After Wraen had made sure that @Deku was settled in and had had some food in his empty belly, she left him to rest and went to seek out @Colt and - hopefully - the rest of the adult crew (she did not have high hopes regarding @Niamh , but @Finley and @Elwood would understand, wouldn't they?) to aid her in a difficult conversation. Why did fate challenge her with yet another tough decision, she did not understand. Her heart was with the little panda-puppy, her rational mind told her that this was only a temporary solution to the situation. As much as she wished to tell the boy that he could stay as long as he wanted, there was the harsh reality of cold months coming, scarcity of food and not enough for everyone.

And she felt that Colt would be on the same page with her in both regards. She could not imagine him to turn away a kid in need and at the same time his own offspring were a priority, even if it meant someone else being sent off to an uncertain fate. "Hey," she greeted the man, once she had found him. "I caught a little visitor on the borders. A cub and from the looks of him he has been lost for quite a while. Hungry and weak," she painted the situation so as to warm the older man's heart just a bit. "He is staying at my den for the time being - I thought you should know," she said.

Colt was attempting to hold together some semblance of his duties, but for the first time in his life, he felt old.  He wasn't moving well or feeling well, but the more his body pushed, the more he pushed back.

Wraen wanted to speak with him, and he greeted her with the usual smile.  One that faded a bit, however, as she went on.  She'd found a kid, apparently, and invited him in.  Did he say where he was from? he asked, feeling a twinge of mixed sympathy and dread.

Perhaps he was from nearby and could simply be returned there, easy as that.  But he sensed that wasn't the case, and if it wasn't, this was about to be a bit more complicated a conversation than he felt ready to have right now.

"No, not really," Wraen shook her head. "He did know his mother's name - Minori. And apparently there is a brother somewhere as well - Orochi," she shared the details the little boy had told her and a small, selfish part of her hoped that Colt did not know these people either. And that against all odds and difficult practicalities, the little song-bird would stay with them for a long time if not forever.

This was not meant to be though and in few days the boy's mother would come, calling for her lost boy. For now, however... "My best guess is that either he is part of a group of wandering loners that happened to pass through here or, perhaps, Shadewood keep. I don't believe that he could have wandered and been still in a fairly good shape from anywhere else," she told him.

The exchange of information continued a while longer and then Wraen left to tend for the findling.
