Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 14, 2015

The sun had settled once again leaving the stars and moon to do it's work. There was a bonus to being this high up. The stars above shined brighter than the usual night she has seen. Surrounded by darkness but the light remains. It sounded similar to Lacinia's case. She was surrounded by a dark force but he never manage to turn off her shining light. She never considered herself as evil. She's done the world some good by taking lives and surviving.

While laying on her nice spot on the ridge. This area was likely the same place she met Arion. Now thinking about she wondered what he was up to. Did he really intent on being her servant or was that just words he used to make her believe he would. There hasn't been enough time to see his true intentions but Lacinia counts on putting that to the test soon enough. She just needs to come up with a task suited for him. She needed wolves she could play with. Holding back on others was difficult. It's been a long while since she heard the songs of pain and joy. She was aware that she couldn't do anything like that yet. She has to wait for a clear chance without the possibility of losing something in return.

Relaxed and slightly tired she watched stars shine. So far things are improving for her. She wasn't really alone and the wolves here haven't really ran from her. It's possible that this place is for her but there was still lots of work to be done to have it be the perfect place that she has in mind.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 15, 2015

perhaps he can get her to change her views with murdering :P

The day had been a good one, he had patrolled the borders, remarked them and chased away a stupid loner. He had given him a torn ear and a couple of scars to help him remember to never trespass into Redtail Rise ever again and he was pretty sure by the way the loner had whined for mercy that he wasn't going to come back, for a very long time. And then Arion had went hunting and after praying to Diana for a successful hunt, he had spotted the scat of a herd of elk and after an afternoon of tracking, he had successfully brought down an elderly elk.

Arion had sacrificed a leg to Diana for her help and after he was sure she probably had her fill, he ate the leg and had begun absently gnawing on the bone, staring at the sky as dusk and the night settled over Teekon Wilds. He was pretty much an insomniac, the poppy seeds that helped his drug problem also helped his sleeping problem. That night, the Greek had found his supply was surprisingly low and even the remaining seeds had not been able to draw him into the clutches of Hypnos and Morpheus.

After sometime, he placed the leg bone in his paws and gazed at his work. The chocolate Greek had wanted to gnaw the shape of a lightning bolt onto the bone but it came out as a pathetic line. Gazing at it in mild frustration, he retreated into his den and placed it in a dent in his sleeping chamber which served as a cupboard of sorts. His bed of skins and moss did not appeal to him at all, and so with a flick of his tail, he turned and trotted out of his den, making his way to the ridge.

Somehow, Arion's paws led him towards the place where he had met Lacinia and coincidentally the place where she was now. He caught her scent from a distance and from that point, he had made sure to approach her from downwind, honey eyes focused on her charcoal form as he drew closer and closer, still downwind from her. Finally, the Greek ghosted forward, as swift as the wind and as silent as a shadow. "Hey Aklaq," he murmured softly in her ear, his warm breath on her neck. Then, the chocolate warrior settled himself beside her.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 15, 2015

The wind blew steadily, There was that strange feeling that something was going to happen. Lacinia remained still and carefully listened to the sounds around her. She was able to tell something was approaching her and quickly too. If she wasn't used to being stealthy she wouldn't have noticed anything. A straight on fight wouldn't smart for her. She needed to take the chance that maybe this wasn't an attack. Her best chances was to seem harmless and let them get closer then strike hard and fast. She waited for the right time before moving a muscle.

Right when she was about to snap at his throat he whispered in her ear. It was like a quick half turn but halted instantly. She realised it was an ally and more importantly Arion. 'Idiot' she thought to herself. She could have killed him and that would have been bad. It was rather close and she was glad she didn't strike at him. "If you were an enemy I would have ripped out your throat. Don't get close without allowing me to know it's you." She warned him in an aggravated tone. Next time he may end up getting hurt or worse. Lacinia has not dropped her guard even when inside the pack territory.

Arion settled next to her. She was a bit annoyed with him. She wanted him to apologize for trying to sneak up on her. "You might want to think carefully about what to say here or you might as well go away." It was never a good idea to sneak up on an assassin unless death was wanted. Arion better choose his words wisely or this night will end up going sour. She gazed in his eyes with her own fiery ones expecting to her the words she wanted. Being with her did demand something in return.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 15, 2015

She turned swiftly but stopped immediately, well, she wasn't as weak in sensing as he thought. Arion quickly jotted that down in his mental notebook and made sure to be even more careful next time, Lacinia spoke, saying if he was an enemy, she would have ripped out his throat. "But where's the fun in that?" the Greek spoke but nodded nevertheless. He had just managed to become her ally and was on his way to earning her trust, he did not want to ruin that so quickly and start all the way over again.

To him, she seemed like a difficult female to deal with and therefore he had to tread carefully with her, make sure not to upset her. It would be hard for Arion who had never really known much about wolf nature and emotions, but he would try. And he would not stop until he had what he wanted.

When Lacinia spoke again, Arion dipped his head, "I'm sorry," he murmured softly. Truthfully, the warrior was not one to apologize, but if he wanted to acomplish something with the mysterious girl, he had to do what he felt she wanted him to do. "Forgive me," he did not lift his proud chocolate crown to look at her, not until she had accepted his apology. If the Greek was going to be her servant, he might as well act the part.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 15, 2015

"I don't seek fun when my life could be on the line." She said coldly. Having to grow up in a difficult world made her aware of have fast life could end. One mistake and it was usually over when that mistake is cought. Having allies or friends can help cover those mistakes but since Lacinia lost it all it was up to her to be on her own guard with the skills and little strength she has. Her only advantage is to ambush and assassinate or her life would no longer be hers.

His apology was enough to keep her from shooing him away but wasn't enough to keep him safe from that risk. She returned to the position she was in before and continued to watch the stars at the distance. She would appear to be thinking about something out there but her mind was focused on Arion. He hasn't done anything for her yet and she didn't ask him to do anything yet so what did he come here? She asked herself that. Did he want something?

Her moment of silence may be enough to say that it was ok for him to stay or maybe it didn't. She decided to ask him anyway. "Is there something you want from me?" She said calmly. Then she leaned onto him "Or you felt cold and wanted me close." She teased in a sweet tone. After a few seconds she went back to her position as if nothing happend. In a way this was her kind of fun. What would he do?

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 15, 2015

Arion did not answer her coldly spoken words, for he had once believed in them too and to be honest, he still did but in a lesser degree. He had grown up as a bastard kid, hardship and challenges were naturally thrust upon him, especially being the firstborn of the litter. Because he was expected to protect his littermates from the cruel words of his packmates, but when they grew up and proved their worth over and over again, they were naturally accepted as the princes of the pack.

She did not speak, but appeared to have accepted his apology, her fiery eyes gazed at the stars, splattered across the midnight ebony sky and appeared to be deep in thought. He mirrored her gaze but instead looked at the moon, he thought of his old family and what they were doing now, he hoped they were safe and sound. They should be able to manage without him.

Then Aklaq spoke, breaking the smooth silence between them, she asked if there was something he wanted from her and surprisingly leaned onto him. Lacinia asked if he simply felt cold and wanted her close, her tone was sweet yet teasing and he wondered if it was a mere act. "I told you, I wish to be your friend," he replied in his silky baritone. "And I did wish for your company and your warmth," He leaned forward but paused, silently asking for her permission.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 15, 2015

Once again he brought up to subject of being her friend. She still didn't think it was possible. What made her believe that were her past friends. It was simple as long as you don't depend on someone they can't betray you. A friend to Lacinia is one that helps her without a price. Males always wanted something in return, always. So she was cautious. Calling him a friend would leave her vulnerable in the end. Unless he could prove to her that she can always trust him, it would be a no.

He wanted to lean against her but she shook her head meaning no. "First you'll need to show me that I can trust you as a servant." She said hinting that it may be possible.

He actually did come with an intention, not exactly one she was excited about. If he wanted permission he would need to do something. She thought about it for a moment then decided something. Then she suddenly leaned against his side again, her legs extended to the side basically meaning her back as on him.. "Alright, tell me what you've been up to lately. Have you done anything interesting? Maybe cought something or someone around the borders. You're often on patrol right?" She asked him calmly. There was a bit of hesitation at first but she choosen to forfill his request. In return she hope to get interesting information.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 16, 2015

Arion wasn't the most likable wolf on the planet, with his sarcastic and unsocial attitude. He was unpredictable and a free spirit. But if there was one thing reliable about him was his steadfast loyalty and protectiveness to his friends, family, those he cared deeply about. Betraying them was simply out of question in his mind, in fact, he did not even understand why wolves would betray those that they cared about and loved. It was absurd.

The stallion drew back when she shook her head and licked a paw boredly, wondering if he should go back into his den and continue gnawing the stupid bone. But then Lacinia spoke, saying she needed to trust him as a servant first before she could trust him to be a friend. Arion withheld a scoff, after all, he, doing what she wanted now was simply what he was doing in hopes to be her friend. In his mind, he was not her servant at all.

Suddenly Aklaq leaned against his side, her dark fur touching his own chocolate one and spoke. "I've been trying to earn my warrior trade," the stallion began, "I'm nearly there though, just a few more fights and I will be able to become an official warrior. I chased a loner out from our territory this morning, gave hip a ripped ear and a couple of scars to remember me by," a grin crossed his maw when he pictured the loner's face. "I also caught an elk in the afternoon."

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 16, 2015

Leaning against him didn't create any interesting reactions but as requested she remained to keep him company. It's seems that he was trying to prove himself as a warrior but to Lacinia she already knows he was a true warrior. Why else would she want him as a servant? His strength is what she wanted. She did understand that and could tell that there is more power in numbers.

What cought her interest was talking about a loner. But the way that was dealt with wasn't the way she would have wanted it. "A loner came into the territory?" She said with interest. "I think you should have captured him and brought him to me. I would have wanted to play with him a little before letting him run with his tail between his legs. Next time someone unwanted comes please bring him to me." She said in a sweet voice. If she could torture someone and hear their cries over nothing it would make her happy. Nothing was better than punishing those who deserved it.

Then the next subject of hunting. An elk wasn't that easy to hunt alone but even though Lacinia wasn't strong she could still hunt creatures of that size without much problem. So it didn't exactly impress her. "An elk? I cought a deer during my lone days, which one do you think is better?" She asked.

She felt comfortable where she was and relaxed in a way. It wasn't enough to say she trusted him. She was used to this really, being close to someone was necessary for her to get what she wanted. As long as he didn't move she could stay there for a while.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 17, 2015

Her warmth slowly seeped through his ebony dusted fur and into his body, it filled him with a fiery kind heat, the nice kind. He exhaled softly and subtly moved closer to her before stopping himself from inching closer. What was he doing? Where was his cool eloquence? His stoic demeanor? Why had they abandoned him? What in the name of Hades was he doing? Arion was confused, and he did not like the feeling one bit. He had always believed sentiment was a defect and tried to separate himself from his emotions but it was rushing back now. Quickly, he built a mental barrier and stopped it from overwhelming him.

The Greek then attempted to focus his attention on Lacinia who was talking to him, saying if he found a loner next time, to bring him or her to her. "Got it, I'll try my best, but leading a loner into our territory might not be the best idea. If I can't lead them in, I'll howl for you." He said with a final tone, saying that was the best he could do and nothing she said, not her sweet words or seductive motions would get him to change his mind.

"I prefer caribou," Arion stated his opinion calmly, although he was a confused, angry, nervous wreck inside. Nothing like this had happened to him before and he did not like it one bit. The fuck was happening? He needed to keep a distance from his emotions, the stallion decided, he could not have such a weak feeling inhabiting him.

No, this would be the last it happened.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 17, 2015

It made her happy to hear that he was going to try to capture a loner if it came. Even if the loner couldn't be brought in the territory she could take care of it at the borders as long as Arion was in control. If she controled Arion then that meant she was in control. There was nothing sweeter than that idea in mind. When things go her way it was easy to bring her to a good mood. She wondered how strong Arion was compared to others. She would have more control if she had more like him around but that meant searching deep. Maybe he could help her with that.

She stretched a bit, pushing against him on purpose. "If you could do that it would surely allow me to reward you later afterwards. I have plently of free time so I'm sure I could fulfill your request. As long as you are deserving of course. Do you think you're deserving?" She said in a calm kind tone. She really would do anything to keep a grip on him. If she started to depend on him she wouldn't want to lose him.

Lacinia felt some unease within him. He didn't feel relaxed which didn't make him that comfortable. Without putting much thought in it she got up. "Arion, there is nothing to worry about here." She said as she laid on top of him diagonally giving her atleast a paw to work with. With it she worked on his shoulder, appling soft pressure from point to point. "You're in home territory while I'm here." To make him more comfortable he needed to be more relaxed. The best thing to do was to get him mind to relax right?

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 18, 2015

Arion did not believe she was in control, he was letting her believe that she controlled him, that he was her servant but in truth he only wished to be her friend and if acting as her servant helped him with his goal, he would do it. The Greek was a skilled actor, he could even make tears leak from his eyes immediately if it was needed. It took time to perfect it and sometimes it still did not work, but when it did, it proved a valuable asset.

She stretched, pulling him out of his thoughts and nearly made him both jerk away and lean in at the sametime, thank Zeus he managed to keep still although a slight shiver ran down his spine. She was playing him, he knew, and Arion was falling into her trap. But he was stronger than that, he knew, and therefore he was determined to act normal. Aklaq spoke about rewarding him and fulfilling his request. "It depends," he answered simply.

Lacinia seemed to sense the unease within him and rose onto her paws saying there was nothing to worry about and that he was in home territory when he was with her. Then she lay on him, he tensed but forced himself to seem alright with the changes. She began applying pressure softly, gently, relaxing his muscles and he exhaled softly. "I know," he murmured softly, honey eyes gazing at the stars that covered the sky.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 18, 2015

Giving a massage lost it's fun quite fast. It wasn't satisifying at all for her. Something was missing, something wasn't right. She gave it a try but the results were just disappointing. That was the source of it? Why was it not fun? This feeling was ruining her mood. She looked down at Arion while he looked at the stars. Her eyes grew darker. This was boring so she just had the urge to change to something funner.

She could atleast warn him that she was about to do something that he might not enjoy. "Arion, there is something bothering me. Would you mind resisting?" She said softly in his ears before suddenly jabbing a point on his shoulder with her claw. It was meant to hurt and even more if he moved, could risk pulling a muscle which would made things worse for him. "You'll hurt yourself more if you move." She said with a devilish grin. Being on top of him while he was laying down would make it difficult for him to escape without problem. "One wrong move and you might never be able to move that leg."

A situation like this was much more exciting. It was something she needed that just couldn't be held back. Arion had exposed himself a bit too much in front of her, she just had to atleast once. "Be a good servant and let me play with you a bit." She said with a small cute giggle. Truly this was part of her real nature. Right now she wasn't too concerned about the consequences. She just wanted to have some fun.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 19, 2015

Suddenly, Lacinia spoke, saying that there was something bothering her and if he minded resisting. Arion could not even utter a single word before she jabbed a point in his shoulder with a claw, pain racked through his body but the stallion did not speak. It was nothing compared to what he had experienced before, in fact, it felt like an ant bite in comparison to the punishments and tortures he had endured on his journey to Teekon Wilds.

She was a maniac, Arion decided, a demon of the underworld, a punished soul that had somehow escaped. She was ultimately crazy and in that moment, he severed whatever contract he had with her about being her servant. He would not, could not be the servant of a torture lover. But the ebony dusted warrior did not speak and allowed her to do whatever she wanted to do while he formed a plan in his mind.

He would allow her to do what she wanted with him, but his guard was up now and if he felt she was doing something dangerous, he would use Junior's method in their spar.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 19, 2015

It still was missing something important. A change in tactics didn't solve the problem. He wasn't reacting like most wolves do. Where was the fear she wanted to see. Where were the sounds of pain? Arion didn't provide those. It was starting to frustrate her. Do all males react this way? If they did then torturing wasn't going to be fun at all. There would be no point to it.

Lacinia sighed and simply stopped everything then rolled off of him onto her paws. "You're no fun. It's as if you are used to this kind of thing." She was disappointed, never expected him to not really react. It made the efforts seem like a waste. Doubt she would try again knowing now that nothing would really happen. She wondered how many wolves like him exist. She would have to skip the fun part and go straight to the killing in that was the case. Then that wouldn't exactly be a fun life. If she has to change her ways she must atleast find something to replace what she enjoys.

She couldn't kill him nor torture him now. That didn't leave much to give her control with. "If wolves like you exist then there's not really much hope in my future. And now I ask myself again, why did I survive?" She said as she look up at the stars. Although she kinda attacked him she didn't expect a counter attack.

Still she wondered if her life wasn't meant to be happy but instead there was suppose to be a purpose she had to fulfill. A goal she must complete. That purpose was unknown. Maybe she had to use her life for something since she somehow didn't lose that.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Arion - May 19, 2015

one more post from you and archive? :)

Sharp chocolate ears caught her sigh as she rolled off him and onto her paws, informing him that he was no fun and that it was as if he was used to getting tortured. Arion rolled his eyes at that and he too, sat up onto his haunches. He decided to keep being her 'servant' for now but if she attempted to torture him once more...then...it would depend on what mood he was in. For truthfully, the consequences differed when he was in different moods.

Aklaq then proceeded to say that if wolves like himself existed then there was not much hope in her future, then she asked herself why did she survive. The ebony dusted warrior simply replied "Because the fates willed it to be," then he rose onto his paws, straightened himself to his full height and shook his glossy brown coat. Fierce, hard honey eyes were on her as he spoke, softly yet with a cold edge. "I didn't kick you off this time because I wanted to see if you would continue, but attempt to hurt me once more and I will no longer serve you."

Arion did not add the fact that he might report her to Saena and get her kicked out too, for that part was still too far away, too far into the future for it to actually happen. The Greek turned away and made his way back to his den without as much as a glance back at Lacinia.

RE: Stars don't wish, They shine - Lacinia - May 19, 2015

Without much warning Arion left. Leaving behind the idea that he would no longer be her servant if she did that again. She turned her head to look the other way. Well then he just wasn't a servant to her then. She didn't need him. But seeing him leave like that made her think about what she did. It felt like it was her mistake. She turned her head to look at him go again but he was already gone. "I'm.. sorry.." She said softly. Then just looked down at the ground.

Suddenly a dark voice from her memories spoke to her in her mind. "Our fate is to eliminate those that take our happiness away. How else can we keep our happiness? Stop trying to hold on to things when you can't hold on to them." It said. Lacinia completely agreed to that now. She couldn't hold on so why does she try. She should focus on making sure enemies don't exist so she could keep whatever happiness she could find. As for Arion she'll leave him alone for now as long as he doesn't try taking anything away. Until he has given something she should ignore him.

Her mind was now set on a purpose. A purpose she once had before. All she needed to do was find all those enemies. The only problem she sees is that not all wolves are enemies. She'll need to play smart to discover those who give her happiness as well as the ones who take away. Arion in this case was neither for now.
