i'll be your light, your match, your burning sun - Ivitaruk - May 15, 2015

Ivitaruk's stride were large -- grace did not always accompany, nor speed.. but when he set his mind to a journey, he could certainly do so with a quickness that only a longer legged wolf could accomplish. The day took him past the Spine, though not without a clipped howl to @Tonravik to notify her of his absence. He did not intend to be gone for longer than a day -- with the previous Alpha of the land seemingly have returned and left once more, it would seem the Spine was finally ready to flourish beneath Tartok's reign.

A warrior that followed his orders, Ivitaruk did wonder why he remained at the Spine. The mission had been set with clear directions -- find Tonravik, and aide her in establishing the next branch of Tartok. And yet his arrival had been late -- she thrived under leadership now, and it would seem the only benefit to her having him here was to keep things in check for a little while longer.. but the Spine was doing well, and he did not know if she would soon send him back.

For now, though, his creamy paws trailed along the banks of a river. His ears flattened to his skull as he dipped his muzzle down, drinking from the fresh water to quench his thirst.. pushing his thoughts aside. Perhaps one day, the next order would be for him to begin his own Tartok branch -- and then he could finally bring honor to his name.

RE: i'll be your light, your match, your burning sun - Kivi - May 15, 2015

Here comes trouble :)

Kivi had heard the howl signaling to the entire pack or how she now has a death sentence at the Spine. Unfortunately for the rest of the pack who had not witnessed her spar with Tonravik, they did not have her scent, or atleast Kivi belived they didn't. The female knew they most certainly did not have her name as she did not tell any Spine who she was, not even the male she went swimming with.

When the familiar scent of the Spine pack hit Kivi's nose she lifted her head from the river and began to make her way toward the wolf. She was gald to see it was none of the fight witnesses, but instead a stranger she had never met before. The female silently walked towards the male, but kept a good distance away incase he would attack. She gave a chuff to alert him that she was there, and waited for his response, wondering if it was even a good idea to be approaching the make right now.

The water was refreshing – and it offered him perspective. His tongue slid across his lips with satisfaction, and just as the fiery wolf was about to make his way to shore, another came upon him. He regarded her without an attempt to mitigate his stare, noting the fresh wounds upon her figure.

What suspicions he held were only confirmed when her scent came to him in that moment. The foolish girl was brazen – of that he was certain. Having come upon Tonravik in a small lake, washing away the blood of battle, he had been informed by one of his pack mates to check over the scuffle site.. to take in the scent of the offender who had bled upon their grounds.

And now she was before him, eyeing him with a wariness that only further solidified her guilt. Ivitaruk could have feigned uncertainty then – perhaps goaded her closer.. and either attempted to gain information from her.. or even inflicted her impending death upon her. But he did not take her a creature for pure stupidity, despite the lack of distance between them. “Come here, little snapdragon,” he crooned quietly, his large form now shifting toward her as his paws pulled himself fully from the waters. “Your days are numbered.”

RE: i'll be your light, your match, your burning sun - Kivi - May 20, 2015

She watched as the wolf spoke and it became clear to Kivi that this wolf did indeed know what she but she only smiled in return. He walked out of the waters and Kivi turned her head sideways confused on why he did not attack her. He knew what she had done to his alpha, but yet he did not attack. Why? "If I come any closer it may not end well for either of us" she said and smiled at him. This was an oppurtunity to injure a Spine wolf without his pac by his side, but yet Kivi made no move to injure him. He had done nothing to her so far, and as long as it stayed that way she would not attack him.

"Why do you not attack an enemy when you see one" she asked curiously and took a step forward. Was he afraid? Kivi smiled at that thought..she like believing others were afraid of her. She took another step forward and sat down. Now was the true test. Would he attack when she was sitting and in a vulnerable position?

He did not respond to her – instead, his brown eyes regarded her quietly.. thoughtfully. There was opportunity here – she was brazen, and in turn, she would pay for it. His previous assumption that she held some form of intelligence was soon swindled away as she sat down before him.. completely disarmed and uncaring.

Honor held a certain appeal – but it did not always win battles. And bringing back the severed head of the female before him would escalate him quite high in the ranks of Tonravik.. of that, he was certain. Fortunately of Ivitaruk, honor also held no basis when it came to survival of the fittest – it was a kill or be killed world, and it would seem the little snapdragon had yet to learn this.

So he rushed her. His muzzle slouched lower,, his jaws agape. His ears slid back to his skull to protect himself, while his forelimbs shifted outward for premium balance. She had foolishly even taken a step closer to him, leaving her even less of a chance to react to his attack, and while surprise and force were on his side, Ivitaruk rolled his shoulder outward toward the she-wolf to knock her from balance should she try to leap up, his jaws seeking to grasp her shoulder to slice her flesh and taste her blood.

*Saves thread from becoming dead*

From the shadows, she watched the two little mutts with interest. It looked as if a fight was going to break out. Well, well! Maybe she could pick of of the loser. An easy kill. A smile curved over her maw as she listened to the two wolves. It sounded like they were both enemies. Then she knew for a fact a fight would break out.

Her muscles tensed with excitment as she saw the male lunge. Right at that moment she jumped out with a wicked smile. "Naughty wolves. You shouldn't be playing here..." She slowly moved closer. "Run along to your groups before things really get ugly."
