Grayday had been looking for Kieran, wanting to check in with the boy. They'd noticed his father's absence not too long ago, and Day knew that he was probably taking it pretty hard. There was no way he wasn't deeply hurt by the disappearance, especially Day was pretty sure his sister had gone missing in a similar fashion.
He caught the boy's scent soon enough, and set about following it at once. He preferred to seek out his packmates rather than call for them, not wanting to interrupt their activities or burden them with the task of finding and approaching him when he was the one wanting to talk. He trotted briskly along the boy's path, only to slow down as a familiar scent hit his nose. It was true that father and son looked very similar, but their scents had always been unique to the male - until now, when he was suddenly thinking he could smell Sylvas instead of Kieran.
"Kieran?" he called, beginning to get a funny feeling. He hurried along, catching sight of the dark smudge of the boy on the horizon - only to have it split into two as he got closer. "Sylvas!" he barked, tail wagging as he bounded forward, heart soaring at the sight of the familiar wolf.
