"I suppose we could try and see what we could scare up," Mordecai answered with a bob of his head. Things were hardly back to normal, but that didn't mean they wouldn't have been able to find something. There were the streams, rodents; surely something that would have made for a dinner however meager. But at least it seemed the worst of the famine was coming to pass. So long as the herds returned, they would manage.

Until then, it seemed it would be a waiting game.
