Haunted Wood a certain kind of light

A voice struck out against the silence. The crow felt his coat bristle slightly as he moved to place himself in a position that did not risk his wellbeing. While the stranger had not spoken in a hostile manner, it had pulled the dark coywolf from his vivid daydreaming and planted him firmly back in the center of the real world. Having found his footing, his eyes sought the other being with a burning intensity. For a moment, he regarded the wolf with concern, unsure if he would be welcome. Not all of the wolf kind was keen on accepting the body of a halfling. The other male did appear as though he was a relaxed figure; confident in his youth.
 
“Tadec is fond of the stars. One day we will hunt there,” the crow remarked with a small bob of his narrow muzzle. Then, his eyes trailed the frame of the other wolf and realized what a great disadvantage he would find himself at, if the wolf found their meeting unsatisfactory. Tadec was pleased he had the length of his limbs and the narrow shape of his build. “Does the silver wolf dwell here?”
