Cedar Sweep pass the wasabi

Tegan's reaction does not at all make him feel better about the situation. Naturally, it lines up with the history he has been given. . .but, still, it is jarring. Things move rather quickly after the revelation, with the elder boy sending the girl to scout north; he will take a more direct path. Llewellyn shakes his head as Tegan apologizes, understanding. But--

"I will go with you," he responds, his tone firm. "Ceara and I have spoken much about Blackfeather; if they are continuing to take captives, they are a threat. I will not live with that threat right under my nose." He does not know whether Tegan intends to snuff out this threat, or merely inquire at the borders. Nevertheless, he will go. He cares not whether he has to dive into the belly of the beast to drag Ceara out, if that is what it takes.

"It will be good to have backup," Llewellyn reasons, giving Tegan the faintest of smiles.
