It had been long, so long since she had been here. in her wandering, cresting a mountain range and into the Great Bear, she had never expected to get this close. yet exhaustion dogged her footsteps, and a dancing unease her mind, and when she realized how close she was to the place she had fled from months ago did she abruptly turn, and head back the way that she had come. she had meant to travel farther north,  yet she truly was not the best navigator, she found.

darkness fell quickly now, her pale pelt a beacon, and unease growing for some odd reason. her silver eyes glinted in the darkness, thick and heavy as it lay across the land. it would n be wise to linger in the land of the brotherhood, as she thought of the entire flatland. their range out to extend far, and after ousting Burke...the thought of what they might of become, no matter how much she wished it not to, in the slightest bit unerved her.

She had begun to hunt, before the flicker of white danced across the corner of her eyes. At first, it was a common passerby of absolutly zero care on her mind, however, the itching feeling at the back of her head demanded she follow the other with piercing eyes further, and as she did, it clicked. Little did she have to do to connect the dots within her mind, the triggering scent of Burke and Malice among the fur of the stranger as she crept silently behind. The Silencer's fury went from 1 to 100 in 0.00000006 seconds. A snarl rippled through the silence of the forest as her hackles raised, every ridge along her back exposed as her entire being tensed; shuddering with the rage of a thousand curses. It seemed so long since Malice and Burke had even danced across her mind but yet the scent, the trigger, the burning itch left unsedated, brought back everything she had sated beneath all the other things she had since diverted her attention to. Narrowed eyes burned into the silver form of the traitor, and as it foolishly stopped it's course so near to the dark wood, the woman did not need to think twice before making her presence known.

“I remember you,” The dark wraith slauntered through the undergrowth, parting the shadows in which she lived. Her voice was but a nightmare in a melody, as seething as it was serene. Nemesis would take her time with this one, impulse would get her nowhere in the presence of her fate. Within her mind, the plans of a reckoning was formulated in that very moment; the day when she would finally bring to justice the crimes against Meldresi's legacy inflicted by Burke and his failed reign. “You came unto our lands and left with them,” It did not need to be told who and what the woman spoke of, the violent tone behind her words were indication enough of the hate she still harbored for them and their kin. The obsession, however unhealthy, was the fire in which fueled every footstep she took, balancing on sheer rancor for the female's existence but also the utmost desire to see her brought down; it was for that very fact that Aeronwyn was not on the ground by then.

Seconds of dead silence passed before her fire lit words met the wind once more. “So tell me, where have they run to?” Her inquiry of words was much a question as it was a threat. The dark woman would leave no chance to let the one opportunity of her returning the heads of Malice and Burke to the dark woods, simply wander away. No, this was her gift, her reward for returning Althaia to Mephala’s lands. She would do the same to Burke, Malice, and their bastard children and all those that lived in their rule.

Well shit.

the shadows parted around her as if it were water, her eyes glinting with twisted hatred. Her voice was a dark melody, so many things at once, perhaps the embodiment of a nightmare. she breathed a quick breath, allowing no emotion to show on her face. she could not show weakness, for weakened before the Silence of Blackfeather was the equilivent of death.

She was silent, not utter a sound but facing the Silencer fully, stance ungiving. "Not far." She drawled, at odds with the instinct that bade her to run, and run now. "Burke was the first to go...his heart simply couldn't keep up." She said in an almost bored tone. Her gaze was still cold, yet she found it much more of a challenge to keep up the mask in the face of Nemesis. "One of the boys went next...too small." She said, same bored tone delivering the words. She could not simply claimed they ahead all died, this she knew, for Nemesis would merely see through her words.

"But, you see, I've grown rather fond of Malice. So I'm afraid you won't be learning of her." She told the woman, words hard and gaze lifted in smug challenge. She found lies were best delivered with a grain of truth, and thus she did so. Though it dawned on her that challenging the Silencer might not be the best idea, the chance of this encounter going any other way was slim.

The white woman spoke with suave, a trying attempt to conceal the fright beneath the surface. In the eyes of Blackfeather law, Aeronwyn was a traitor, and the family she served, and enemy. Therefore, duty called to draw blood from the woman, regardless of her lack of care for a woman who had come under their dark wings for a meagre two weeks. What she wanted was information, any stipulation that Malice and the old man still lived for her to be their end. But her words were met with sarcasm, defiance, as if her command was not serious enough. Aeronwyn could grow fond of Malice all she wanted, the white woman would not be leaving without injury, or without giving Nemesis the smallest clue to what she desired to know. Each sound the other made was the equivalent of nails across a chalkboard to her, but she simply smiled, knowing that the other was fruitfully unaware of the idiocy she was displaying. But the latter of words was the last straw, and the time called for blood to be won and lost; Nemesis would not be leaving without it.

“Oh, won't I?” She pouted all to briefly before havoc was ensued. She did not care where Burke and Malice resided at that moment in time nor the lies the other spoke of their state, but she did care that a message of her unrelenting and unforgiving hostility be relayed back to wherever they sought refuge. They would never be safe, no matter where they tried to flee, no matter where they attempted to hide. She lunged, and she gave no mercy, laying upon the pale female what was months of anger and years of regret. Betrayal was a nasty thing, but Nemesis' vengeance knew no bounds. In the end, a mere toe was left over in evidence of Aeronwyn's return, leaving a blood trail she would surely follow as long as she could in her state. The other had done some damage too, however, had given her the greatest clue of them all and the biggest mistake Burke's confident could have given. Their family was broken. Whether the news of Burke and his bastard son's death was verified or not, it was clear that their family had not recovered from their captivity in Blackfeather Woods; they were either far too desperate to keep themselves hidden or the white woman had not lied, and Malice was alone in the world. Either way, her spark was renewed. Her hate would not be abated, and her thirst for the blood of the family on her tongue for all they had cost her was restored. Aeronwyn could return to their home, assuring the Rochester clan that their family was all well and safe, but with a woman like Nemesis on their back, they were not or would ever be safe again. Who would?
