Nobody Like You - Kivi - June 10, 2015

For @Tonravik <3

Kivi on her way to mess around with the Spine wolves when something stopped her dead in her tracks. It smelt like Zhavvi. Why on earth would the Dotharan princess come here? Kivi lowered her nose and realized that Zhavvi was heading in the direction of the crazy pack. Kivi could tell her scent was not fresh and that there was no use in rushing to the Spine. Instead she just prayed the the girl remembered their training and survived because Kivi had a feeling they would attack Zhavvi.

She sighed but continued her on her path to the Spine. She was back for revenge, and had come back for her damn tail. Not at the Spine quite yet but instead in the forest close it, Kivi stopped to rest before going any further.

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

Tonravik never forgot a scent.

And the very scent of the wolf she desired to kill danced in the air this late evening, and all of her pent up ire, her anger, reared its malevolent head and she followed the scent, tracking it as easily as she would track the moose in her home. Kivi had become prey to the leader of the Spine, and while she had the upper hand, the leader would hunt the wolf sure to arrive at their doorstep. The forest she stepped in was under the Spines dominion, and how their scent seemed to come from the trees themselves as they stood like sentinels was testament to their control.

She stalked through the wood, moving to intercept the plains wolf.

The leader was silent enough in her approach, stealthy 'til the very last, when she revealed herself with a baleful snarl, the whites of her teeth veritably glowing in the dilapidated ray of light that fell upon her muzzle, first, and as she drew closer, the rest of her hulking form. Her approach was slow, giving Kivi the time she needed to leave; the snarl was sign enough that she would be merciless in her attack until the other ran home, or died. The agouti wolf could have no doubts that Tonravik was death for her; and here death came, picking up speed to launch her first assault, to attempt to ram into the other whilst setting her defenses cause the other to fall many steps backward, or perhaps even fall altogether.

RE: Nobody Like You - Kivi - June 10, 2015

Unaware of the approaching threat Kivi made no move to defend herself. A snarl filled her ears and Kivi turned to see the dark alpha slowly approaching. Kivi wasn't expecting an attack so sudden and by the time she made any move to defend herself it was to late. She was hit with a major blow that caused her to stumble and trip over her own feet. How embarrassing.

Kivi wasted no time in attacking by snapping at the heels of the ebony furred wolf. She wanted to taste the sweet blood of her enemy, and after Tonravik had such a successful attack Kivi needed to redeem herself. She squirmed to reach the Alpha's heels while still on the ground. She was hoping to land an attack which would cause a distraction so she could recover.

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

The other fell to the earth and when she realized what occurred, moved to snap at her heels. Tonravik felt the others fangs snap at them, but was swift to side-step even after some harassing bites. The leader moved backward and her weight was thrust into the next forward movement, lips peeled in a menacing display as she sought to grip the others throat between her jaws.

Kivi wanted blood; Tonravik wanted her life. This was no game; for her family, her future, her everything was kept in the sanctuary of the Spine. She would be damned if the other did not recognize this at last. The other returned time and time again for some reason; Tonravik would have no more of it.

RE: Nobody Like You - Kivi - June 10, 2015

Another blow. Teeth invaded Kivi's neck and the Dotharan female let out a snarl of anger. This fight was coming to an end and it looked like all hope was lost for Kivi. In a desperate attempt to get out of the dark wolfess's reach Kivi lunged at one of her legs. She needed to get out of his vulnerable position.

She was nervous now. She knew Tonravik was out for her life and Kivi stood very little chance of defeating her now. She didn't want to die...not yet at least. Not in her enemies jaws. She wanted to die as an old wolf with gray hair,  but at the moment Kivi didn't think that was going to happen. She believed this was her end.

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

Adjusted attack with consent. Ended way quicker than we thought doeeeee

When Tonravik felt the others fangs near her foreleg as the other contorted herself, Tonravik noted the exposed throat and went again for it. The others fear was an unpracticed kind, a thoughtless kind. It would be her end. She knew it definitively when she felt the others throat fully in between her jowls and she squeezed relentlessly, the pulse of the others life thrumming at a frantic pace against her tongue. The leader considered shifting to let her canine do the work its always done, to slice the jugular and let blood spray in her mouth in a romantic and final end.

But she made this slow, torturous, for the other. She squeezed roughly, against the windpipe, hearing the wheezing desperation and feeling it as Tonravik lay her weight down against the lighter wolf, asphyxiating, suffocating, up until the point Kivi stopped moving. Only then did Tonravik release, letting the head thump against the earth. She removed her weight from the plains wolf and began to pant, gazing toward the Spine, thinking in the peaceful silence.

;' (

She felt the grip on her neck leave but it sooned returned and this time it wasn't going anywhere. She squirmed underneath the ebony Alpha, but there was no escape. Kivi frantically tried to breathe, but she just couldn't find the air. Her lower jaw trembled in nervousness when she realized that she couldn't run from this fight.

Black dots appeared around her vision, and she no longer struggled against the other. There was no point in fighting. Kivi closed her eyes accepting death as a single tear rolled down her cheek. The darkness welcomed her with open arms and her once rapidly beating heartbeat slowed down. Kivi's still body fell to the earth as the fight came to an end. Silence swept over the forest as the body lay there, and the dark Alpha stood there victorious

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

Her contemplation was quick to end as she looked to the prone body of Kivi. The leader had not broken much of a sweat, but bled a little; the wounds were superficial, and within her reach. The leader lapped at her foreleg, the fang of Kivi breaking only skin, and even that wound was small.

And then she rose, calling to @Kroc. She thought of her mate, who she also summoned with a howl. @Kerosene and Kroc were both the swiftest wolves, wolves she could count on. Her cold gaze fell again to the defeated Kivi.

RE: Nobody Like You - Nanuk - June 10, 2015

The howl was practically unnecessary. She'd been on high alert ever since another Plains cur thought they could fucking waltz right in the fucking front door. To say Kroc was displeased was a vast understatement. She was pissed, livid, and so had doubled her patrols since the morning. So, the growls and snarls had been heard and she'd angled that way, picking up the pace when she picked up the scent of the one who'd taken the chunk out of her shoulder.

Crashing through the trees, Kroc bounded on scene, only to find that the bitch had already been felled. Her ears tipped forward in momentary curiosity, golden eyes switch to wolf that held her loyalty so thoroughly. In this, Kroc knew Tonravik would speak and so, she only asked the simplest of questions. "Are we ready to throw her dumb ass over a cliff or what?" It was basically her way of asking what Tonravik would like her to do, but she had no doubt that her point would get across one way or another.

RE: Nobody Like You - Iqniq - June 10, 2015

The call rose. Tonravik. The first for Kroc. A second for him. He heard it in the distance. Ears lifted, he listened and diverted his path immediately towards the forest. His paws carried him swiftly as he made good time over areas he was intimately familiar with. He moved, a flash a flame through the trees as he met up with Kroc and arrived upon the aftermath.

He saw them. His eyes swept over the scene as he caught sight of the fallen wolf upon the ground. Kivi. Distracted he pressed close, moving closer towards his mate with a gentle nudge to inspect the wound she had received. She'd be fine, but a worried thought still flickered through his mind. If pups were coming there'd need to be less of these risky scenarios.

Not that she needed it. She'd taken the wolf out with little damage to herself. It was proof of her prowess. It was also proof of Kivi's stupidity. He neared the Plains female and inspected her. Still breathing, but not conscious. "She's out cold." Either way he'd had enough of this and it past time they were a little more proactive about the situation. These Plains females needed to stop. Clearly their leader did not know how to control their wolves.

"I think it might be time to pay our new neighbors a visit." He glanced to Tonravik. She couldn't... word. He could and he'd been spying on the Plains wolves enough to have some semblance of their culture. They'd find a way to make this work. Hell. They could haul Kivi's ass back and gift her back to her alpha. Some welcome present.

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

Kroc first, as called. Then the flame. Krocs words were dismissed with the flick of an ear (though she could not behave as though she hadn't thought of it, to end it that way... But then she would not know for certain). It was meant well, and the leader did not wish to say anything.

Her flame spoke next, and the ice wall nodded.

She had spared the bitch.

If the trespasser was sensitive, she could scarcely imagine their leaders more likely than not irrational reaction to a well-deserved death. It was a long time coming, and she had enough.

To her mates words, she wrinkled her muzzle. But she knew he was right.

So she looked to Kroc, and rumbles, “You will stay and lead while we go.” It was a test, of course. If the pack had not fallen to shambles come their return, Kroc would find herself appointed as Beta.

RE: Nobody Like You - Nanuk - June 10, 2015

She frowned. The tank would much prefer the bitch to die than to simply be unconscious, but Kroc did not question the decision of Tonravik. SFB had arrived in tandem with herself and after the black female's deference of her question, Kroc spoke no more.

Gaze switching between her two alphas, the Warden listened intently, agreeing that it was time these fools were shown the error of their ways. She'd just been about to volunteer when Tonravik broke her own silence. The statement, though surprising, did not break the tank's stony veneer. "Will do." They both were fully aware that she would not let them down.

There were no well wishes or wishes for safe travels. They were going to visit a possible enemy pack, so it wasn't necessarily safe. The Tartok way was not to hope but to make it happen.

She said the only valid thing in that moment, her eyes first on Kerosene before settling on Tonravik.

"We can and we will." Survive. Surpass. Succeed. All of it. They were Tartok and that was the Tartok way.

RE: Nobody Like You - Iqniq - June 10, 2015

Tonravik wanted to come. He growled at her before he could stop it, but if she wanted to be there, okay fine. As long as she didn't say something off... which considering she rarely spoke might not be such a problem. He eyeballed his mate for a moment before he huffed with his confirmation of this decision. Kroc would do well holding down the fort. This errand shouldn't take forever.

The white wolf summarized it all. Kero nodded before he moved to bend over the tawny female. Taking her scruff between his teeth, Kerosene lowered himself and awkwardly shifted to take her weight upon his back. He'd carry the girl. In this one circumstance only... he was thankful the plains were not so far.

RE: Nobody Like You - Tonravik - June 10, 2015

Tonravik frowned as he moved to pick her up. She'd much rather drag her by ass and scruff together, so the wild earth could have its way with the wretch, too, and so they could dig their fangs in once more. Even if for a civil reason.

If the flame flickered any, that was how they would finish their taking her home.
