a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Azzaro - April 05, 2015 azzaroHis father had trained him well and he knew Drakhavo would've wanted him to take over and rise from the rank of Ezok to the rank of Khal the day he died. To lead the Khalas on hunts for Bison, on raids, to plunder and pillage, to steal and fight, for the their Khalas to keep its reputation as a fearsome and formidable pack. But Drakhavo had not risen to the rank of Khal when he had just reached the age of one, the age of an adult. He had proven his skill and efficiency in battle again and again, earned the Khalas's trust, then defeated the old Khal and took over. Azzaro had been young, and though he had proven himself a formidable opponent in battle, he still had the rank of Ezok when Drakhavo died, he hadn't even gotten the rank of Lajak yet. His father was a Ko when he fought for the rank of Khal. Azzaro had been an apprentice, an initiate, an Ezok. The wolves of their Khalas knew of his, and his reckless brother's ability in battle, but they knew not of his leadership abilities and so the Ko of the pack branched off, taking a good amount of wolves with them when they did, leaving almost nothing behind for the two brothers. The bloodfangs of Drakhavo remained to bid them farewell as they too, left, to join Drakhavo in death.
azzaroAzzaro had been expecting some wolves to leave but he hadn't expected for all the wolves to take off and leaving only a few slaves with them. Bitterly analyzing the situation, the darker brother of the two suggested they leave their beloved fatherland behind and find another home somewhere else, another Khalas, perhaps maybe to even start their own when they conquered a new land. Though their departure was because of death, the two brothers left in hopes for a better future, for new lands to conquer and raid. The slaves followed them loyally though they soon died from lack of food, for the two brothers had to be fed first and Azzaro wanted to keep moving. He thought with a certain kind of dark amusement that Raezho was sure to be in heaven now, after all this journey was probably only adventure for his little brother's reckless soul. He wondered if Raezho even cared for their father at all, the dead Khal had been a good father to them, gentle but strict and he made sure his sons were of Dotharan standard, fiercesome and formidable warriors, matching their father in combat. He had loved them dearly.
azzaroShaking miserable thoughts away from his head, Azzaro focused on the more positive part of the journey but he was beginning to wonder if this journey was in vain. They had seen world wonders, roaring crashing waves, forests, lakes, valleys, mountain fortresses but they still had not come to see what they truly needed. Widespread plains inhabited by Bison, the inspiration of their beliefs and the main source of their food. Perhaps they should never have left their fatherland, he hadn't seen anything for them here, and the dark furred Dotharan feared he had led he and his brother to their deaths.
azzaroStill, he continued walking but was only met with disappointment when the forest opened up into a valley with a river running through it, with neither plains nor Bison inhabiting the land. They walked down towards the creek where Azzaro sniffed the air and the ground, but finding only traces of small prey and the usual deer and elk. A dark scowl decorated the Ezok's usually stoic features for a moment and released a deep guttural growl of annoyance, spitting irritably into the rushing water. "Yth geou pok tenpiswo ihk naeck vur gethrisj shafaer earenk." Azzaro spoke to his wayward brother, his face back to its stoic mask as he sank onto his haunches by the creek's edge.
azzaroThe dark furred warrior glanced up to look at his brother, meeting Raezho's ivory gaze, much like his own and their father's and offered the light furred Dotharan a half hearted smirk. "Sjek wux iaco, moxt isthasy." A small frown followed, and the Ezok spoke again, "Mobi seems ekess qe ehis ihk udoka tenpiswo. si l'gra si tepoha led udoka ekess hesi marfedelom."
RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Raezho - April 05, 2015 First threaddddddddd :D *that thread name though*
Getting to the rank of Khal had never been much of Raezho's concerns and thoughts. But the golden warrior did know his father would have wanted him to. One thing that did bother him though, was Azzaro. His brother and silent and expressionless, he was so much more...Dotharan than Raezho himself. Even his build told you that. He was much more likely to become more powerful. At the age of one, Azzaro didn't already have time for his child play. They weren't even that old, to be honest. A playfight sometimes would be nice. At least they were both an Ezok at the moment. But once they're old enough, Azzaro would probably become Khal and Raezho would be left alone, forgotten. Drakhavo, why did you leave us and sent us to this hell? After their father died, the bloodfangs left the brothers too, bidding them goodbye before they joined him in death. Then their Khalas like his life and his entire world, fell apart. His brother had probably expected some wolves to stay behind with him. Raezho expected the worst. The worst happened. But for once, he couldn't whip around and crow "I told you so" to Azzaro. It was too much to take in at once, their once huge Khalas ended up with nothing but them but a couple of slaves. He kind of expected that. Who follows two unexperienced young wolves who had not proven themselves to be worthy of Khal yet? They were stranded, alone with nowhere to go, until his dark-furred brother make a surprising announcement. He thought it would be better if they left the fatherlands, and find another home somewhere. At the moment, it sounded like a good plan. Raezho agreed and off they went. The slaves soon died, as the brother always ate first. While he missed his father, who trained him up to be a warrior, Raezho was definitely enjoying the adventure to find a new home. So much more sights to see! Beauty and wonders everywhere. But there were none of the plains they sought to find, the bison that were their main source of food. As the days dragged on, even Raezho had to admit they might be heading towards their death, no matter how positive he tried to be when Azzaro was around. From the way his brother acted, he probably did too. It would be even worse from Azzaro's end, considering he was the one who suggested leaving. The forest opened up into a valley, and Raezho's dreams were crushed again. His brother had the same thoughts, as a scowl decorated his face now. Azzaro sniffed, only finding elk and deer like Raezho had. A growl erupted from Azzaro, and Raezho kept his jaws shut for once, hoping not to annoy his brother any further. Azzaro growled something about staying here, and for once, Raezho just continued to shut his jaw and settled down. Isthasy, shilta yth ti maulk wer elk vur tekir? yth re trian starving vur astahii provide pluvt. bison shilta itheik halkvri yth ehtah astahi, shar yth rigluin ekess qe gliiwr sjek yth tuor ekess maulk bison. His brother looked at him, asking if he agreed. Deciding to lighten up the mood, he rolled his eyes and said ti batobot ghergoilt! coi jahus ergriff fogah klewnoric! His brother continued on about how he had probably led both of them to their deaths. Raezho softened, it wasn't often his brother admitted something personal. He rose and nudged his brother. yth geou ehtah hesi okarthel. plains shilta qe lae karif mojka de udoka lae astahii hefoc, yth geou ehtah astahi ilrigani. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Rakharo - April 06, 2015 Hi guys! :D
indentFor months the days had gone quietly, no one had interfered with the Khalas' business so far, and although it meant there was nothing to worry about yet, the golden Khal felt uneasy, it was too quiet. Little did Rakharo know that not only he was being followed by an avengeful mercenary, but he would soon stumble upon another Khalas, even smaller than him yet with the same intentions he'd had for leaving the homeland.
indentThe settlement Rakharo had chosen to spend a single night had unexpectedly turned into a temporary base to re-gain strength, and already three nights had passed since the journey had stopped. The prey was abundant in the area and Rakharo couldn't let the opportunity go without making as much of it as possible. He wasn't stupid. Bison was the ideal source of, not only food, but life, and it might have not been as abuundant in the new lands, but that wasn't the only thing that could feed a khalas. They had hunted deer and moose, together, as a pack, and they had been so successful that even the new slave had had plenty to fill her belly twice nights in a row. But their spirits all were still empty. indentBison weren't only prey. Bison were the Dotharan's every day inspirational source, the strength in the world, and Rakharo prayed every day to the gods for open skies and a large herd to sustain his new Khalas. The gods wouldn't give it to him so easily, but they would sure guide him through the mountains, for as far as they might go, to a land just as, or even more promising than Rhaesh Dahaan itself. indentBut for now Rakharo was tranquil to know that what remained of his Khalas wasn't going to starve to death as the weaker had, and he was determined to keep going forward. He was just about to wake his company up to walk west when he heard voices at the top of the hill, and a scent he would never mistake. Wolves were stalking him and his Khalas, and the Khal didn't take that kind of bitches kindly. Alone and imposing, invigorated by a feast they'd had the last night, the golden warrior strode up to the top, stance authoritarian and sharp glare. He made sure they knew he was coming, and he approached from the front with his tail high and puffed chest. Any wolf would tremble to behold the Khal in his best state, and although he wasn't at the moment, he was still a mighty figure to fear. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Azzaro - April 07, 2015 Hey :D
azzaroThe Dotharan glared at his brother for a moment, asserting his dominance between the two of them. He had been the one to suggest they leave, and he had led them away, automatically assuming the spot of leader. He would not have childish Raezho grumble and challenge him, not now when his mood was in the depths of hell. Azzaro tolerated and sometimes even appreciated his brother's spirit but now was not the time. Not when they still hadn't found anything in these goddamn lands. "Isthasy, yth tepoha sonetor hesi glom vi kear ago, feeding shafaer kwiip elk. yth re ti starving, lae wux put coi. yth geou ssifisv ihk jaka vur widegoa earenk, lae algbo lae maulk." The older of the two said sharply, though a bit wearily, something he did only when his brother was the only one around. For he trusted only Raezho, being brothers, and if he showed any weakness or admitted anything, it was only to his little brother. azzaro"Opsola nurti told wux ilroevi svadrav, noorot tira dask. coi tiliw tepoha coanwor asildk klewnoric ihk shio wux vucot." Azzaro smirked, but it was only there for a brief second before the stoic mask replaced it once more, and he gazed at the rushing water of the river, wondering what Drakhavo would have done if he was here now. Tell them to stay like Azzaro did? Or hunt like Raezho wanted to? Opsola ui mrith wer iski jaka, xurwk dout kurjh decisions, decisions batobot geou xurwk jacion proud. usv re wux ti jacida deevdru? The dark furred warrior chided himself internally, moving his thoughts away from Drakhavo. azzaroThen Raezho rose, nudged him and spoke words of encouragement. Saying their home could be as far away as it liked but they would find it anyways. "Wux tepoha navnik, isthasy. shar axun, yth geou widegoa shafaer halkvri yth ehtah hesi okarthel." It wasn't often when Azzaro would take advice from Raezho, preferring to go with his own instincts and thoughts, but when he did, his brother did produce valuable advice, proving that some of Drakhavo's genes must have found its way into the golden warrior's brain. And made the dark furred Dotharan think, that perhaps having Raezho as a companion and brother was not that terrible after all. "Coita bensvelk ekess tepoha wux tenpiswo." Azzaro admitted with a crooked smile. If his blonde brother made fun of him with those words, the robust Dotharan would not hesitate to wipe the smile off his face. azzaroAzzaro paused then, ears pricked, keen eyes alert as a scent drifted towards him. Immediately he was on his paws, his stance one of combat though his stoic demeanor did not change, fierce eyes of chilling ivory alighted on a large golden figure, swathed in specks of copper and dark hairs, glaring at them sharply. The Dotharan was not afraid, Drakhavo had trained them better than to fear. His authoritative stance meant nothing to the Ezok, he was not of his own Khalas, therefore he was no authority to himself. azzaroThe two brothers had met none of the commoners in these lands, so they knew not that most spoke the common tongue. Naturally then, he spoke in his native one. Protective of both his brother and the land they were on as a nomad, he barked roughly,"Tir ti confn tikil trelkilt." RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Raezho - April 07, 2015 When Azzaro glared at him, Raezho felt his insides crumbled. His brother was obviously the dominant one out of the two, he would do so much better in the future than Raezho. He would be able to lead a good Khalas, with strong warriors and have a good Khaleesi by his side. Raezho honestly felt like a failure at the moment. His brother then began about how they had eaten the elk two days ago. Two damned days ago. Raezho was still a growing wolf, he needed his food. jiil keari kiri drong. wux janik somehow vsist tepoha vi gliiwr resksik, shar si gewjtokvi rigluin ekess sone vur nakta sia dastudr svern. sjek wux tir ti tuor ekess letoclo ve, hak qe batobot idol. si mi gewjtokvi gethrisjir ekess sone. Raezho snarled, his impatience taking over. He normally never snapped at his brother, but hunger and slight fear were too much for him. His brother then proceeded to talk about his joke. The way he twisted it almost made Raezho smile. Almost. fogah klewnoric usv asildk, coi ui still ti kiarf. He said, managing to stop himself from growling. Raezho inhaled, calming down as cold air filled his lungs. wux re harkt. si mi bivai ihk losing sia sanipkur sva wux. What were they...most likely he supposed to do if he couldn't even keep his cool with his own brother? After he had said the words about them finding the plains, he watched as his brother mustered up a small smile and said he had spirit. Raezho positively beamed. His brother rarely praise anybody. Raezho didn't either, but he was more friendly than his brother, though not by much. When his brother admitted with a crooked smile he thought having Raezho there might not be that bad, he was astonished. Never in his life had Azzaro ever praised Raezho at that point. Ever. For a moment, Raezho was tempted to reply a sassy reply. But decided not to. si mi saeuth wux re tenpiswo kiri He muttered, feeling a little out of place. But his brother stiffened and his posture straighten, meaning something was wrong. Raezho sniffed at the air, his body stiffening as he scented an unfamiliar scent. Stranger Danger. It was obvious by his stance he was not afraid. He was a trainer warrior, even if the other wolf was more experience, he had his brother to back him up. They could definitely beat the stranger. The stranger turned out to be a bulky cinnamon wolf with specks of copper. Raezho held a low growl as his brother told the foreigner to stay back. He shifted into a battle stances, ready to pounce at the stranger if he meant trouble. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Rakharo - April 07, 2015 omg guys I'll never be able to write as much as you do in just one post... xD
indentWith defiance, the strangers stood up to the Authoritarian Khal. How stupid of them, it was Khal Rakharo they were confronting, not just any common hound. Rakharo had been triunfant in innumerable battles, and many skulls had crached beneath his mighty paws. These two were nothing but pups beside him.
indent"Ekess ukris ekess ve persvek nomeno idol..." The golden Khal paused for a second to stare right through four ivory eyes. "Wux rigluin ekess qe toladaf kiri sgos... Usv kiri pothoc." he took a couple steps closer, ignoring the Ezok's threat, "Zyak.. Svabolen ir re wux?" he growled, deep enough to chill one's bones. He wouldn't take up anyone's shit, not when they were the ones following his Khalas. The boys didn't seem like a threat now that he'd seen them personally, and he was tranquil to talk to them in the way he wanted. In case they decided to attack he would probably outmatch them, and if things got nasty he still had backup. Lavakho was the only other wolf Rakharo knew that would make a good challenge to him. And Zhavvi, although young, was a fierce fighter, trained by Rakharo himself. It would have been intelligent to think twice before making a move against the golden Khal. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Azzaro - April 08, 2015 xD :P
azzaroRaezho spoke insolently, snarling at him, saying that two days were too long and he needed to eat to keep his strength up. The older brother of the two had enough of the golden pup warrior's childish and immature behavior and keeping his stoic mask on, he spoke in a silky yet lethally dangerous tone. "Ssejinw!" Azzaro did not need a whining wolf to add to his list of problems, he seriously had enough already. "Wux geou ti renthisj ekess ve nomeno idol. Tir ti wux jinthil svabol Drakhavo huena yenta?" The dark furred wolf gazed into his brother's eyes, a glint of icy fury evident in them for the briefest of seconds. "Vi khalas maulkic ulnaus. Vi khalas soneic ulnaus. Vi khalas protects ir voga. Vi isthasy protects jacida isthasy. Vi myvish protects jacioniv myvish. Vi opsola protects jacida deevdru. Vi dask protects jacioniv hianag. Vi odassa protects asta vrak. Vi vrak protects asta odassa. Vi svihelen protects ir voga."
azzaroAzzaro turned his gaze to the river once more before looking at his little brother and speaking the last words softly, the silky manner he once spoke in, vanished, replaced by an unemotional one. "Opsola ornla qe jirank mrith wux." Then he leaned in closer and whispered into Raezho's ear, "Yth re isthasyi. Ti irlymi. Yth re svihelen. Jinthil."
azzaroThe darker brother listened to the blonde wolf as he spoke, making a comment about their age difference joke once more before apologizing for his behavior which was received from the Ezok with a brief nod and a grunt. Though a gentler and kinder smile passed the wolf's features when Raezho spoke in a mature manner, saying he was glad he was here too instead of smirking at him and making a sassy and very annoying comment which would've made the older wolf smack him, not gently either. He supposed it was mostly out of fear for losing his pretty blonde face.
azzaroThe stranger spoke, saying to talk to him this way was either very brave or very unintelligent. He took a few steps forward and asked them which were they, Azzaro twitched his tail, telling his brother not to move yet and hopefully his previous words of their father would make him listen to the leader's command. If not, Raezho would have hell to go through later. "Sgos ui wer kaldaka svaust gethrisjic ahead ios majakir siofmea ekess wer risk." The Dotharan spoke, keeping his stoic mask firmly in place. "Nurothokentinw ui drelniqtokvi stupidi, sugercoated." Azzaro cocked his head slightly, almost in a birdlike manner. "Wer weyotipre rionib sveargith vur pothoc shilta qe zi narrow."
azzaroHe shifted his weight, a smile almost on his face. Almost. "Si suppose si geou anyui batobot visidark mrith nomeno sentence," Azzaro rumbled. "Yth re ti faessiri." He had inherited his wit and adventureness from his mother, much like his own brother, and his strategic brain and leadership from his father. They were a perfect match. "Yth tepoha anyuia. Jaka, svaust re wux?"
RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Raezho - April 08, 2015 What I do is set up a playlist of youtube and play it out loud while I type. It works for me
When Azzaro snarled back at him, Raezho was tempted to hiss and leap. He had lived under his brother for all his life. It was always Azzaro this and Azzaro that. But when his brother mention Drakhavo, Raezho flinched. His father had never been a good subject. Azzaro was older, so Drakhavo spent more time with him. Raezho was always left in the dirt. Azzaro was better than him in almost everything. Fighting, Dothraki ways... All Raezho had was his sense of adventure and knowledge of nature cycles. Azzaro went on about Drakhavo's words and shame seeped through Raezho's skin. Azzaro was right...as usual. They shouldn't be fighting. When Azzaro said Father would be disappointed in him. Raezho bowed his head. His brother had a good point. Their father wouldn't tolerate his impatience with his brother. But then again it wasn't like their father payed much attention to Raezho anyways. When Azzaro whispered to words to Raezho. Raezho would have given everything to his crumble down. But once again Darkhavo told them not to show weakness, so he swayed lightly on his feet feeling like sticks were supporting him up. Azzaro grunted and a small smile adorned his face after Raezho didn't reply with something like, Who doesn't think that. or something. Well his brother would have probably smacked him if he said that. But all trace of brotherly affection was gone the moment the stranger came. Both brother slid into defensive positions. Fighting was in their blood. They had trained together for all their lives, they knew each other's moves and strategies. One stranger shouldn't be hard to beat. Raezho kept his mouth shut after Azzaro told him not to move. Azzaro was better with words, while Raezho was better not using words. Raezho analysed the stranger. Tall, bulky and well-muscled. He had a dothraki figure, making Raezho wonder if there were any Khalases around. They had never came across anyone. Raezho stayed silent as Azzaro did the talking, silently glaring at the stranger and analysing him. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Rakharo - April 10, 2015
indentNot even Drojharko himself had been as self confident as to speak in such a way to Khal Rakharo. The golden wolf wasn't a easy one to handle, and cleverness wasn't a trait that he held in high regard. He hated clever comebacks, and he considered them an insolence. Although he wasn't a stupid wolf, Rakharo's strength were his muscles and speed, not his brains, and his temperament wasn't something to play around with.
indentHe was the Khal, and that's all that mattered to him. indentThe young and very Bold Azzaro had been too imprudent as to defy the golden Khal with his words, and it wasn't going to be taken lightly. Rakharo's lips curled back and a warning growl grew loud in his chest. "Sjek wux re faessiri ui di thric halkiv ekess ve. Wux vur dout girlfirend re shadowing sia Khalas, vur coi sultanic jaka. Vux geou anyui ekess sia visidarkic. Khal Rakharo tiric ti anyui ekess vi Rakhi" the Khal snarled, taking yet another step further. "Sjek wux re ti mrith sia Khalas wux re vin irlym. Svabol tir wux tuor de udoka?" he demanded, his voice as deep as the sound of a thousand bison hooves running towards you, and as severe as only Drojharko's had ever been. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Azzaro - April 16, 2015 azzaroAzzaro was glad his brother listened to his command and did nothing but stay still, who knew what would've happened if he didn't. A fight probably, and if this wolf had backup, they were dead meat, and though they would die with honor, fighting a battle. They would lose the battle, and then they would die and dishonor their father's name, as well as having let him down. And that was seriously not something he wanted to do. Nor something, Azzaro believed, Raezho would like to do. azzaroThe current leader of their small Khalas of two listened as the man opposite spoke, apparently he had not been impressed by Azzaro's display of intelligence and wit. But then, most Dotharan's did not, they believed in fighting after all, not words. Words were for weaklings, so they thought. The youth could control himself expertly, but he nearly lost his temper when the wolf in front of him referred to his brother as a 'girlfriend'. But kept his cool, yelling out right now would help nobody and he hoped Raezho would keep his temper in check too. azzaroApparently this Khal Rakhavo thought they were following his Khalas, seriously, if they wanted to follow his Khalas, they wouldn't be discovered at all. "Jaci ui sia isthasy vur vi Dotharan, ti vi fanol," the dark furred wolf hissed."Yth re jaka shadowing dout khalas. yth confn de raesh dahaan vur banprivi confna de wer diieson direction lae dout khalas. yth confna acht nomeno stream ergriff klewari ago vur yth walked tenpiswo de batobot caesin svern mobi." Azzaro motioned to the forest they came from, his voice regaining the same calm and quiet cool it usually had, unless provoked. azzaroThe Dotharan tilted his head slightly and replied to the Khal's second question, "Yth tuor ehis de wux usv dout khalas unless wux tepoha plains mrith herds di bison houpetor zahae tenpiswo." Azzaro spoke, but he flicked his ear backwards this time, telling Raezho that if he had anything to add, he could tell them. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Raezho - April 17, 2015 Ugh my muse was gone and I didn't how how to reply to anything.
He stayed still, he really tried. But the moment the other wolf decided to dub his azzaro's "girlfriend", he couldn't help but snarl silently. He wasn't sure if the stranger heard him. But after that he kept his maw shut, not wanting to taunt the other wolf into unnecessary battle. Even he had wits and Raezho knew if the stranger had back up he would have screwed things up. That was never good. Sad thing was that he screwed things up. A lot. Not this time at least. When the other dotharan sad they were following his pack, Raezho almost scoffed. Why would they follow him around? They had no reason to. They wouldn't do stupid things for no reason. His brother defended him telling the other that he was a male. Well obviously, did he look like a girl? The stranger must be blind or something. His brother proceeded to tell the stranger where they had been, making raezho stiffen up. Was it a good idea to tell the stranger? He glanced at the two, cursing his brother for not letting them stay in the forest or letting them go hunt so they wouldn't have to deal with this stranger. That could be feasting on elk or deer if they hd just gone hunting without having to deal with a wolf. Even worse, A khal. This khal seemed arrogant and blunt, as far as Raezho was concerned, The golden blond ezok hated wolves like that. His brother answered the Khal's other words, before flicking his ears at Raezho, asking him if he had to add in anything. bison ornla qe bensvelk He muttered under his breath, silent enough to not let the stranger hear. He looked up at the stranger, deciding to try and lighten up the situation a little. tir si nafl vorq batobot kiarf hefoc vi fanol? RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Rakharo - April 26, 2015 Sorry for the wait guys ( @Azzaro @Raezho ) I had a busy weekend after I returned from my absence :s
We could start wrapping up though and have you guys join officially to have more threads! indentPride is a way of thinking. It is a way of life. But too much pride in just one person isn't good. Azzaro was proud, too much for Rakharo to care, and if it wasn't because his brother had a little bit more sense than him maybe Rakharo would have chased them away a while ago. He was proud himself. indent"Ao... Wux tepoha itrewica vi zi mlasup ehaism mobi... Ti ir mot shafaer coi..." the Khal said to answer the Rakh's question. Scars were marks of battle, of masculinity, and whoever didn't have scars on him was either a girl or a puss under Rakharo's standards. However, they were two more possible recruits for his Khalas. Numbers he needed. And they were the only Dotharan he'd seen in months. indentAzzaro spoke. Claiming to be only travelers from Raesh Dahaan just like himself, and it made him wonder... They all had more in common than Rakharo thought. All of them had fleed Rhaesh Dahaan, and he didn't think Azzaro and Raezho would have left if they were comfortable there. They certainly must have had a similar reason to leave the homeland, and Rakharo hoped it was a good one. indent"Si tir ti tepoha tikil di rhoa sjerit. Vur wer teikic re still karif de tenpiswo. Shar sia Khalas ui oontanx versvesh vur yth geou ehtah vi z'ar shanin qumado persvek svabolen ekess waph. Yth tiliw klae jiil throdenilt bensvelk kaldakai ekess letoclo mrith wer maulkic." He paused for a second and looked up and down at them, studying them. He believed in their story, and was actualy glad that he wasn't the only one to leave the homeland. "Wux jiil vorq hefoc wux tiliw klae vi bensvelk achthend... Wiilirk ve. Majak dout waphic ekess ve vur wux geou agantal tepoha vi goawy persvek sia Khalas." he stopped again for a second, and stared with severity into both brother's white eyes. "Yenta thric vur sia Khalas geou tepoha vi bensvelk gribkoan ekik di wux." he said, not being 100% serious about it. Just 95%. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Azzaro - April 28, 2015 azzaroRaezho did have some sense with him and did not say anything offensive to the Khal in front of them, gods know what would have happened if the other Dotharan attacked. The two brothers would fight them off, but would probably have a short and dishonorable life, and Drakhavo would not like that one bit. The dark furred Ezok nearly smiled when Rakharo commented on how Raezho did not have a single scratch on him, making him a girl in the Khal's eyes. Even the usually serious older brother of the two could not resist poking fun at his brother, even with the sticky situation at hand. "Batobot si iaco mrith, ti wer luh zahae wer mlasup ehaism though. Jaciv uiulph nurh." He made an emphasis on the she but the joking tone was gone the moment the last word left his maw as he turned his attention back to the Khal. azzaroKhal Rakhavo then spoke, saying that he did not have bison herds yet, nor grass plains, that they were still far ahead but he would find a new grass sea where they would thrive, meaning the Khal and his Khalas. Then the fire eyed Dotharan offered them a place in his Khalas, saying that they looked like they could use a good meal and that if they followed the Khal, if they pledged loyalty to him, they would always have a place in the older wolf's Khalas. azzaroAzzaro's first decision was to reject the offer, he had left Raesh Dahaan to find a place for himself, to build a new Khalas where Raezho and himself would thrive, to raid and plunder other packs enough to make Drakhavo proud. To bear sons and daughters to carry on their family's legacy. But then he thought it through, the numbers that the Khal had would prove useful, and Rakhavo seemed like a strong and powerful leader, one that he would have been glad to follow before but suspicion that had grown on the journey here forbid him to do so now. When he was older, he would build a legacy of his own, but for now... azzaroShifting his form slightly so it looked respectful instead of defensive, dipping his dark crown, the older of the two brothers spoke in his low baritone. "Si, Azzaro, pledge sia loyalty ekess wux, Khal Rakhavo. Mobi geou qe thric soneir shafaer sia rhyaex naeck." Truthfully, the dark furred Dotharan did not think his brother would refuse the offer, even for a second. It promised adventure after all, and that was all Raezho ever wanted. azzaroTurning his head to Raezho, he mouthed Ti vi lex. He said that because Rakhavo had commented on how they seemed like they needed a good meal and just before that his golden unscarred brother had said something about starving and that they should go hunting. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Raezho - May 03, 2015 Raezho stood silently, shifting his weight from paw to paw. The other wolf seemed to calm down, before replying about how he didn't have any scars. Therefore making him a girl in the wolf's eyes. He groaned inwardly as his brother decide to take the matter further and poke at his pride. wer ergriff dril kii si mi scarless ui tagoa unlike wux He nudged his brother playfully. si gewjtokvi tepoha vi bensvelk sense di edarokic vur irisvir. si tira ti spend shio nomenes times mrith wer kaolaks ihk thric dril. He shut his mouth after that, not saying anything in case he would offend anyone. The Khal was strong, no doubt, Raezho could see the well packed muscle in his limbs. Then the Khal spoke, saying he didn't have bison herds or grass plains. But he would find a new great grass sea where they can thrive and then the Khal surprised him by asking them if they would join his Khalas, and if they pledge loyalty to the Khal, they would alway have a place in his Khalas. Raezho glanced at his brother, wondering if he would reject the offer, it seemed like something Azzaro would do. After all, His brother had planned to build a place for them two, not join a Khalas. But as Raezho wondered what his brother would do, he thought about the offer. It was tempting and promised a great adventure to him. But he would also stick with his brother. The choice was too hard. But Azzaro shifted his form to become something more respectful and surprised him by pledging loyalty to Khal Rakharo, and turned to him, mouthing "not a word". Raezho decided to give a typical eye roll, knowing it always annoyed his brother. Azzaro thought it was childish, but then again Raezho was your typical childish teenager. Raezho canted his head lightly, silently asking his brother if he was sure. But Azzaro always thought stuff through, if he joins, it means it is probably a good choice and Raezho should follow suit. But then... being back in a khalas might not allow him to wander off more. But he had always wanted to be either an asaverak or a kaolak, or both. But wandering was half his life, what if he wasn't allowed to be Raezho anymore? But Azzaro... There wasn't enough time to decide, he might as well stick with his brother. si, raezho pledge sia loyalty ekess wux, khal rakharo. si nishka qe wer ixen wer valignatic seanf wer gul. wux tepoha sia lex. The rest will come, but he was young and he had many more choices to make. RE: a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep - Rakharo - May 03, 2015 Sorry for not using the translator... It takes too much time :P
The two of them had that in common. Their wit. And so far none of them seemed unuseful at all. Raezho expressed his knowledge on plants and healing which picked Rakharo's interest even further. They needed a healer, someone to aid them in times of war and even pulling out babies from their mothers when the time came. No Khalas was complete without a Koalak. Raezho would find a place for him in Rakharo's new empire.
As for Azzaro, the golden Khal had seen a fire in his eyes that burned beyond being a mere follower. That fire had burned once in his own Bloodriders when they were still loyal to him, and he admired that on a wolf. He too, would easily find a good place within the lines of Rakharo's mighty army. They had both pledged their life to a new Khal, both of them with sincerity, and Rakharo bowed in respect to his new subordinates. His Khalas grew stronger, his family larger. It hadn't been a complete waste of time walking all thw way from Rhaesh Dahaan to this new place. They would be fine. "Honor to you both. I expect you to be loyal and faithful, but mostly, I will see to it that you two earn your place in my Khalas. This isn't a free offer... You," he turned to Azzaro, "will see my brother, and you will train with him. I don't care how good you are, you will do as I say... And you," he turned then to Raezho, "will carry on with your studies of plants. There are plants in this place I never saw in Rhaesh Dahaan, I expect you to have a lot to research. We need a good healer in our Khalas." he said, and turned around to go back with the rest of the group. He would introduce them to the Khalas and test them on their knowledge so that he knew what place they would take. The Dotharan had a strict hierarchy that no one could escape. |
