On the banks of the river, she managed to glean a morsel of the water's bounty - enough to fill her belly but not enough to satiate the femme.

Broad paws left a path in the mud, for the woman was not attempting to hide her passage through these lands. The mud squeezed between her toes, leaving her dove grey limbs spattered with soil up to the ankle as she travelled. Dirt didn't seem to bother the Titan, for her coat was disheveled and wild - tangled with debris that even the River had been unable to wash away fully.

The bitch caught a promising scent off the wind - that of deer nearby - and turned to investigate it. She followed the trail to the herd, watching from her concealed spot within the grass as the deer milled about, grazing on the golden grasses.

Grezig was patrolling, as usual. She’d found herself becoming less active than normal, which concerned her, and she hoped she was not becoming sick. Autumn was not the time for less activity. Winter was coming and the pack needed enough food to get through it. So, she shook herself out of her nap and forced herself to go on patrol today. She found herself at the river, and turned to stare up at the Plateau behind her. She wondered about Kavik and their somewhat awkward conversation a few days ago. She wondered when, if ever, they would speak to Liri about it.

Grezig caught a washed-out scent of wolf, only strong because the wolf in question was still here. She turned to face forward again and followed the river towards the scent until she came across a grey-furred female, crouching in the grasses. Deer up ahead. The Beta crouched also, but chuffed quietly to let the other know she was there.

She was unaware of the plateau or the pack that lived upon it - sharing it with this very herd of blacktail deer. She wasn't expecting company but when the cinnamon-colored she wolf approached, the scent on her strong with the smell of a nearby pack and the grasslands themselves, she dipped her head in acknowledgement.

"We could hunt together. I only ask that you give me a fair cut of me. I don't eat much." Her words were soft, to avoid startling the herd of grazing deer. If she could fill her belly, she wouldn't mind giving up the rest of the carcass to a pack.

The grey female requested that they hunt together, and that she get her fair share of meat if they did so. Grezig hesitated. This herd of deer technically belonged to the Plateau (as much as any animal could belong to any other animal, that is), but they were not on pack lands. Technically, anyone could hunt these deer, since they were grazing on neutral territory. Grezig gave a small grunt of assent. “Fine.” She opened her mouth to give orders, and then stopped, thinking. Their pack could still use more numbers, and perhaps this woman could be brought back with Grezig after this hunt. If she could prove she knew what she was doing, anyways. “How do you want to go about this?” she asked, giving the other a chance to shine.

But instead of saying anything, the female suddenly decided she didn't want to go hunting and left. Grezig snorted and watched in mild annoyance as the female disappeared, then she turned and headed back to the Plateau.
