All Welcome
id prefer someone from eh or lch :eyes: but it’s aw tho!

a friend had vanished without a word again and yet again the duty of searching for her fell onto max.  life has a funny way of repeating itself didn’t it? only this time things were a little different.

she had traveled far from drageda with @Lava as an escort. the two didn’t speak to each other that much besides sharing their names. it made things all the more awkward and lonely.

despite their best efforts, saarthal was nowhere to be found. gone without a trace, just like feline. jesus. why did everyone she love have to disappear?

the harsh winter weather was their cue to call off the search and head home. oh god, how would mallaidh react when she came back empty handed? drageda? she trusted that her friend had informed them about her departure but she had been gone for so long. would they let her back in? well, time would tell.

~

a cold breeze swept over the wilds. two young wolves traversed through a thick layer of snow. they needed to wait out these frigid winds, so max scent lava out to go find a place to camp out for the night. “you look around here, i’ll go over there,” she ordered before trotting off.

this sucked. this all sucked. this whole journey would have been better if mallaidh was here. lava was nice and all, but he was so quiet and shy. his anxiety rubbed off on her and they both just ended up as two anxious train wrecks. well to be fair, mallaidh wasn’t the outgoing type either but it was different. she felt comfortable and safe around her and they could cuddle up in weather like this. with lava, well, that would just be weird.

i couldn't resist
He still can't get the grey girl off his mind, though he's found some distraction in treating Midar's injuries. He's still confused about the former and fairly pissed about the latter, though, and overall it makes for a bad combination. So he decides to take a very long walk — just to clear his head. Figure some things out. He's still gay, right? Oh god.
He's so busy panicking over what his oh-so-devious affair means for his sexuality, he doesn't even notice the girl until he nearly runs into her. He sucks in a sharp breath, quickly taking a couple awkward steps backward. Oh! Sorry — I didn't see you there, He trains his gaze on the ground, irrationally afraid that she'll be cute too and he'll have to go through some weird identity crisis. But there's no flutter in his stomach this time, no creeping warmth over his face. Only the harsh winter wind and his own stinging embarrassment.

:D!

max grew more cold with each passing moment. this weather sure was harsh. a little, short-furred wolf like her wasn’t meant to handle tempatures like this. her body shook like a leaf, it wasn’t making her search any easier.

she was so wrapped up in her own task that she hardly noticed the stranger. he’s in her peripheral and doesn’t seem to care of her existence. nothing to worry about. oh wait... he’s coming closer. wow, he’s really just... in his own world right now. ok, now he’s really close. and still no acknowledgment. is this dude blind?

the guy nearly knocks into her. if she hadn’t side stepped out of his way, he probably would have. he apologized and turned his gaze away from her. “it’s o-okay,” she replied through chattering teeth. his scars immediately catch her attention and her fur rises for a split second. it looks like he’s been through hell and back. maybe she should be wary, but he’s so small. almost as small as her. ha, that’s a first. “you g-g-good?

He sucks in a breath, feeling the fear melt from him inexplicably as the girl speaks. He hardly understands her question, but the sound of her voice is reassuring, somehow; this is just another girl. Like usual. He glances up toward her, gaze sweeping over her quickly before he meets her eyes. Small, brown, nondescript — nothing to be afraid of. It's fine, he's fine.
Uh, what was that? Sorry, He's still fairly embarrassed by his apparent blindness (lmao), though, and now he feels bad that he can't understand the girl past her chattering teeth. He glances past her for a moment, catching hints of another scent around her, but no one else is near. At least, not where he can see them.

she’d hope that a fleeting moment away from her body guard would give her a break from the anxiety that hung over her. well she could kiss that dream goodbye, cause this whole situation was just awkward.

she shuffled in place, hoping movement would warm her up a bit. it sorta helped her shivers die down to an extent. “i s-said, are you ok?

She repeats herself, and for some reason it makes him feel worse to know that she's trying to be nice and here he is making her repeat it. Oh, uh, yeah — I'm fine. Are you okay? It seems right to return the question, given she's still shaking. Hopefully from the cold, though he has a difficult time imagining himself as intimidating in any situation. Then again, the scars... oh, whatever — that's what asking questions is for, right?

He grimaces sympathetically in response, nodding slightly. Yeah, it's pretty cold out here... He trails off awkwardly, unsure where to go from here. After a few more minutes of painfully attempting to hold some sort of conversation, the two part ways, and he can't help but feel a little relieved. He feels off ever since his time with Saarthal, especially around girls — it's really for the best that he avoids them.
