hello sibs!!!!!! need to get my dose of family! @Takiyok @Tahani @Shivali @Tomkin

It had been three and a half weeks since he and Shivali had meet with the member of the Morningside pack. He had been thinking over what might potentially need to be done to insure the safety of the territory that they had claimed. It made Siarut uncomfortable to have them so close considering their original greetings. He was feeling slightly hypocritical however, and had a strong desire to hear what his siblings had to say on the matter.

The grey clouds hung heavy, full of impending snow. Their higher altitude brought swifter changes in seasons, they were already facing colder weather, snow and animals were starting to leave for warm ground. Without their ancestry from the north, IkKanattuk would surely be lost. Standing on the stiff ice of the glacier, Siarut threw his head back and called for his blood. It was time for a family reunion.

The call stopped her trek up the mountain. She released a frustrated sigh in response to her brother's summons, wanting so badly to just ignore it and continue up the mountain to a place she knew she would be alone. It sounded important, though, and she figured she should probably show up, even though she knew it would difficult to be around him. They of course had disagreements before this one but never this bad, and seeing him reminded her of of all the words exchanged between them in the heat of the moment. Reluctantly, she turned and made her way back down the mountain and in the direction of Sia's call.

When she arrived, she was pained to see that no one else was there yet. Great. Now she would have to sit here without even the buffer of someone else's presence. She silently walked until she was close enough to be respectful but far enough to be comfortable, sitting down and looking anywhere but at Sia.

this fell right into her plans of getting closer to her family. grinning, she gladly heeded the summons, skirting across the glacier with eager paws. so fast she traveled that when she went to stop, she slid a bit, laughing. completely ignorant of the tension between her siblings. she butted Taki against the shoulder with her head and moved to play-wrestle with Siarut before moving away, in good spirits.

"how are you both?" Tahani asked, and then finally, she noticed something was off between the two of them. her smile faded a bit, as she looked back and forth, Siarut to Takiyok, Takiyok to Siarut. "what's going on?"

Tahani had always been the peacekeeper amongst the Ateneq siblings, and he was glad to see that she still had the knack for it. The awkwardness of his other sister didn't faze the brute. No, this was her mistake and she would have to fix it. Siarut wouldn't make the first move to mend their relationship, Takiyok would have to realize what she did wrong before they could fix what had been broke.

Giving Tahani an shrug, he figured that if anyone wanted to join them later they could. "Let's talk business first." Siarut would prefer to get the pack business finished before their dysfunctional family drama. He waited to see if they would agree before continuing.

Luckily, she did not have to sit alone in her brother's presence for long because Tahani soon joined them, offering them both an affectionate greeting. Taki gave her older sister a weak smile, but that was about all the response she could muster. Their perceptive sister noticed the tension almost immediately after greeting them, looking between the pair before asking what was going on. Taki's eyes flitted away from her siblings, focusing on a random tree in the distance, and her ears fell slightly. She wouldn't even know where to start, plus she wasn't really sure she wanted to tell her sister what was going on; she'd probably just be disappointed in her like Sia, and she really didn't think she could handle that.

Sia saved them from having to lay out their drama, at least for now, stating that they should discuss business first. She was equal amounts relieved and irritated; how could he just sit there and act as if the rift between them was nothing? She had been stewing and sulking since their fight, but she was less likely to hide her emotions in front of those she trusted, which was usually not the case for her stoic brother. Still, it pissed her off a little to see him blow it off.

Pushing all her Sia shit aside for now, she reluctantly made eye contact with the atausiq. What business, she asked tiredly. The wounds on her neck were still throbbing, and she just wanted to get this over with so she could slink off and be alone.

she gave Siarut a narrow i don't buy it look, but shrugged it off in a similar fashion, giving a smart nod to his suggestion to talk business. well-- her eyes drifted to Takiyok; she resisted a laugh at the flat-toned question. it was exactly what was on her mind, except she approached it a little more cheerfully.

"yes, Sia--what business?" Tahani asked, the smile returning to her muzzle once more. at any rate, it was an opportunity to catch up with what had been happening with IkKanattuk. so isolated she was at times that life just seemed to slip by her, like birds flying south. they did in droves, these days. . .as did all that Tahani missed.
