Stars littered the sky overhead and beneath the great stretching boughs of the trees was the shape and form of a slender, foxlike thief. He was sprawled out so that he might gaze upon the skies and pinpoint where the stars began and ended on the map of the heavens. Tadec could only imagine how well Indra would like the forest that he had come to fall in love with. Surely, she would see it and think it a beautiful creation on their earth.
 
Again, fear pricked at the back of his mind. For, Tadec longed to make a home there for a family – a family with her – but he knew that she would not be likely to leave her sister behind. The realization was settling in the pit of his gut that the beautiful child of Frith would possibly allow him to leave her. The coywolf did not wish to dwell on this thought. He was ever the optimist for Indra, and he knew that there was a chance that she would wish to follow him into the shade of the trees. That their children would chase the fireflies that bobbed between each trunk, and Tadec could sing them songs as the stars glittered overhead.
