All Welcome
Ref. tags :)

The sun was high and the breeze was slow. It was the perfect morning for a patrol, but Queenie was too busy begrudgingly nursing @Mali, @Brilliance, and @Solomon. Despite all of her efforts to wean them early, the pups just wouldn't budge, so she figured a compromise was their best option; she would nurse them twice in the morning, twice in the evening, but during the afternoon, their milk supply was properly cut off.

It wasn't even so much that Queenie disliked nursing; what she did dislike was having to give up her life to do it. @Delight was almost always near the den in case one of the four needed something, but today, all that Queenie needed was a friend.
Hiya!
Please take the time to read through this post.
Happy roleplaying!

having never been the loudest or most active of her siblings, it is easy enough to overlook the ways in which she is struggling, her tiny body staying small, tired. after the meat incident solomon regards mama with anxiety, an unfortunate association given she is dependent upon her for sustenance. she drinks -- instinct -- but whines, shies away, afraid of teeth, and when she finishes drinking, she curls up and goes to sleep, a small ghost of a child, withering.

Unlike his sister, Mali was content to just forget what happened.  Every opportunity that Queenie gave them to nurse, he'd be all over it, slowly stuffing himself to the brim before stopping and just sitting there, waiting until he felt like he could have another gulp.  His method of getting all he could?  Keep topping up the tank, and the longer it lasted, the more drowzy and kind of ill he felt.  Oof.   It still wasn't enough to keep up with his growing body, and so though he should by all means be a giant fat pup if he kept nursing this way and their mother didn't ditch them for a big chunk of the day, he wasn't.
