Had someone told the dark woman long ago that she would wind up right back where she started, she would have laughed and bit off the nose of the foolish being who said so.

And yet, here she stood as regal as ever in the same place she had once mulled over her choice to order her own sister's death sentence, where she had once contemplated killing her ex-husband, where she had truly accepted that her most beloved son was likely no longer alive. Only one of those things was a burden on her soul - and it was not the timely death of that dimwitted boy. Her only regret in life would forever be not ending the pale northerner as she should have, as she would like to have, had Bane not come when he had. But as it turned out, the scarred beast she now called her husband had truly been the best thing that had happened to her, for it was from him did she birth children she could actually say she was proud of, each more promisingly skilled than the last. Ah, how she loved them and the victories they brought her in her name. They had far outshined her last litter, all of which she knew nothing of the whereabouts of and frankly did not care for they had disappointed her in all areas she hoped they would succeed. However, the regent's purpose in re-entering the Teekon Wilds concerned an old frenemy of hers, the eldest son of the man she now bedded. It was interesting how fate had tied @Damien and her together in a truly odd way, acknowledging unanimously that they were the only beings capable of tearing each other down, yet, a force to be reckoned with when they stood together. Naturally, they had very rarely ever seen eye-to-eye and likely never would overcome their eternal power struggle, but word had travelled fast. What he was now allegedly apart of beckoned the interests of her family, her pack, and her own selfish desires. Whilst Bane remained in the far north to maintain the empire they had built, she returned to forge an alliance between the two distinct groups for the betterment of the Melonii clan and preservation of what they mutually held close -- the unspoken purpose they all knew was etched into the fabric of their souls.

Yet, there was no telling how Damien would receive her. As a friend or as a foe? They had been both at various times, and had left off unknowing where they stood. Perhaps he had fulfilled her wishes and bridged their bloodlines with Astrid, but perhaps she had revealed herself as much of a disappointment to him as she was to her. Often, Nemesis had tried to forget her eldest daughter existed. Releasing a summoning howl unto the open air, she beckoned for Damien's presence and his alone, seeking nought the attention of others.
