He rolled over. Righting himself with a scowl. "Not worth it. I taste like shit." He stood, shaking the thin veil of dust out of his pelt. She turned, barking and order and a funny word that fell strangely upon his ears. This was the second wolf from the spine to give him a nickname and this was the second time he'd accept it. Whatever the hell it meant. On the plus side, he at least knew her name. He mentally repeated it, taking note the syllables and deciding it was far too long.

"Thanks for the introduction, Toni. Apparently I'm Iqniq." The word sounded weird on his tongue. Hell, he probably butchered it. Whatever, he'd figure it out eventually.
