All Welcome
@Greyback

Vespera found herself in by the small stream. She remembered this spot since this is where Brynn and Vespera ventured off when she was getting to know the territory. The memory was strong like it happened yesterday, the female tried to catch a fish here and almost drowned doing so. The fish that she eventually caught slipped away from her and her efforts were for nothing. The female sat beside the running stream, the sound of the water rushing about was satisfying for the female to be in her own thoughts. Vespera thought she could possibly catch another fish here again and maybe prove the Valette that she could hunt since the last time she barely did anything. The young female carefully guided her paws over to the bank of the stream, she folded her paws into her chest as she bend her head down slowly, her eyes scanning the stream. The fish were swiftly making their way through the current, the female tried to set her eyes on one but the fish were always moving. Vespera had little to no experience with fishing, but she could only guess how. The young female quickly dove her snapping jaws into the current, but with every snap she missed. This frustrated her to where the point she cursed to herself and began to repeatedly dive her muzzle and snap into the current and pull it out and go over the same routine.

Greyback perked his ears to the sound of distant cursing and splashing. Curious, he drove his head downward and trekked through the trees, his tail held high in expectancy of meeting something troubling. However, he was met with the small figure of Vespera down by the bank, her face contorted into a snarl as she snapped angerly at the water.

"You'll never drink any water like that," he chuckled, dropping his aggressive demeanor and walking up to her, his feet far from the cold water at the stream's end. He knew she wasn't trying to drink, but rather fish. He stayed quiet, watching her and seeing how she would respond.

Vespera's focus seemed unbreakable, the female watch and studied the fishes's movement. The young female had no idea that Greyback was coming up to her since she tunneled her vision and blocked out sounds that weren't the fish. The truth was that she wasn't the best fisher or hunter in general, but she had to try something to improve her skills. Her gaze automatically locked onto any fish that came across her vision, but with every attempt was a fail. The cool water was splashing up on her face and was numbing her muzzle but she persisted. When she lost her focus for just one moment, the voice of Greyback had ran through her ears, and widened back her vision. However since she was in deep focus, his words startled for a second to where she shot her head up while a fish sprang into the air, and before she could react, the slimy creature had slapped her across her eyes and knocked her back into reality. Her vision was fuzzy and she was able to make out the shape of Greyback, the male was much larger than she was, there was no mistake about that. However she didn't care at the moment, she was deciding whether to take her anger out on the fish, or on the male. The female shook her head fiercely as the water flung off her face and rocketed in separate directions. Her anger fumed to the point where steam could have come out her ears but she didn't have time to snap at Greyback. Vespera snapped her head back at the stream and pinned her ears, "have at thee!" The female cried as she pounced into the stream and began stomping in the water creating more splashing. However she realized that this was no use and ceased her movement, Vespera scanned the water and found all the fish swam away. The young female flared her nose at looked at Greyback, "showed him," the female proudly stated as she waded in the water.

Greyback continued to watch silently as the dark female attempted to fish, the loud splashes of her efforts echoing through the crisp air of the forest and scaring everything in sight. He was perplexed at her unkept rage, wondering how someone of her age had yet to find the solace to tame it. With each snap at the water and cry leaving her jaws it made him wonder more.

"Vespera," the male barked, ultimately unheard by the youth as she splashed about. "Vespera," he called again, a bit louder. It was then that she turned around to look at him that he gave her a raised brow. "The fish have been long gone, you scared them all away." he stated, looking down at river. Wasn't it cold? Winter was just around the corner and snow had already been falling for the past few sunrises.

"Come up on the bank, you'll freeze." Greyback did not want to burden Alarian with such an avoidable thing, especially when the male had just returned and was still healing.

Vespera looked back at the man with her eyes narrowed and her bottom lip stick out a bit as if she was pouting. The female felt a little pain in her chest when he said the fish have gone, she knew it but she felt terrible because she knew she wasn't the greatest hunter, but only the greatest boaster. But the female looked down at her large paws that were wading in the stream as the cool water rushed through her legs. The female tilted her head at them since Greyback had said that she will freeze, but she didn't feel cold, well not bone chilling cold since her paws did feel a little cold. She could probably guess it was because of her fur because her mother had told her something about herself and why they could survive the cold a bit better than other wolves could. The young female flared her nose, "okay Dad," the female had said in a snarky way with sarcasm on top of it like an angsty teenager, she hung her head half way and put her ears back as she stomped her way onto the bank and out of the stream. At that moment she felt the cool breeze hitting her wet paws but she didn't mind it that much, she then looked at Greyback and raised a brow, "happy now?" Vespera heavily used snark and sarcasm on this one.

Picking up a paw, Greyback slowly backed up to give the raging yearling room, her sarcasm fazing past him easily as she swept by. He didn't mind the bitter tone coming from her, nor the sarcasm that dripped from each word. Once a yearling himself, Greyback recalled how hard emotions were to handle at times...though it seemed that Vespera always had a bit of irritation clinging to her.

"Happy now?"

Greyback gave a firm nod to her. "Much," he replied, choosing not to address her tone with him. That could come at a later time. Turning, he trailed up the riverside with his tail lightly swaying and posture high. The snow had been falling for some time now, sprinkling the ground and his pelt with a silvery powder. "You were hunting, correct?" He asked, his voice deep. He didn't bother looking at Vespera, only the river. "You must be hungry than...come- let us find something to eat."

What's wrong with ves that she can't feel cold?

oh my bad, should have been more specific, I meant that she can still feel it but its not like frost bite, since she is a Tundra wolf, her fur is more thick and dense and fluffy, she has a tiny bit more resistance since Tundra wolves live in the Tundra they are build for the cold. Or her feet could have grown numb from it xD she is not immune from it. I hope that makes sense :)

When Greyback had said much, she could only roll her eyes and scoffed a little. The young female shook her fur and looked at her paws, they were still wet, and the wind was only making them feel colder and colder which was beginning to bother her. But that wouldn't be an issue anymore since when the man had mention hunting together her blood began to rush in a panic. "Uh-n-no I was just... trying to... Play with the fish... yea play with them" Vespera didn't want to mention that she was just trying to impress Valette because she felt as if she was doing a much worse job than anyone at hunting. To make her point, the female quickly went into a sitting position and stuck her nose up and closed her eyes, "i'm not hungry at all, I was just bored," purposely making her tone sound snobbish and childish. But her attitude would be interrupted by the falling snow as a small flake would land on her nose and dissolve before she could do anything. The female opened her purple gaze and stared at the falling flakes as her ears flicked every time one would land on them. "oh perfect, I  love snow," the female had said sarcastically to herself, she had lowered her muzzle as her focus seemed to look at the falling flakes. She wanted to catch them and eat them, but she didn't want to appear childish to Greyback but she figured he could tell that she was.

Grey paused in his tracks as the young she-wolf announced she wasn't hungry and was, in fact, just bored and playing with the creatures. The action was childish in his eyes, disrupting the flow of the river for simple pup play, but he didn't voice his opinions. He knew the girl was lying by the hesitance in her voice and only chose to nod to her again.

He continued to watch her, curious what she would do after sitting. He noticed snow falling, and tore his gaze away to glance upward towards the sky, closing his eyes and letting the flakes rest of his face before dissolving. He liked the snow, remembering the times where he played in it with his litter mates, their plump bodies and fur matted with hunks of snow that stuck. They always had to wade in the water afterwards so it would melt.

Glancing back to Vespera, he saw the girl looking downwards, an odd expression on her face. Tipping his head, he walked closer before abruptly sweeping a large paw across the ground, spraying her with a mist of white. He waited for her to look at him, a humble smile on his face. Normally he wouldn't partake in such childsplay, but the man found it hard to look at his pack mate being silent and still.

The female sat looking at her paws, she was beginning to get lost in her own mind again which was something usual for the female to do. Vespera let the snow rest on her dark fur and evaporate, she felt as though there was nothing left for her to say for she was hoping that the male would leave her alone. Her ears shot straight up when she heard the heavy foot steps of the male, oh now what? You want to chew my ear out to? But to the female's surprise and to her annoyance he didn't say anything, but what happened next was something she didn't expect. In nearly half a second before she could even look at the male, she could hear a faint woosh, and the next thing she knew, her head was covered in white fluffy snow, and it could be considered heavy for her since it weighed her perked ears down for them to fall on the sides of her head. At this point the female could have shot up and snapped at his muzzle and tell him to piss off, but her mind was filled with such confusion that she didn't know what to say or how to react at first. But what it did do was snap her out of her own little world, she liked being in her own little world and when she was kicked out of that mind state, she wasn't too thrilled to be covered with snow. The young female's head started to slowly but smoothly crane upward to where her knitted eye brows and intense purple gaze met his, she stared at the male with fire in her eyes for a dew seconds as she firmly planted her front paws into the snow so that her rear legs could unfold from its sitting position and catch themselves into a proper firm stance. Her tail was low and her expression did not change, but the glomp of snow was starting to fall from her head. The female kept her intense gaze as she slowly and smoothly guided her paws toward the male in front of her, who was also smiling about this, did he find amusement in all this? Vespera stopped right in front of the man's chest since she wasn't the tallest wolf in Teekon, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. Vespera slowly craned her head up even more as the snow on her head was falling off. She wanted to get a message across to him but she didn't know exactly how but she had to try something. With one more serious and unamused glance, Vespera quickly spread all four of her legs over shoulder widths apart and violently shaking her dark and fluffly fur. She was at a close enough distance to where she could at least try to spray the man with a wave of white mist. When she finally stopped shaking her fur, she wasn't done yet, she quickly diver her nose down into the snow and dipped her nose into the soft snow and shot back up her muzzle, flicking each flake at Greyback. The female recoiled her head and looked at the man with the same eye intensity but with a smirk across her muzzle.
