Sun Mote Copse and my whole earth shook

She coquetteishly bats his words back at him. One side of Vermouth’s mouth twitches upward. He says nothing as she explains that a friend will join her soon, then asks about the copse. He glances around and considers just telling her the truth, though he feels a sense of mischief stirring through him when she says she’s considering claiming the copse.

“Yes, I’m very familiar with it, seeing as I live here,” he says in a bemused way, waiting to see what reaction this evokes.
