All Welcome
@Llewellyn and tegan travelled through the mountains with... some hardship. tegan did not like the mountains. in fact, he always opted to go around them. but that just wasn't an option, they needed to get to black feather ASAP. and if that meant tegan had to drag himself up a fuckin mountain, so be it. but boy was he fuckin rekt by the time they got there. they took some breaks, naturally, but tegan's legs were t i r e d. if he didn't have the nicest fuckin ass in the whole wide world by the time he returned (with ceara!!!!!) he was gonna sue.

sure enough, tegan found hints of her scent the closer they got, and when they reached the well marked borders, the blackthorn yearling was positive she was in there somewhere. and... he could've sworn that he scented ... no way it could've been fucking @Mou. (fucking screech, but for tags sake it says mou). if he got whiffs of that guy, chances were that ceara wasn't even in there-- and his stupid nose was playing tricks on him.

fuck.

tegan gave his traveling companion a look, unsure of what to do here. and then, uneasily, he tilted his head back and called for @Ceara. what a fuckin dumb thing to do... but, whatever, tegan alerted ceara that he was there. along with every other blackfeather wolf ever.

He is quiet throughout the trip. It is a hard journey, and he is consumed by worry for Ceara, presumably in the paws of Blackfeather's depraved denizens. Plus, he doesn't know Tegan all that well, and he feels slightly sheepish at having tagged along so readily (though if his actions save Ceara's life, well, no regrets). He is both relieved and anxious when they arrive, the fetid aroma of the bone-lined border sending his nostrils flaring.

Before he can even get a word out, Tegan is howling for Ceara, and Llewellyn flashes him his trademarked "Are you fucking kidding me?" expression, bristling as he shoves his shoulder into the boy's own. "Be quiet," he snaps in the most authoritarian tone he can muster, hissing through his teeth. "Do you think they are going to be honest with us, tell us exactly where she is? Come on, we need to get in before they come."

The golden wolf trots quickly, soundlessly away, waving his tail for Tegan to follow. He slinks like a commando, belly to the grass, moving a good distance before slipping into the shadows. They are at the edge of the border, not quite across but well within the point of no return. He glances at Tegan, who (hopefully) has followed him to this point.

"If they find us, we explain ourselves," Llewellyn explains. "They are in the wrong, not us. We go until we are caught. Go. We will look for her scent."

a sharp elbow is thrown into tegan's ribcage, and he oofs and crouches forwards in a surprised pain. "br..oo..." he utters with a stoney gaze, shooting daggers right through the other guy. but he was making good points. whatever, he'd already fucked up-- time to go.

wait? fuck. go? go where? were these assholes really about to trespass? well, shit. tegan quickly put himself upright and started off after llew, his ears pinned to his skull. i mean, yeah, tegan was into fuckass shit just as much as the next guy-- even more, maybe-- but if towhee had taught him anything, it was that outsiders were not welcome inside pack territory.

and tegan was an outsider.

he nodded solemnly (can't believe i just described tegan as solemn) as llew gave him a game plan, and then continued along. tegan could follow directions. phew. yeah. this was fine. tegan could do this.

"full send," tegan muttered quietly under his breathe.

Good--they are on the same page. With a stilted nod, Llewellyn turns and slinks into the territory. His golden fur is a damned liability in this dark, dank place, but what else can he do? Perhaps if there was mud in which to roll around, but there had been not much rain lately, and the ground is dry. Besides, not much got through here. The canopy is thick; barely any moonlight filters through.

"Fy Dduw," he breathes, entirely unnerved by the place. It is unlike anything he has ever seen before; it is something out of a nightmare. Little wonder the wolves that have chosen this forest as a home turn out so twisted. He imagines he would be much the same, if born and raised here.

There is no clear scent trail of Ceara's, nor any clues that would lead them to her. Llewellyn keeps on, sniffing like a bloodhound and praying--praying--that it leads him somewhere worthwhile. The words of his family's last rites are ringing in his ears; his parents never got theirs, nor would he if he dies here tonight. But at least he hears it now, as if he is a child once more, tucked in the safety of Mynydd.

Cameo, am at hospital so you get a phone post.

The plan had been decided and Mou wanted to rally against it, but he was overwhelmed by all that had transpired through the conversation; Relmyna discovering the Redhawk, Winterbane bringing to light facts he never knew about him, and the sacrifice they were about to make - it was too much for him. The boy was pacing in the woods and trying to calm his many thoughts, but then he caught a scent that made him pause. He heard a sound - a call - but it was cut short. Mou moved to intercept and stopped when he heard hushed voices, peering at the foreign shapes in the dark, and found it strange when the larger pale wolf turned and caught his face in a shaft of light.

Mou was stunned when he recognized the ghostly man from the caldera. He almost took a step, feeling his body tense as a stupid concept occurred to him: to cut them both down and defend the woods, his family, and Maegi. He ducks low and prepares to lunge, to valiantly defend Blackfeather Woods, when a tiny dark shape latched upon his scruff.

@Maegi would be missing Blue, but the lost boy wasn't the only one to notice the interlopers. The tiny bird hummed a sound and tugged at Mou's fur with a few sharp pecks, and it is enough to make him hesitate, begin to rethink. Rather than fight them head on, Mou slinks back - with Blue alongside him, the pair escape in to the dark to find Maegi.

Hope it's ok to drop Flicker in :)

Flicker's head jerked up from the dying flora around the trees and scarlet ears cupped towards the call. Winter was sweeping in swiftly, but who was this wolf calling for? She started into a stiff trot, jaunty because of her shoulder that did seem to be healing without issue, to find the source of the call. By now, she'd gotten used to the territory and, although, she didn't know it as well as the owners of the land she could navigate with her usual ease.

Her head lifted slightly as she reached the border a scent, unlike the one the belonged to the Blackfeather wolves reached her. Inhaling deeply, the scarlet patchwork cast her golden gaze about for the intruders. Two scents mingled together, were there more? Why only two? Why weren't they waiting, why where they just entering...

The southerner's fur bristled in distaste, this can not be happening again, and she turned to follow the fresh scent, not knowing how far they've penetrated, until she found herself behind the pair. Two males, grey and golden. She paused, lips curling back but no sound emitted; they'd only know of her presence by her scent that was still slightly distinguishable from the rest of Blackfeather and the sound of her approach. Oh gods... Hopefully, one of them was looking down on her at that moment, watching her back.

not positive how to handle this thread sooooo here goes nothing haha

he heard something. barely. or maybe he smelled it. or maybe both. tegan just suddenly realized that holy shit they weren't alone. was it fucking screech? was that bastard here? he couldn't figure out who-- if anyone. maybe it was a phantom scent. either way, tegan did another dumbass thing.

"fuck you!!!" he yelled, whirling around a few times, turning and scanning the underbrush best he could. it was too fucking dark, tegan couldn't see anyone except llew who was either alerted to the presence of another wolf or... about to fucking murder him. better that guy than a black feather wolf, maybe. i dunno. even if he was elbowed or hit or shushed by llew, tegan would tack on for good measure-- "you kidnapped a redhawk and you're gonna fucking pay!! suck my dick!!" that's probably all he'd be able to get out.

small cameo im gonna use this as Moomshadow officially leaving BFW as well tis been a pleasure.

The she-wolf couldn't stay here anymore the emotional tole had gotten to her and Moonshadow no longer felt as though she belonged. After returning to Blackfeather from Shadow Mountain and the injury of her eye, she never truly felt the same after that. She felt her vision fading from her eye and she knew soon she wouldn't be of much use to anyone anyway. This is when she thought of leaving as she was turning away she heard yelling and the commotion ahead drew her attention in as she saw wolves she didn't recognize though their scent however was similar. She slowly went close and heard a bit.

It was no surprise to her that they had taken in another captive, quite frankly it was no longer any of her business, nor did she care anymore and without a second thought the ebony female soon leaves in a sprint.

it would be hard to miss the cacophony that was happening in astara's quiet forest: the halls, usually full of silent gloom, pealed with shouts of anger. astara drew herself up from the ground in surprise, her long ears cupped ahead as she picked her way between bare trees towards the borders.

she didn't see moonshadow, or flicker, or mou -- but she did see two wolves that she didn't know; one was a stately grey but the other was this illuminant gold; it captured the girl's aubergine stare, and she drew towards them without fear.

no wolf had ever harmed astara - why would these be different? she was fascinated by them - the loud one was, well, exquisitely loud -- and the gold one, as blatantly as he was colored, seemed far quieter. astara wasted no time sprinting to them -- and then, once she was within striking distance, dove into an absurd playbow before tegan. he still had the ardent curves of youth to him, and that was an inviting enough reason for astara to attempt to elicit play.

He knows they cannot go undetected for long; first one scent, wreathing through the air, then something behind. . .

Then Tegan is making an ass of himself once more, screaming vulgarities and whirling around, and Llewellyn is just about to try and shut him up once more when the rush of pawsteps and a darker shadow against the dim light of the forest whirls away. Unaware of the pup that has just arrived on the scene, too, Llewellyn races after the fugitive, lips curled in a snarl.

He is silent death, bearing down on the Blackfeather wolf from behind. Soon he will be upon her, and she will lead him to Ceara. . .wherever they have her hidden.

exit Llew!

At the boys explosion of curses, Flicker stepped backward and dipped her muzzle in surprise, listening to shouts. There was a captive? The woman emerged from the shadows with a low growl of soft thunder; it didn’t matter if there was a captive or no, they were trespassing. And she would not take kindly to it. “Who the fuck do you think you are?” She questioned, venom lacing her words that promised she’d harm them, “You do not belong here. Get out.”

Before the woman could lunge for them a shadow pressed onto the scene, earning a glance from Flicker that realised — it was a pup. In that moment of realisation, Flicker barked at the pup to make it go. To run away from the strangers. Not to play, but she made to move infront of her should either of them turn on the curious shadow. The golden brute upped and sprinted away, coward, or perhaps he’d headed her warning. Either way, she’d hunt him down once she’d dealt with the youngster.

The woman tipped her head up and howled, calling for anyone to aid with the pup and youngster so she could go after the golden male.

HOLY mother of FUCK.

tegan could've expected 500 things out of this-- the first one was being eaten. he expected to get eaten above all else in this forest. or maybe ceara would magically appear-- a more optimistic approach. but never in his life did he think someone would pop out the woods and try to play? tegan stared in bewilderment at this admittedly kinda attractive even though tegan couldn't gauge her age and he didn't wanna come off creepy but also she looked like she was maybe bat's age and bat was of reasonable age but now all tegan could think about was bat and fuck was bat okay did she make it back okay did blackfeather capture her too fuck he hoped bat was okay fuck this isn't what he should be focused on youth.

and then llew took off. fuck! that was bad news. it didn't cross his mind that he was the one that'd fucked up, just that there was something fucked up going on and tegan was about to be right in the middle of it. his fur had risen, fluffed up in maybe fear maybe defensiveness around his spine and shoulders. and then the voice of yet another! wolf sounded, cursing back at him and howling for backup. but she took off after llew. tegan was left alone in this moment to stand stiffly at stare at the youth-- who idk what was doing now but probably still being cute and lovable. tegan was left unscathed-- and without any immediate threats. good. he needed to keep searching for ceara.

"look-- i got shit to do-- call me though, aight? be safe-- we can pick this up later," he said with a playful wink, but tegan probably hardly looked attractive with all that fluffed up fur. and then he took off through the woods, peeling off and trying not to trip over anything fallen. he was gonna find ceara if it was the last thing he did-- and it very well might have been the last thing he ever did.

there were many things to expect when you begged another to play-- but in astara's rather short life, wolves running away from her was not exactly a commonality. she might have frozen in her tracks to see the burnished male slip off, except, now there was a wolf in front of her she also didn't know.

astara froze and blinked, staring rather stupidly up at flicker -- if it was her prerogative to interrupt play, so be it -- but astara would not see her invitation go unanswered.

after all, her invitation for play was to be handled as if engraved and writ by the queen - it was a magnanimous, very important gesture not without ceremony; she expected nothing but play in answer, and play was exactly what she would get, consequences be damned.

so, missing tegan's devastatingly flirty wink (and subsequent explanation for his departure) astara dove for flicker's leg -- and if she hit her mark, would clamp down with all the ferocity of a tiny alligator demanding someone fucking pay attention to her right now.

The woman was satisfied as the male took his leave, blinking in some surprise at the ease of making him turn tail deeper into the forest. In a moment she felt sharp tingle in her leg; she turned to the sourse with a growl and shook her leg free from the shadowy grip.

“Go and hide.” It was a simple ask, she supposed, for a child but she couldn’t leave her unattended now. Her expression shadowed and she lowered her head slightly to peer into the eyes of the shadow child. Perhaps seeking for an answer to why she did run. If the woman was to indeed hunt the golden male and demand answrs, she couldn’t loiter much longer.
