The vale was gone. The wolves that occupied the rich green landscape had vanished. His old pack dwindled down to just a few members. Ayvo abandoned ship, there was no hope for the vale. Maybe at one point in his life the lanky male would have been saddened by the fact a pack that he worked to build up his rank in vanished like smoke. He was on his way to becoming the Beta, something the ambitious wolf strived for. He didn't want to be leader, that would come with responsibility the young wolf wasn't ready to take. He wanted to advise, and fight, and eventually die in a noble way for his pack-his alpha. Raheerah and Xi were good wolves. The male was strong and the female was stronger. Ayvo never felt a connection to those wolves like he felt he should. He couldn't thank the pair enough, Xi put him back on track. He trained daily in the vale, chasing the wildlife to gain endurance and speed. He perfected his fighting style with the help of Xi and her spars. He loved the vale, but it was time to move on.

The scents of wolves filled the youthful wolf's nose. They danced around him doing simple twirls along his muzzle. The air was fresh here, new. Walking along the tree line the male stopped and stared at nothing in particular. The shadows of the trees covered his light pelt, but his thoughts were the only thing he payed attention to. He wanted another pack but first he would have to find one.
