puppy time!!! @Currituck @Aningan @Sos

The smell of winter hung in the air, chilling the brutes bones as he ventured into the sun of the day. The grotto was a cold and unforgiving place, which is why Siarut spent so much time within it. It was a place where he could relax and enjoy his thoughts. A place where few ventured, giving him time alone.

The start of a new day however, prompted the man to travel throughout his territory. This morning a patrol was in order. With the near miss of a bobcat not even a week ago, Siarut had been keen to double to efforts to keep the non-combatants and the pups safe.

Whilst his family members fought to keep him safe, the child found himself venturing into places where he shouldn’t. Since meeting the peculiar-looking pup, as he would always remember her as being, he’d been curious—curious about the world around him, of those that occupied it, and of how he might better relate to those he knew he should not. He was an adventurer, after all, and that was just what he was supposed to do.

Aningan tore across the glacier with his head tilted up towards the sky, eyes focused on a dark mass overhead whilst his legs pushed him to catch it. What it was, he did not know but fully intended to find out. From below, with the sun glaring down at him, it appeared only as a blackened being, further adding to the mystery of it all—a mystery that had him so deep within a trance that he didn’t realise he was coming up on one of his family members, nor that he was on a path bound to collide with him.
Characters are more than welcome to mistake Aningan for a polar bear.
A snowy owl can also be noted hanging around with Aningan, usually in the trees or sky, unless stated otherwise in my posts.

There was a blur to his right, that Siarut had no time to dodge. The white blob collided, knocking the man to the side forcing him to sit to prevent himself from falling over fully. He let out a stiff growl at the offender, more annoyed than angry.

The scent of his nephew followed after the collision, looking over the boy to see if the impact had injured the boy. Siarut quirked a brow, seeking an explanation or an apology. "What are you doing Aningan?"

There came a collision, and then a growl.

Aningan tumbled to the ground, the wind knocked out of him, and pulled his ears back—though the second he realised it was just his uncle, he was back up on his feet and searching the skies overhead. His ears swiveled, searching for the sound of wings, but there was nothing to be found. Frowning, he turned his attention back to the older male and shrugged, before tossing his muzzle in the general direction of the clouds.

Had he seen it too?
