stranger danger - Bazi - May 31, 2015 Whilst the wolves hid away from the storm, other creatures saw an opportunity. The creature descended the mountain on nimble paws. She had set up camp at the rear of Nova Peak, hunting in the plains to the north and avoiding any wolves that scaled the peak. But the scent of pups had piqued her interest. It was subtle, brought to her heights by visiting members of the pack. She sensed their presence in their footprints - on scraps of fur seized by bramble. Tesla liked pups. Loved pups. The young mountain lion's forepaws hit the forest floor without a sound. She was in the heart of claimed territory now - her first time on this side of the mountain since the pack had caught her attention. The storm reached down from above, disturbing the needles and leading the branches in a violent, angry dance above her head. The predator crept forward, staring eyes looking between the trees for any sign of wolf. Not that far away, Bazi stepped out of the den to check for any sign of her pack-mates. RE: stranger danger - Scimitar - June 01, 2015 The rain had soaked his pelt completely – it clung to his large form, making him appear far lankier than normal. Only wet like this when he took to swimming in larger bodies of water (which was not often) Scimitar had to resist the urge to sit down upon the muddy ground and scratch away the itch that seemed to consume him. Instead, the regal was far more intent upon reaching his family. The others, as few as they were, seemed keen on remaining within shelter, as he had hoped they would, and now it was time for the cinnamon Alpha to do the same. Coming down the path to his den, he noticed a flash of white just as a clap of thunder erupted above them – quickening his pace, the Frostfur cast his bright eyes upon his mate, giving her a hesitant grin at his ragged appearance. RE: stranger danger - Bazi - June 07, 2015 An intense flash of lightning blinded her. Bazi turned her head over her shoulder, squinting to regain her sight. When she turned back, a friendly face was grinning at her. "Hey, handsome," she called to him, forced to raise her voice to be heard over the storm. It was making short work of her coat, beading the guard hairs until they sagged under the excess weight. Soon, they would both look like drowned cats. The wind tugged at her, and Bazi's broadened her stance in protest. "Where is everyone else? Are they safe?" A mere hundred meters away, an unwelcome visitor seized upon the scent of very small wolves. Feel free to play the lion. :D
RE: stranger danger - Scimitar - June 15, 2015 He prowled closer – eager to sweep up alongside her and cradle her against him.. if not for the warmth, then for the comfort of the storm. Even with her voice attempting to call out against the storm, it was harder to hear her. “I think so,” he offered, his tone lifting to battle the noise of the whipping winds. Wind whipped past him, drenching him. It had been hard to keep tabs on where their members were staying – but he could only hope they had bunkered down the storm together somewhere. He finally reached her – oblivious to the cat lurking even closer behind him, his muzzle swept down to brush the top of her fur with his tongue, reveling in her scent. Within their den, their puppies rested safely – all was well in the world. |
