From dawn to dusk - Wynter Wolf - May 23, 2015

AW but maybe a few of the wolves i havent thread with before. @Lacinia @Gunnar @Smash. Minor PP potentially of whoever replies first unless they want to play it of as some other creature causing a disturbance to scare of the rabbit and not themselves.

Wynter was taking the oppurtunity to take a stroll. the sun was beginning to set and it was the most beautiful time of day to be sat up on the ridge. However, tonight was different. Tonight Wynter was determined to get to know the forest a bit better. She hadn't spent a lot of time down there because most of her time had been spent up in the den she shared with her mate.

It was awful lazy once Wynter thought about it. She hadn't been putting her skills to any use except to hunt. The guilty feeling loomed over her head like a gray cloud threatening to rain on her. Her ears twitched as she made her way among the trees. They weren't as big as the Sequoias back at the sound but it was still nice. They provided plenty of diverse wildlife and shade from the summer sun.

Wynter paused and nosed around one of the trees then decided to keep walking for a bit. Perhaps she would hunt. Wynter's ears and nose were now focused on the surrounding area waiting for something anything she could eat to wander into her path. She sat patiently by the trunk of one of the trees tail twitching slightly.

It wasnt long before a small rabbit caught Wynter's eye. She watched it carefully getting ready to chase it when suddenly something scared off the rabbit. Couldn't have been her because the breeze was going the other way and she hadn't moved an inch. Wynter looked around to see if she could spot what just scared off her meal, slightly annoyed.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Lacinia - May 24, 2015

Today was suppose to be a day where she could forget about everything going on. A true day where she didn't have to think and could just relax a bit. This really came from her lazy side, as long as it made her happy she would embrace her laziness. There was one thing missing that would allow her to be lazy and that was the location. She needed to find a place where she could be lazy and a place where she could avoid doing work when she didn't feel like it. Staying hidden meant no working unless found right?

Lacinia decided to search the forest for a secret place but she wasn't lucky yet. Over her long period of searching she cought the presence of a rabbit nearby. But she wasn't interested in hunting one today. She was naturally silent but wasn't trying to hide at all. She remained in place for a moment and she saw a wolf at the opposite side of the rabbit. With a sudden breeze the rabbit took off and none of the wolves moved to catch it. If anyone wanted that then it was too late to catch it.

If she was motivated she could have cought the rabbit with ease. Fast and silent, don't give it a chance to detect. Her packmate didn't seem to be a good of a hunter as Lacinia. She thought it would be funny to play on that. She chuckled before speaking. "Times up! Looks like you weren't fast enough. The more time you give it to more likely it will run off." Charging in quietly yet quickly was the way of an assassin. It also works well when hunting which was a huge bonus that helped her alot.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Wynter Wolf - May 24, 2015

Wynter sighed in disappointment. Yet another potential meal had escaped. Her skills really were rusty. Something she ought to work on. She needed to learn to take care of herself. She didn't have any reason not to do anything other than her utter laziness. Which made her no excuse for a pack mate.

She sensed the presence of another wolf and looked in the direction the scent came from. It was a wolf she hadn't met yet. Had she only just joined the pack. This wolf had the midnight black pelt similar to that of her mate's but she had the amber eyes the same as her. They stood out more though because of the darker pelt. Boy do i miss a lot standing up on that ridge all day. The wolf began to give her advice. Something Wynter already knew but she was grateful anyways. "My hunting skills are a little rusty. Didn't think anyone would be watching. No one was around when i got here," she said slightly embarrassed that a wolf, who seemed fairly confident in her ability to hunt, had just watched her pack mate fail to catch a small rabbit.

"I don't believe we have met before. I spend a little too much time up on the ridge it seems," she said with a small chuff as if humouring herself.  "I'm Wynter," she introduced herself with a friendly smile.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Lacinia - May 24, 2015

Seems the hunter was a bit disappointed. What was there to expect? Lacinia understood the effort that was needed to hunt but for her it was really all in or nothing. Holding back usually never ends well, What she would call it: Lack of total effort. But a wolf learns much more with failures. Living in a world where failure wasn't allow made Lacinia used to either go all in or not at all but never in the middle. She was able to easily share her experience with the female. For some reason it was just easy to trust other females, even more if it was a pack mate.

Rusty skills wasn't an excuse to her, it went back to the lack of effort to maintain ones abilities. In other words Wynter was a lazy wolf. Lacinia had nothing against that, she wants to be lazy too but life itself demands work. "You must have had a comfortable life, if not you wouldn't be rusty. Comfort does make you a bit dependant doesn't?" She said calmly. Although she wanted comfort and a place where she could be lazy she knew that it will have an impact on her abilities if she made it a real habbit. She couldn't afford to lose her edge yet.

"They call me Aklaq. If Arion refers me as something else then be sure to punish him or tell me about it." It was a minor trust issue. Trusting males wasn't easy at all. Even if Arion says that he's her servant she still didn't want to depend on him. If Wynter was a lazy wolf maybe she found some of the best places to just lay about. Maybe she'll ask soon enough, She still needed to learn a bit more about her.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Wynter Wolf - May 24, 2015

Wynter was a little annoyed the wolf had implied her life was comfortable. Aka she was lazy. "I wouldn't call it lazy, just the past couple of times I have eaten it has been either brought by others as we were socializing or it was already dead. My life has been anything but comfortable until I got here. These past couple weeks I've spent most of my time on the ridge. Adjusting and just plain thinking." Wynter stated. It was all true really any of the meals she had had were that of kill that had already been hunted or someone had shared their own.

She admitted it might be a little lazy and she was just making excuses that made her sound like a total diva.

Wynter nodded as the wolf introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you," she said being polite but she wasn't sure this conversation was going well. She would still talk to this wolf because she is a pack mate and she would like to get to know them.

"I'll make a note of that and be sure to tell him of otherwise," Wynter said with a chuff and a small smile. Turns out she wasn't the only one who didn't get a long with the dark pelted male. "You and Arion get off to a rough start?" She asked curiously. Maybe this would be an interesting story. He is who he is after all.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Lacinia - May 25, 2015

"I think what matters is here and now. It could be easy now but you never know when things can suddenly change. You know what they say when you live in a dangerous world? Stay sharp." She said with a smile. "I try to get my own food, I've already been offered something before but I turned them down." When it came to proving she could take care of herself she would always reject help no matter what it was. Lacinia was physically weaker than many but she was still able to survive by taking on the ways of an assassin.

About Arion, He was hard to understand. Lacinia couldn't figure how his mind works but it's clear that she doesn't really have a grip on him. She had made him mad at her so there was a doubt that he would keep being her servant even though he said he would still be one. Could she really trust his words or were they just used to take advantage of her. Until she discovers his real intentions she was just going to have to play along like she depended on him.

Her smile disappeared as she thought about him. "Arion seems to be difficult to deal with. Lets say we made a deal but I have a hard time believing that he would keep his word. He better not be taking advantage of me. I'll surely make him regret it if he does." Lacinia was serious there. Even if he was stronger than her she will find a way to make him suffer.

She shook her head. "Anyway today will be a nice day, I just want to relax for now." She said, returning to her smile.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Wynter Wolf - May 25, 2015

"Yea that makes sense. I admit i feel a little guilty having spent all that time up in my den," she said pausing for a moment. "If it makes any difference. I only accepted the one then told them if i wanted more i'd get it myself," she joked. It was true. Having taken some from Arion's hard earned stash she had told him that if she wanted more she would just get her own.

"I know what you mean," she said in return to her reply about Arion maybe being hard to work with. Then when she mentioned something about them having a deal. Immediatly a small red flag went off in her head. Arion seeme to enjoy making deals with his packmates. She had recently figured out Arion and her mate had some sort of deal too.

"A deal? What sort of deal?" she asked tilting her head curiously. Maybe the deal was similar to the one Reek and Arion had. As it was this deal seemed very important to the black coated fae.

"It is a nice day," Wynter said with a smile.  "Although i think i might have done a little too much relaxing these past couple of days, so I'm going to attempt to make myself useful." she said with a small chuff. "Hence why I was epically failing at hunting," she grinned and laughed a little.

RE: From dawn to dusk - Lacinia - May 27, 2015

"It's simple really, he doesn't want me to call him a servant in front of others." She said calmly. Now that she said that out loud something did seem off about it. She could call him a servant in front of others if he wasn't there right? It's exactly what she did here and she didn't see a problem with it. Still why would he make that kind of deal? Maybe it's for his pride as a warrior. If that was the case "Uhm, Avoid calling him my servant. I don't think he'll like that even if he said he would allow me to call him that."

For some reason being lazy had an attrative pull to it. She knows it doesn't help at all with survival but it can keep one fresh and healthy. So Lacinia would never have anything against it. If the world allowed it she would be lazy all the time. Although it's not the case, if she could be lazy for a day and not worry about anything she would take it.

Wynter wanted to make herself useful. Strangly Lacinia thought about having her as a servant that moment. "If you want I can drill the basics of hunting back into your head and then you could do favors for others. If relaxing is something you enjoy know that I learned acupressure techinques. I can give you a free trial of it all but afterwards I would ask for some favors in return." She gave her smile. She wondered if Wynter would accept the offer. She expected an ok at the very least. Being connected by deals and task was a good way to see and test loyality.
