Thalassa was gone. Other's were panicking and yet Haedwig, completely calm, had continued on as normal. She knew that the new queen would come back. Thalassa was a lot of things, but she was not selfish. They all understood that should she truly disappear, Europia was far from ready to take the place of her sister.
And with her peace of mine, the witch continued on completing her duties. Thalassa had asked her to speak to other packs, and she saw no reason to waste time. It would be done by the time the queen returned. There was no sense in running across the whole damn wilds - so for the time being she would visit the few packs she had scented upon her entry.
She just wished it wasn't so damn far.
Sitting beneath the cover of trees, she took time to catch her breath. She really was getting to old for these damn expeditions.
