@Derg little bit of pp, let me know if it's not ok <3
the descent into the grotto is treacherous, but worth it; at least, he thinks so. he's never actually been here before, but he's glimpsed it from afar during his travels — and, truth be told, he regrets not visiting sooner. but perhaps it is better experienced this way for the first time, heart fluttering as he takes the last few steps down and turns to his companion. he draws nearer when the other joins him, reaching to press his nose gently to his jaw. if the touch is allowed, he starts a trail of soft kisses along his jaw and down his neck, a little drunk on the feeling of touching another. there is no lust in his affection, not now — only a hesitant tenderness that feels entirely foreign to him. he pulls away after a few moments, silently beckoning the other further into the territory with him. the grotto itself is fairly secluded, but he's certain they could find even more privacy, perhaps tucked into the side of one of the surrounding mountains.

He traveled with the man, often bumping his shoulder into his. He enjoyed the company of the man. He felt he could loosen up a bit, be playful.

They had to tread carefully to get to their destination; it eased something in his mind. Barely.
There wouldn't be anybody looking for fun around here in the winter months, yet those who did come here didn't want to be found.
Such as himself and his accomplice.
At last, they made it, eager to keep the contact; the fluttering, touch of desire. There wasn't the same desire as earlier, no. This was different. Soft, warm. Not burning hot.
Derg looked about them, still alert whilst hyperaware of every touch -- every kiss -- laid across his neck and cheek.
He didn't want this to be spoiled.

He presses his own kiss to the cheek of the man before he is led further. He touches his nose along the back of the man, sometimes pressing up to his neck before falling back again, switching sides.
He was almost intoxicated on him, yet didn't have a name to put to him.
"What is your name?" He thought it better to ask now than later, it would probably break the mood.

the man's constant affection keeps him on his toes to an extent; it's difficult to relax fully with their proximity, tempted as he is to abandon their journey now and lose himself in the other's embrace. his companion's question comes just as something catches his eye, and he pauses a moment before offering his answer. "ronnie," he murmurs, turning fathomless black eyes on the other for a beat. "yours?"
he does not wait for a response, instead gesturing for the man to follow him as he starts toward the entrance of what appears to be a small cavern in the mountainside. there are strange scents surrounding it, animals he's never scented before, but they are all faded; the spot has been abandoned, it seems. his hackles prickle slightly as he registers a faint rustling from a distance, gaze finding nothing as he turns briefly to search for the source. suddenly paranoid, he takes a step into the cavern, eager to assure himself of its relative safety and retreat from the eerie quiet of the grotto.

He tilted his head at the pause he gave. He half wondered if it were a fake name he'd been given. His lip twitched before licking them.
He wanted to lie. Wanted to prevent being found later when he continued his hunt. He didn't want people to know and yet he shouldn't. He shouldn't feel this need to hide, however, he knew that there were others that were like how he used to be. Grezig may still be as such. He couldn't. Equally, he couldn't lie either. It wouldn't settle right with him.

"Derg," he replied after they started walking.
He inhaled the scents, old and faded. This cavern had had its share of dwellers, it seemed. He could pick up the distinguishable polecat. It's stench reeked around the area, yet their scent lingered often. He'd just be wary for now.
"Seems alright."  He murmured, stepping in beside Ronnie. He half wondered if the polecat would come streaking out, or even put up a fight. He wasn't in the mood for that.

derg. it seems too simple a name for the man who has ensnared him so easily, yet fitting. he presses his muzzle to the other's shoulder as he steps into the cavern beside him, nipping him gently before he moves forward to investigate further. whatever had inhabited the place seems absent now, though the possibility of its return is a slightly uncomfortable thought. but two wolves are no small threat, he knows; surely they can get through a single night undisturbed. when he's certain there won't be any unwelcome distractions, he turns to face derg, stepping forward to kiss his cheek lightly before settling on the cavern floor. he considers speaking, but thinks better of it after a moment; part of him can't help but be afraid of ruining whatever connection has started to form between them.

He noses around the floor, looking to settle. He lifts his head when Ronnie turns back to him, returning his own kiss before settling with him. Pressing his side against him. It was warmer here, he felt happy laying here. They could make it through the night without something lurking into the cavern, he supposed.

Derg exhaled softly -- if he were a cat he'd purr. He laid kissed along the neck of the other, along his chin. Letting his teeth groom through the longer tufts along his neck. Content. Alive.
He inhaled Ronnies scent deeply, sighing after.
He ached, all over. It was a long day for him and he was sure it was just so for Ronnie. All he wanted was to make him happy and sleep.
"How are you feeling?" He inquired, his voice soft and smooth like varnished wood.

he sighs softly as derg settles against him, melting into his affection. he tucks himself closer, shivering a little at the feeling of teeth in his neck fur. the question brings him another moment of pause. "better than i have in awhile," he murmurs, gaze tracing the other's features with helpless attraction. "what about you?" he presses his nose into derg's fur, enjoying his warmth and scent for a moment before settling his head against him. it's been some time since he's slept with another like this — and truth be told, he doesn't know when he'll get the opportunity again, so he intends to enjoy every moment of this.

Derg smiled softly, genuinely. He seemed to do it more often. He cared for Ronnie, in this moment at least. He rested his chin atop his neck, pressing himself close to the man. He felt warm, warm inside like he was full of a thick liquid of happiness. If there were such a thing.

"I'm glad," he murmured, his tail stirring softly, "I too feel better."  He swallowed. "Thank you." He felt Ronnie deserved it, he made him relax. Forget Keen. Trust she'd be well whilst he is away on his trip. His fur felt soft against his muzzle.
He'd never been intimate with another wolf before -- not like this. He was glad to spend time like this at least once, in case he did indeed find the Monster tomorrow.
