Derg smiled softly, genuinely. He seemed to do it more often. He cared for Ronnie, in this moment at least. He rested his chin atop his neck, pressing himself close to the man. He felt warm, warm inside like he was full of a thick liquid of happiness. If there were such a thing. 

"I'm glad," he murmured, his tail stirring softly, "I too feel better."  He swallowed. "Thank you." He felt Ronnie deserved it, he made him relax. Forget Keen. Trust she'd be well whilst he is away on his trip. His fur felt soft against his muzzle. 
He'd never been intimate with another wolf before -- not like this. He was glad to spend time like this at least once, in case he did indeed find the Monster tomorrow.
