everlast - Ivitaruk - June 11, 2015 AW but, summoning @Kroc if you have time, bebe.
Tonravik’s howl echoed across the Spine, and without hesitance, the crimson wolf prowled forward, his nose to the ground as he made to track down Kroc and her whereabouts. Having been named regal in their absence, it would seem she likely knew what had happened above all others. His creamy paws thrummed against the loose ground of the mountain, and weaving along the foliage, Ivitaruk’s own clipped cry lifted to the heavens, requesting the presence of their newly claimed Beta, if she was in the vicinity. He was uncertain of what her reaction would be, as fiery as she was, and in turn, Ivitaruk almost looked forward to it. RE: everlast - Nanuk - June 11, 2015 <3 no problem! Thanks for the tag!
From one howl to the next, the Beta moved. The forest was left in her wake as she traveled back the short distance to the Spine to answer the call. The responsibility of leadership would settle fast on her shoulders; the tank was proud to support her alphas in such a way. Though the female did not believe in Fate, she knew that this was where she was meant to be. It felt good after having left Siku's side all that time ago. She found him shortly, his fiery pelt catching her eye on the horizon. "Ivitaruk." For whatever reason, his name had surprisingly stuck in her mind, something that didn't always occur. With the lack of time that had passed between Tonravik's brief announcement and his summons of her, she had an idea of the reason. "They went to drag the Plains brat back to her Alpha. The dumbass was on the verge of trespassing again." Not to mention the other cur from the Plains that had trespassed only the day before. This "Alpha" needed to get his shit in order, in her opinion. RE: everlast - Ivitaruk - June 11, 2015 Kroc came to him – her proud ivory form a stark contrast to the earthy tones of the mountain they laid claim to. Ivitaruk lowered himself in proper respect to his Beta, his brown eyes flashing as she greeted him by name – he had been uncertain that she had even known it. Ears cupped forward as she explained, and a snort of approval escaped him. He wondered what she meant when stating they were dragging her back – was she alive, or were the Alphas of the Spine presenting the body of the foolish girl who could not seem to learn a lesson? Tonravik held little mercy for the stupid.. but with her mate at her side now, she might have softened for the time being. No, Ivitaruk was still uncertain how he felt about her new mate.. and what it would mean for the rise of Tartok in Teekon Wilds. “Is the girl alive?” They should have delivered nothing but her tail – a promise to the plains wolves who thought to continue down her path and on to their doorstep. RE: everlast - Nanuk - June 11, 2015 Her tail flicked behind her in agitation at his question, not at him but at the fact that this was the bitch's fourth run in with the Spine. "Unfortunately. They are making a statement to the leader to put a halt to this idiocy. Another of them trespassed yesterday." Said statement would likely be pointed and filled with promises of violence if it happened again. But this would be a better option than her own of throwing the girl off a cliff. "He better skin her alive or the next time I see her, I will." RE: everlast - Ivitaruk - June 11, 2015 Ivitaruk was surprised by her response, and paused for a moment to process this. A better statement, he believed, would have been to rip the girls tail form her body and deliver it with a message that this was what would happen to any trespasser – perhaps, he mused quietly, this was good reason that he had held back from attempting to stake claim upon the Tartok woman.. he did not know her as well as he had originally determined. “She would deserve it,” he rumbled darkly, his tail giving its own agitated flick. He had only witnessed Tonravik bite the nose off her very own omega for something lesser than what this girl had brought upon their pack – and somehow, she had been spared to bring forward a message? It did not bode well with the crimson wolf, and he felt a frown etch its way upon his masked features. RE: everlast - Nanuk - June 11, 2015 "Of fuckin' course she would," Was her natural, unhindered response. "But with the Spine's first brats on the way, the damned trespassing needs to stop. We kill her and the bastards might become more of a fuckin' nuisance." Needless to say, they didn't need that. While the Tartok wolves were almost always battle ready, going to war over a piece of shit like the Plains bitch(es) was senseless and an endangerment to the future of the pack. She switched their topic of conversation. "In the meantime, we need to all be on high alert. They may lash out, they may not. We'll be ready either way." With the unknown female she and Tonravik had dominated the other day and the two Plains wolves that had crossed them, wolves were getting brave with the Spine and their boundaries. "Attempt to kill any who come near. We take no chances in their absence." RE: everlast - Ivitaruk - June 15, 2015 One ear would flicker at her words, but Ivitaruk was wise enough to withhold his disagreement. He would not pressure Tonravik’s right hand, and he instead gave a nod, allowing the subject to descend to what their next move was. He was amicable enough to her next statement – any who dared cross their borders would be dead for trying.. despite the fact it was hard to take such words seriously when a foolish wolf had been allowed to do it thrice over and still live. “Spar?” There was a pause then, as the crimson wolf rolled his shoulders back. “I need to let some energy loose,” he muttered then, feeling his paws shift upon the ground, his brown eyes drifting past his companion and to the direction of the borders. Surely the foolish wolf’s pack would not be so brazen to attempt anything now. RE: everlast - Nanuk - June 15, 2015 Spar thread: http://wolf-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=9774 rolling the 1d8 :)
With no further talk about the subject, the Beta let it drop. While she too wanted the girl to die, there was a method to Tonravik's ways and she would let things play out before making any judgements. Her ears flickered, gold eyes falling on the reddened male as he offered a spar. Immediately, her posture shifted as she gave a slight nod. They could make this quick and then get back to protecting the lands as well as they always had. She did not give him a chance to prepare, charging forward to use her weight against her opponent and ground him. There would be no blood spilled in this; they all needed to be at their best with the Alpha pair temporarily absent. RE: everlast - Ivitaruk - June 17, 2015 There was no hesitance in her step – not that he had truly expected one, but her large form did not give time to fully pivot her, and in turn, she slammed in to him, causing him to stumble back, despite his attempt to move out of her way. A low growl escaped him then, his own jaws seeking to glance at her shoulder, but it was not something that would work. Ears flattening to his skull, Ivitaruk stole a moment to prepare himself then, his paws edging further apart for premium balance. RE: everlast - Nanuk - June 18, 2015 Kroc had never been a patient creature, in anything, fights included. Such an approach served her well, taking him off guard enough to cause him to lose his sure footing. His teeth snipped at her fur, a growl rumbling out of her throat. Moving again, the warden aimed to crack her skull against his, in hopes to disorient and, were it a true battle, disable him. As it was, she didn't gun for such an attack quite so hard. He was a comrade, after all. Their spar was quick and simple and true to form, there was no blood shed. In the end, the tank pinned him. With some excess energy burned away, the two went about their ways, Kroc once more returning to her ever vigilant patrols. Thread end |
