All Welcome
Moonspear founding howl! all participating founding MSP members will receive 10 EXP for participating in the claiming howl. :) It will be a one-round thread.
Rain + Nishu + Amekaze: I figured this is best set after Nishu and Ame find Rain and bring her here, so you can all participate in the howl.

@Amekaze @Thistle Cloud @Atreyu @Floki @Dash @Jace @Rain @Nishu Inte @Aran @Lex @Jura @Wildfire @Catori @Izo
(I know the last couple haven't actually pledged joining IC yet, but invitations have or will be extended IC in previous threads, so I decided to tag you in case you wanted to pop in and be a founding member — no obligations to join if you're not interested! :) )

Moonspear was becoming more and more like home, and Charon and Amekaze had already made up their mind. The past weeks Charon had begun claiming the borders; wetting them, rolling around and rubbing past trees to spread his scent. Dawn began to fall over the Teekon Wilds and Charon stood halfway up Moonspear, on one of the plateaus that overlooked the Wilds, and he felt at home, at peace. He knew it was time to solidify his and Amekaze's claim once and for all, to challenge all who would dare oppose this claim.

From as deep as he could summon, the freckled yearling and Alpha of Moonspear called forth a howl to inform everyone that this place was now his and Ame's; inviting all wolves who were loyal to him and Ame to join their voices into his song, and let their voices ring through all of Moonspear. This was now their home, and the beginning of a good winter.

Dash had done what Dash did best- wandered away from the mountain that he would soon call home. He hadn't been able to help himself. He got bored and he needed to roam to work off some of that restless energy. But, after a few days, he had returned, and none too soon for the claiming howl. Charon's strong voice blanketed the mountain, staking the claim, warning others that if they were to come on the mountain now, seriously punishments would be dished out.

Dash tilted his head back, joining Charon's howl, and for the first time in his life, laid claim with a pack, announcing he was one of them, loyal to them, and would protect this mountain to all degrees. It was a very important moment for him, and he knew his life had just changed. He was no longer responsible for just himself- now he had others to protect. It was a responsibility he had never had, and he hoped he wouldn't screw it up.
Feel free to tag Dash as needed. Unless otherwise asked, all threads are AW.

He had joined in on the marking of the borders the past few weeks, if not a little begrudgingly. Already, Atreyu yearned for the sea again, making his way halfway up the mountain to a small nook that overlooked the ocean in a parting between the forests beyond. It was here he lay for the moment, taking in the view as he settled into a comfortable position. Even if he didn't want to admit it — for the shoreside would always be his home — he couldn't help but wonder if the mountain was growing on him. It would take time to adjust, of course; traversing it was already proving a challenge on his three legs. The deal was done, however, and Charon and Amekaze were set on claiming this land, so Atreyu followed along faithfully.

And the views were quite pretty, he guessed.

Suddenly, the howl went up, earlier than he had expected. Charon's voice echoed through the trails and rang out across the mountainside, and Atreyu turned his head to where it came from, feeling a shiver run down his spine. This was it. Officially, they had left the Bay (and, for Ame's wolves, their mountain) for good and were laying claim to Moonspear. He hesitated a moment as another joined, before throwing back his head and lending his own voice to the song that the newly formed pack now wove.

Floki had been waiting anxiously for Charon and Amekaze to make their claim official. The wolves had been living on the mountain for days now, working hard to mark the borders and become acquainted with every nook and cranny. He knew that the minute the howl sounded, Charon's plan would be complete. Stavanger Bay and the Sunspire would be no more; instead, they would become one on Moonspear, and they would be stronger for it.

He was exploring the lower reaches when he heard it. Without hesitation, he threw his head back and added his voice to the celebratory song. Floki was only three months away from joining the adult ranks, and looked and sounded the part. His voice had dropped in pitch and his ability to howl was stronger. He was well on his way to becoming an outrider, and soon after that he had plans to become a warrior. Although he was still technically a youth, he considered himself a full-fledged member of the pack.

The sound gained intensity as other wolves responded from around Moonspear. Floki found himself wondering about Wildfire, and whether she would join their ranks someday. His stomach flip-flopped at the thought, and when he stopped howling he was smiling.

It had taken a bit of hum-hawing on his part; had he done the right thing? What if Eamon found him and wanted to go back? Would this cause an even greater rift to form between his family, Ithie, and himself? H wasn't even sure he would make a good fit for them; he was young and inexperienced. Sure, his grandfather had taught him a lot, but applying it to an actual situation was the greatest test and he hadn't been able to do that thus far. He didn't want to be a burden, so these thoughts made him restless.

Soon the fingers of dawn began to lick at the horizon, coloring the sky a brilliant turquoise. Jura lifted his head and watched the light grow from his warm bed beneath a pine. Suddenly, a howl pierced the skies, followed quickly by a chorus of voices. A surge of anxiety raced through him and he rolled to his feet, ears slanted back towards the source of Charon's song. He hesitated for a moment, only to add his voice to the claiming howl with his low, sonorous tones.

He made his choice.

Things were falling into place, piece by piece.  Not necessarily for him but for Moonspear.  More and more worlves were on the mountain between the two packs.  He didn’t run into them but he could smell them.  They were here and they were ready.

Ready for home.

Lex felt a chill roll down his spine in crashing waves as he first hear Charon sing his melody, followed by an uplifting courses of his pack mates and himself.  His nose upward, curled lips, as he bellowed his declaration of Moonspear, never weakened.  He sang as long as he could, until all the air in his chest were nothing but a croak and happy rumble.  To be heard with the others, to be theirs, and them to be his.

Home.

While the histories would remain so long as the dark-furred Rikudou lived, and perhaps even beyond, the Sunspire was officially no more. All the effort, love, and struggles alike she had helped pour into it from the very start to finish came to an end.. and while there was just a touch of sadness at the notion, the overwhelming brightness of what was ahead of her made it so much easier to bare. She was content with her choice, knowing deep in her bones that it was the right one for herself, and how it had come to play out in the weeks following the start of it all could not have been better.

So she rose her voice alongside Charon, perhaps prouder and far more full of force than it had been in a long time. The message was crystal clear now -- this peak was the home they would defend and prosper upon. Soon after, others joined them to affirm their strength.

Thistle Cloud looked out at the mountain. It was pretty here she supposed. It was not ugly, though she missed the sea. She stood staring off into space, behind her the freshly dug patch of land that now housed her herbs and poultices and all of that. She rather enjoyed the cool air and moist dirt that the mountain boasted. She may actually be able to grow her own herbs. She had found quite by accident once that when a seed landed in the dirt and was wet it grew. So she thought perhaps she could try it here, once spring came.

She heard the howl and though she was still not thrilled about the move. She lifted her nose to the sky and howled in return. Then with a snort she turned around and lay to the ground with a loud plop. HEr head on her paws she looked out over the land below.

Jace moved about the mountain learning his surroundings and the smells of those that now belonged here. He wasn't going to lie. The new bodies that bolstered the pack, made him feel much better about his pack. He was no longer beta, but he was happy to be here none the less. He lifted his muzzle to the sky and joined in the howl. He wasn't sure if he could follow Charon, he was young and rash, but his own leader was still a leader and that was all that mattered.
I am more easily attainable for threads now. But please do bear in mind that I have three children under the age of five at home. And they do take up a lot of my time.

Stubbornness and her loyalty to the Sunspire caused Rain to be reluctant to join in the howl claiming this new pack. She had only just recently learned of Amekaze's decision to merge packs since Rain had been away for quite some time. She had barely any time to adjust to the new idea and she didn't like it one bit. The only good portion was that the merging pack was Stravenger Bay where Thistle Cloud resided. She had helped Rain with a few healing pointers and now Thistle Cloud could help her even more so.

But she was loyal to Amekaze and so tilting her head to the sky from her resting place, Rain added her light howl to the new pack. She would have to consult with Nishu to see what his thoughts were about this joining.

It's easy to say that all Nishu was doing was just tagging along. He got his rest which allowed him to have an easier time to think things through. What should he really be doing though? He didn't have a place to call home since he can't go back to where he was from. Being on his own was certainly not what he wanted but he wanted time for himself.

The claim was sounded and others were joining. Once he heard Rain's tone among them he joined as well.

Mark. Spirit. Moon. Spirit Pack. Old Pack. Fear. Power. Howlsounds. Howlsounding.

To translate:

Aran had lain low on the fringes of the Spirit`s land. Moon`s Peer, she had called the big hill.

He carefully padded through a clearing to the border, marking against a tree. His personalscent was firmly embedded into the Packscent, what with all the marking he`d been doing. It was probably time he visited the rest of the Pack, and face his fear.

They`d know nothing about him. Here, he wasn`t bad. Bad pup. Bad thing. Bad Aran Nathaniel. Here he was just Aran, which was good because "Aran Nathaniel" was his only phrase. Just "Aran" was manageable.

He snorted bitterly at the arrogant subordinates stood on ridges and outcrops of stone. He should have been like them 12 moons ago, a proud yearling starting to patrol the territory. But some healer insisted that the next pup to be born must bear the Pack`s sins, and all that badger dirt.

They were arrogant and cocky, so Aran was interested when they all bowed their heads and moved back from their posts...and a wolf padded out.

This wolf, this wolf radiated power.

Aran didn`t know most of these words, of course. He had phrases, basic words and some of his own invention, that tugged on his brain, pulling up memories in a string of five or six wordsAran immediately dubbed the wolf Power. The perfect tugword. Now he had met the Spirit and Power, both Alphas.

Young as this freckled little wolf was, his howlsound was pure Alpha. He sang of words beyond Aran`s literary capabilities, but he understood key tugwords like "claim", "Pack" and "together".

Many voices joined the howlsound, harmonising with Power`s deep voice in all ages, genders and ranks.

Aran`s fur tingled with shame as he realized something - he`d never learnt to howl. Such a thing was practically unheard of, as Aran knew the howlsound was an instinct, but as a pup he had been punished for any noise he made.

He would have to learn like a pup, then. Aran opened his mouth and added a... high-pitched yipping to the beautiful howlsound.

Mortified, he yapped along as long as he could bear before he slunk away in embarrassment.
