Cole pulled his head back, avoiding the full brunt of Ancelin's snapping teeth as their muzzles clashed. The sharp bite grazed his neck, enough to sting and leave a mark. He didn’t allow the pain to linger in his mind, letting instinct take the lead. His broad shoulders lowered, and he surged forward, aiming to use his weight as a battering ram to throw Ancelin off balance.

As he pressed in close, his jaws darted for Ancelin’s foreleg, a calculated move meant to slow his opponent without inflicting true harm. Cole didn’t seek to win through brute strength alone—though it was his greatest weapon—but rather to test Ancelin’s endurance and adaptability.
