carnivore - Tezcacoatl - June 24, 2015 It felt good to get out and stretch his legs, so to speak. It wasn't as if after becoming King of Frostfire Ridge that Tezcacoatl had taken to being lazy because it was the exact opposite. He had never trained harder. As a perfectionist he strove to always better himself and this showed in the way he pushed himself, but it was also to prove that he was worthy to lead; and not just in the diplomatic sense. He had always intended to forego the “second alpha during times of war” thing, seeing no sense in it. If he was to have a woman beside him she would have to earn it and his trust would have to be well placed; as of currently there was only one woman he dared to trust enough to such thing — not that he was in any hurry to fill the rank beside him. It was meant for his queen, his wife ...if ever such a thing happened to him (as to which he was on neutral grounds with, neither optimistic or pessimistic). Tezcacoatl knew Xiuhcoat was planning to sabotage his careful months of planning, to tear down his kingdom from the inside out. Knowing that she intended him ill made him feel slightly better: he assumed that it meant that the surprise was gone, that he would be prepared, or maybe he was wrong. He would cross that bridge when he arrived at it, if it came to be. Tezcacoatl had stepped out of the Ridge's territory earlier in the morning, following the snaking Qeya River as he casually tracked a herd of deer on their grazing path. When they stopped for the afternoon, Tezcacoatl lingered for a while, watching them before he moved on. He hadn't had any intentions of hunting (besides it would take more than himself) simply taking mental note of their favored grazing grounds where the clovers seemed to inhabit the most. He knew that he should have been heading back to Frostfire soon, but he lingered along the river's path, enjoying the momentary peace from constantly watching his back. RE: carnivore - Skyshire - July 24, 2015 Did she have to be constantly on the run? Skyshire's once white coat was covered in mud, her wound on her hind leg had opened up again and was making her limp, her heel covered in dry blood. At least the river looked much cleaner up here. She had taken her leave of a strange male just a couple days ago down south. His unpredictable mood swings had put her on edge, being the first wolf she had encountered in these new lands, things were not looking up. Her cracked pads were bleeding again, she'd have to find some pine bark and mint and a place to just REST finally. Stars, if she could just find a hole to sleep in for a few days. She was skinny, hungry, and over heated. Thankful for the river beside her to at least quench her thirst is this ridiculous summer heat. Through blurry heterochromatic eye she saw an upright dark brown smudge. Oh stars, please its not another weirdo. She paused trying to clear her vision and get a better look. She was too far away to get a scent from him, or she was just downwind of him and he probably already scented her. Always on the cautious side she didn;t know whether she should continue to approach or try to find another way around the stranger. She didn't want to lose sight of the river. They were in her way on her trek to find shelter. Might as well continue and if they seemed friendly maybe she could rest a bit with some nice company. If they didn't say anything she'd just continue on as if she didn't notice them. ((Hope you don't mind, I stole your height/weight/Length idea and applied it to her profile )) |
