your demons come to life - Mercury - May 21, 2015 This is all welcome but it'd be awesome if a Stavanger Bay wolf might pop in since he's pretty close to their borders. ;-)
Mercury understood that he was pushing the limits, moving boldly between the outer territory of Stavanger Bay and Sea Lion Shores. It was a path that the DiSarinno knew well, having spent several months growing up within the confines of Ragnar's bay. He had been born in Horizon Ridge, though, raised under the impression that Ragnar was his father. Was their anything his mother hadn't lied to him about? A bitter taste — metallic as if he'd licked a dirty penny — lingered in his mouth, and yet she had come clean, she had told them the truth, but uncertainty lingered. Truth had been his main motivation as he first went to Odinn's Cove, to learn about the man he'd once called Father. It was a shit hole, though Mercury did not have to have been born there to realize that Vali was not leadership material. In fact, it'd taken him only a few days to come to that conclusion. Mercury had let the Vikings train him but he left heading next for the last known location of his blood father, Crete. And Mercury found him. It had been alarming at first, getting used to the fact that his father was a mute; but Crete's numerous siblings within Flightless Falcons had acted as translator when they'd been around. Being around the Redleaf-DiSarinno's did bring with it the impression that he belonged, their claims of him taking strongly after Aether, their Patriarch, except for his eyes, closer to their Matriarch's March Owl. In his litter he'd always been the black sheep, and it had been nice to no longer feel like that. Yet, something about the thought of the Teekon Wilds kept tempting him, like a siren calling him back; against his better judgment Mercury had listened. There was little doubt he would come to regret it, he hadn't left on the best terms, hadn't even really told anyone but Gyda where he was going. Then again, it was hard to explain what he was searching for when he didn't even know it himself. A sense of himself — his identity. He had found it with his massive Redleaf-DiSarinno family, though perhaps it was the knowledge that some of them had found their way to the Wilds — namely Junior and her father, Peregrine that lured him back. Or perhaps it was the consideration that there were limitless possibilities for him but that he had to return to home in order to be presented with them. Whatever the case, Mercury found himself pacing the familiar scent marker, brow furrowed at the faded scent of Ragnar, but he was not curious enough to call. The ebony tyrant was not so sure that he wanted to be found, though he knew he had left the opportunity wide open by being so close to their borders nevertheless. RE: your demons come to life - Charon - June 07, 2015 this looked lonely <3 @Mercury
Charon was out patrolling, tail lifted and head carried fiercely into the air, along Stavanger Bay's borders when he noticed the scent of a stranger nearby. Charon halted to look in the direction, but didn't instantly find anyone. Although he considered finishing his patrol without checking things out, the boy decided against this. He was drawn by curiosity, but told himself that it would be good to make sure this stranger he'd smelled wasn't doing anything funny or got closer to the borders; that he knew there was a pack here to watch out for. When the youth neared, he saw a black wolf. Charon approached him with the same air of arrogance that he had patrolled the borders with, making sure that the wolf knew that he was part of Stavanger Bay and would not be afraid to defend it if need be. "What're you doing here?" asked -- demanded -- Charon, not-so-polite as always, and he halted at a safe distance, waiting for the black wolf to introduce himself and tell Charon what he was doing here. |
