Ajei had taken to standing at the topmost ledge she could and looking down over as much of Moonglow as she could. She was able to see more borders that way. She was holding out, hoping to see one of the boys return. She missed them, she wanted their voices to her ears and their bodies in the home. It was hard to watch them go out and worry and wait, being left behind, but they had needed to do this. She knew.

It was a furred pelt of shadows and light that had come first and though she knew he would need to see his family first. She did not hold this right. She lifted her voice in song, letting him know she had seen him, and she would seek him out eventually.

Her song delicate and trilling as she often spoke. So there would be no surprise that he would know it was her. Then with a new spring to her step, she descended and went for her mother. Pleased that Arrluk had returned.
