This looked lonely!

With the care of Oryx and her own knowledge of healing made her wounds start to seal up and scar over. She had battled the worst of the infections, though they felt like little harm since the mental strain of losing so much all at once felt more painful. The girl was still not on good terms with her mother, whom she tried to avoid, which also meant avoiding her the latest additions to the pack. It would remind her too much of what she lost anyway.

Arlette had just crossed the border, visiting the place she buried Kaito. She was glad that she didn't bury him at the stones. This was far more private. As she walked into the territory her eye was caught by a reddish male, sleeping on a rock. She thought she heard her mother howl to announce a new member. At least he looked relaxed. Perhaps he was a weary traveler and she shouldn't disturb him. She also realized that she was not the prettiest wolf to wake up to, so she decided to turn away.
