The male watched awkwardly as the girl struggled heavily with the muddy, slippery terrain. He flinched at the sudden slap as her flank fell into the thick mud. When the charade ended, he hesitated to respond. ”Do you...need any help, then? I can show you a place to clean off.” There was just no world where the male could pretend what just happened, hadn’t happened.
He glanced down at his own paws, seeing the extreme lack of dirt versus her own. It only dawned on him then how little trouble, besides his disabled leg, that he had in the winter terrain. All perks of growing up in the Great North, he supposed.
