All Welcome
تمہاری

the moon had grown brighter when he lost zooni, like it had taken the light from her soul. little wonder she had made the night lovelier with her presence. he could admire it, but he could not, however, the bile-like jealousy that rose in his throat to see it.

it glittered upon the sand, turning each and every grain into diamonds. a beach of gems, all scattered about. once upon a time, he would have relished in the beauty. but now, rehan kicked it up like it was nothing, small puffs of silver-gold erupting behind him as he trotted down the beach with no place to be--

no place to really want to be.

his whole life had been constructed around duty, missions. but with the failure of his last, that existence was over. it had ended in a whimper, not the bang he'd always wanted. he would have rather died by bloody violence than face this fate, on the run, indefinitely. probably forever.

so the moon was lovely, the sand and stars were lovely;

but rehan was not lovely, and worse than that, he had no one with which to share his misery.

only under the cover of dark, did Endeavor begin to make his way out onto a glittering and shadeless beach. he came slow at first, nose pressed high into the saltwinds, until the scant scent of another canid reached him, and drove the savage apparition to seek its company.

this place was nothing like the cutting heights and trenchant depths of Snowblind, leaving the wolf feeling unchallenged and (to a lesser degree) homesick. he had not intended to leave his pack, but had gone several miles from his mates before realizing that he had no desire to return either— a thought that propelled him ceaselessly forward. searching for something to still him.

he came upon the sullen mixbreed then, and with an announcing huff— accompanied by a confidently waving tail and forward posture— he set the tone with a very self-assured vibe of: "I want to get to know you."

big and broad, the pale brute was impossible to ignore, even if he wanted to. and he didn't. rehan was inexplicably drawn to the stranger, mostly because of his silence. that was good. . .this would not be a painful, awkward conversation where they said everything and he said nothing. no one here knew his language; he was the stranger, and he knew it well.

"kaun hain?" he rasped, tilting his head slightly. "who?" erm, no. . . "who you?" he tried again, hoping that was a little closer to what he'd intended. smart as he was in other areas, rehan struggled with language; he preferred not speaking at all over anything. one tongue was enough--why did he need more?

Endeavor couldn't help the immediate head tilt he gave the stranger, turning his head as if he thought letting the words hit his ears from a different angle might help him understand better. This only served to make them both look confused, but as the other seemed to wilt slightly under his poor verbal presentation, Endeavor was not deterred by the language or cultural barriers they now shared. He wasn't the type to be bothered by such things.

"Endeavor," he answered with a proud, quick bob of his ruffled skull. "You?" he echoed, trying to limit his word usage to the ones he knew this male could understand. The male was shifting of his forepaws, as if eager or impatient for something more. This was a fine-looking wolf— nevermind his muddied blood— but if he wanted to stand around and puzzle over a conversation, then the Siebold male didn't make for good company.
