there's no magical wolf birth control, eh? Peregrine proceeded to flip into dreadfully technical terms ("parameters", "operate") which amused Fox. He was both the most silly and most serious wolf she'd ever met.

"If you want a fling, so be it," Fox replied, touching her nose to his cheek. Knowing that she and the kids would always come first was a big step in the right direction, and Perry had never made her think he would put anything else before them. They were family. They were blood. "Tell me more about this Blue Nose," Fox said, settling in for whatever Peregrine wished to say about his newfound crush.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - April 01, 2015

In the end, Fox didn't seem bothered by the idea of a fling. He smiled when she granted him permission, then kissed her nose. "I'm not sure I'll ever need anything else, not with you in my life," he told her in a soft voice. He had been serious with Lasher but that had been before he and Fox had become romantically involved. There would never again be an equal set of lovers in Peregrine's life. It would always be Fox first, with perhaps a male lover here and there. Despite his own words, he truly didn't think he would ever cultivate something meant to last. He already had his life partner.

Fox asked about "Blue Nose" and Peregrine snickered softly. "His name is Luke. He's about as different from me as a wolf can be. He has white fur and a bubbly personality. Oh, and his balls aren't blue." Realizing how that sounded, he chuffed and said, "I promise we weren't fooling around. I wouldn't do that before talking to you. I just... the question popped out and he flashed me. Definitely not blue. But still nice." He cast a furtive sideways glance at his mate, biting his lip so that he was making this face at her: :B

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - April 02, 2015

[fuzzy feelings intensify]

Fox smiled sweetly at his declaration, and the warm, fuzzy feelings intensified. The longer Fox was with Peregrine, the closer the two of them became, and the more she appreciated his sentiments. It was one thing to be briefly infatuated by somebody (a fling, perhaps!) but another entirely to stick by somebody's side for months and months. Hopefully, those months would turn in to years. The thought of splitting up was not something Fox would ever be able to comprehend. The only thing that could tear her away from Peregrine was the cruel scythe of death.

"You'd be surprised by how bubbly you can be," she said with a snicker. Perry had been positively feisty when she'd first met him, although she had to admit that the both of them had toned it down considerably. Maybe that was just something that children did to you. "And I don't think I can fault you for looking!" she added. "Look, don't touch. Isn't that how it goes?" It wasn't like their bits weren't in full view most of the time, anyway.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - April 02, 2015

Kekeke... *brain fuzzes*

After Fox's query, Peregrine bit his lip in an entirely different way: in puzzlement and growing dismay. "Wait, what?" he said. "You don't want me to touch him?" If that was true, he would honor her wishes. He was simply confused. He wondered—and sort of hoped—that this was merely a misunderstanding. Of course he watched to touch Luke. He just hadn't yet, and wouldn't until given (a very clear) green light from his wife.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - April 06, 2015

"What? No!" she hastily replied. "I just meant I'd like to know before you go around touching somebody's balls. I wouldn't think to punish you for merely looking at their danglies before talking with me," Fox clarified. This multi relationship stuff was confusing, she had to admit that, and she hoped it wouldn't come between them. In an instant, she was having doubts. What if she was being too controlling? What if Peregrine felt he didn't get enough slack? What if, what if, what if?!

The Redleaf took a deep breath, allowing Peregrine whatever time he needed to respond.

RE: If we're talking body - Peregrine Redhawk - April 06, 2015

Fox quickly clarified the issue, causing him to grin at her. "Got it," he answered simply, then slung a black foreleg up and around her slender neck. He pulled her close, planting a kiss on her cheek. "Can I touch your no-no places?" he purled in her ear. For the moment, Luke fell into the background of his mind. No matter what the male became to him—friend or lover—his wife was indubitably his numero uno. "It's been a while," he said, though he made sure to keep it light. There was no pressure if Fox and/or her body still wasn't ready yet. It had still only been a month or so since she had given birth, after all.

RE: If we're talking body - RIP Fox - April 09, 2015

Fox giggled girlishly when Perry pulled her in for a smooch. She did miss this, even though she was ever-so-grateful for the children they'd created together. It was often difficult to remember that she could have both. The children had more or less consumed her life since they'd been born, but she didn't want to lose what she'd always had with Peregrine. And she wouldn't. No amount of distance (emotional or otherwise) would ever make her feel less connected with him, but she knew they could do better. Which was exactly what she hoped to achieve.

"Hasn’t it?" she murmured, nibbling on his ear. Like flicking a switch, Fox's mom hat went out the window and she put on her sexy lady hat. "I’ve been wanting to get frisky for days," she admitted. Of course, doing so was easier said than done when she had to give her boobies up for the kids every few hours. With no hesitation, Fox flung herself at her lover, letting him take her however he wanted. Even if that meant her running the show.

Fading out here, since we have another one going. ;)
