She could not say what had driven her to it, though she knew she had been here countless times; perhaps she craved some absolution, not from any individual but from the world itself. There was a foolishness to the gesture, she knew. It came with no expectancy of repayment, no plans to return. She would never truly know whether it had gone to waste, if it counted at all towards what she sought.
Nonetheless, her paws had taken her to the edges of the meadow as the sun started to set, flitting nervously forward until she felt it too bold to go any further. Two dead foxes dangled from her jaws, tails clutched between her teeth. She dropped them unceremoniously, and howled briefly for @Siarut.
Thoughts of children and that faint, sweet milk scent buzzed through her mind. She hesitated, perhaps for a few beats too long, then turned; she hoped to be gone by the time the northerner arrived. Time to find shelter for the night was running out, and soon she would have more pressing issues than her own inherent iniquity.

They were getting ready to leave, the day having passed swiftly with everything that had happened in the short twelve hours since they had first arrived. The visit was brief, not for pleasure, but necessity. They stay just long enough to recuperate before moving on. He was just about to pick up Tunerk when a low howl made it's way to Sia's ears. Lifting his head he recognized the song, and looked to back to his family, "Stay here. I know who it is, they won't hurt us."

Nuding Tunerk so that she would run back to her mother, Siarut turned toward the howl. With swift paws he traversed the meadow, the bear making quick work of the distance. He caught sight of the girl through the has of dusk, "Myrren!" He called before she could complete disappear.

The sound of his approach caught her ears before she could slip away; her ears flattened a beat, but she turned at the other's call. Siarut, She greeted softly, not moving towards him but allowing the approach. The foxes lay not far from her position, twined together in a macabre embrace. The wild-furred girl gestured once to them with her muzzle.
For your group, She told him, shifting on her paws and casting an anxious glance to the sky. The sun was setting. She was wasting time here. Journeying with children is difficult. I thought you might need it. Her gaze flitted between Siarut and the rapidly-departing sun, a growing tension surrounding her.

She seemed to hesitate, as if she had somewhere to be. She gestured to the foxes on the ground, and he offered her a soft smile. "Thank you." She seemed to have a kind heart and wondered how her prickly demeanor arose. "That was very thoughtful of you."

Siarut had an urge to offer her a home with them, this act was proved her to him as a valuable packmember. Her glance toward the sky gave him pause, before he could offer. "Are you alright?" Sia was genuinly curious, what had her so spooked.

Her skin prickled uncomfortably as he thanked her, gaze flitting to the ground. She'd never been described as thoughtful, and she mused the word choice. In a way, she supposed she was; full of thoughts, that is. The internal distraction calmed whatever agitation had arisen at Siarut's thanks, but nothing would help the crushing anxiety of the growing darkness.
I can't be out after dark, She offered, eyes returning to the stark male now. It was not untruthful. The fading light left them little time. She glanced past him, tone suggesting her reluctance to leave as she spoke next, I wish you and your group the best on your journey, Siarut. Perhaps we'll meet again. It was a half-hearted suggestion; she knew they would not. Still, she made no move to leave, only casting another glance at the slowly setting sun to gauge the time she had left.

He thought it curious that the female couldn't be out after dark, he had not originally scented another on Myrren's pelt and so assumed her to be a loner. Yet someone had dictated that she couldn't stay out past dark? It was very curious indeed. He had no wished to keep the girl, and he too glanced at the sky. He was so curious to know, but their was no time.

"Thanks again. Perhaps we will." He smiled again, with the flick of his head he spoke, "Go before the light has faded." If she finally turned, he would watch her go silently before dipping his head to pick up the foxes she had left. Returning to his family and offering Shivali first pick for her meal, as she was the one nursing.
