All Welcome
Radcliffe found himself doing almost nothing. His father was nowhere to be seen, and the whole time he had been sulking. This time, to deal with that feeling he took out his frustrations on a bone. Gnawing at it, tossing it about and hitting it against the ground. Growling at it, pawing at it. It was bad for Rad.

Faye opens her mouth wide and yawns, stretching out her gangly limbs so that her toes point outward. Her back arches a few seconds before collapsing back on the ground and smacking her lips. She likes the sun and hates to see it go, fighting for warmth as the days grow colder. Slowly, once she hears some angry rumbling, she opens her eyes and turns to look, sitting upright and standing all on four legs. Faye stretches out again and trots forward until she sees one of the others puppies throwing around a bone, which looks like a lot of fun! The girl smiles and wags her tail, bouncing forward to play with the boy and his toy.

Radcliffe gnawed more and more on the dirt-covered bone, groaning every now and then against it. He tossed it again, then picked it up a few times. Till at one point, after picking it up he found himself looking straight at another pup like him. The bone dropped, and then with a paw he pulled it towards him. It was his bone, and he eyed the other suspiciously.

The other puppy doesn’t respond all cheery eyed and excited like she expected and instead becomes defensive of the bone. Faye frowns, ears fall back, and she slows to a stop about a foot away. Her head tilts a little too far to the side to inquire the problem before she stomps her front feet and arches down in a playful bow to help further express her intentions of play.

Radcliffe growled a bit as they stopped, gnawing more on the bone. Then, he understood as they got into a playbow. Now, how could he resist a move like that? Holding the bone, he went into his own play stance, holding the bone out and trying to taunt them with it now.

Eventually, the other kid gets it and all worry wipes from her features. Now that he’s gotten into position and relaxed bit, offering her the bone to come and play, she feels the springs pull back and get into place. Her legs lock into place, ready to launch, and like a kitten her hips dance back and forth as she prepares. A low, playful growl slips and she jumps forward, aiming straight for the bone. What’s she going to do if she gets it? She has no idea. Right now, she only wants to get her mouth on it.

Radcliffe watched carefully, waiting for her to make a move. And she does, and he pulls the bone off to the side, stumbling over his own paws. He managed to hold onto the bone still, but had almost lost his balance. It was a bit heavy in his jaws to move around so quickly, and instead he seemed to drag it around as he moved it back with him.

The other puppy starts to move back, losing a little control of the bone. Faye takes the opportunity to bounce after it, dancing along after him and teasing her head forward after it. Her teeth clack against the end dragging the ground but she doesn’t hold onto it, enjoying the little chase he puts her through. If able, she eventually tries for real, latching her teeth against the bulbous end and pulls in the opposite direction.

Radcliffe held on as much as he could. Growling from his jaws enclosed on his end, pulling it along. Till the other grabbed the other end and pulled. He growled more, trying to pull it away. The game was on. Now it was a test of strength, or boredom. Whichever let go first would lose the bone.

The other doesn’t try to escape, per se, but he starts by giving the bone a tug. Success! Sharp puppy teeth bite into the knobby end of the bone as she pulls, tightening her joints and pressing her paws into the ground. No way she was leaving emptyhanded! She growls and grumbles as best she can to make herself appear threatening, swaying her head back and forth for extra power.

Radcliffe followed her movements, trying to pull but she was more prepared for this it seemed as he pulled...then slipped. With a yelp, he tumbled back onto his back. His legs kicking about as he tried to get back over, like a turtle on his back. He had lost the bone.

As the boy severs his link to the bone, Faye comically falls back on her hindquarters but she doesn’t stop there. The momentum of her pull flings her back and she doesn’t see the other puppy do the same maneuver. Clinging to the bone so hard, she doesn’t lose it but she does bust her mouth a little and a puppy tooth cracks, causing blood to smear on one end. The metallic taste in her mouth throws her off guard but she ignores it and rights herself, turning to the flailing puppy. Instantly, she drops the bone nearby and burrows down into the ground, ready to help him up to all four feet.

Radcliffe didn't see Faye till he got himself up, seeing her down just as he had been. And as he sees her get up, there was an odd scent as she went to help her. Rad hadn't noticed the color of red on the bone. The boy tipped his head a bit, still on his back as he started wriggling then, kicking his legs a bit to get up.

Want to wrap it up?

She helps the boy get up to his feet and smiles wide when she does. A soft woof escapes her and she bounces around a little, searching for the bone now that her playmate has corrected everything. Faye bounces for the bone, picking it up and hoping he’ll chase her.

Yes, thanks for the thread!

Radcliffe grumbled a bit, looking as if he was about to sulk. He had lost his bone. Among other things...then he looked up and started wagging upon seeing the other with the bone. He bounded other, moving to give chase quickly to get back the bone, and to have fun.
