She hadn't been expecting Jace to push Leaf into her; as it was, she swerved, but was not able to get entirely out of the way. Her speed was such that even the glancing collision tripped her up and sent her rolling. Hitting the ground with her shoulder, she managed to send most of the impact to it and protect her head, a move that she was well versed in. By using the momentum she was able to bounce up onto her feet and stick it, ears flat and ready to jump back in.

However, that didn't seem necessary. Fox was high-tailing it out of there (leaving her two packmates behind, Vienna noted with some consternation). In her mind, a good leader would never depart before making sure that all who she led into the fray made it out in one piece. Currently it looked as though Ame might even keep one of them here. She hoped so... Ferdie, she was sure, wouldn't leave a fight first. Fox's wolves deserved better.

Ferdie called out orders and she hurried to obey, placing herself in position and ready to do everything in her power to keep the wolf she had gone after initially from leaving. If the golden one was smart she'd follow Fox's example and hit the road.

Is it confirmed that both are ok being captives? I'll have Danica hover here, she can assist with making a hole for escape if one of you is averse to the situation ^^ I know you were on the fence

Just as Danica got there to help, Fox left. Danica's head whipped around to watch her leave, feeling a stab of annoyance. Not at her, but that she had arrived to late to be of much help in this. Fox's actions made sense, there were too many here and more kept coming.

This left Ferdie unchallenged and he was quick to confront her, but did not attack. Her ears flattened and she let loose a snarl as she heard his words. She'd like to tear his throat out here and now, but knew such a thing would be suicide. True, Danica loved a good fight as much as the next wolf, but she also liked life a lot. She had no desire to throw it away today.

She hesitated before leaving, hating to leave packmates behind and hating even more to surrender before she'd even gotten started. Still growling, she took a step backwards, but made no more motions to leave. Her eyes cast around a bit, searching for an option, any way she could turn this situation around and swing the odds more in her favor. "'This one' doesn't have to do you any favors, fleabags" she shot back angrily, knowing it probably wasn't a good move but too frustrated to care.

In the briefest of moments, everything seemed to turn somehow even more chaotic as final attacks were attempted and the Creek wolves all began their retreats. Summer's attention flashed to a shade of red as it darted past him, though it was quickly brought back as the young wolf he had tried to corner decided to make her own break for it.

For the briefest of moments, Spring met Summer as the Demonte-Ostrega's golden eyes locked onto vivid green. It took him half a second to lose his drive to defend his own pack as her fear and panic, so akin to his own buried deep inside, swept into his awareness. Suddenly, his desire to protect his pack changed to a desire to protect the weak and frightened wolf that was fleeing straight towards him.

Unfortunately, with many of the pack bearing down on the Creek wolf and her packmate, Summer could not disobey the obvious intent of his new family. With an almost apologetic look in his eyes, he sprang forward to meet her. He aimed for what little bare space remained between her and her freedom, what with Amekaze bearing down at her back and other wolves swarming as well. Little Levi had no desire to do to her more damage than he would already be doing by assisting in preventing her escape, so instead of following his packmate's lead and lunging at her to try and grab onto her with his teeth, he snarled and snapped at her legs to try and falter her steps in hopes of making it easier for Ame to grab her.

I've also given permission to be a captive.

Leaf's hurdle over the big, black wolf had been successful, and she had even managed to take down Vienna momentarily, but it was as she was inwardly cheering herself that she was confronted by Ferdie Von Pelt himself. He was no longer the gentle "caretaker" she had met by the lake. Now, he was an intimidating mass of well-groomed muscle. She wanted to ruffle that pelt of his, if only to bother him, but she was neither brave nor foolishness enough to do so. His glare silenced her. Her self-concern vanished, however, as she realized she had not been able to protect Magpie, and she watched as several wolves began to circle the juvenile as if around a potential kill. Try as she did, she could not escape her captor. His experience along with familiarity trumped hers, and she wondered if this was what it meant to be an Alpha.

Barking, she cried for Magpie to run towards Danica, who seemed to be their last opportunity of escape. Fox was no longer to be seen, and later if and when she were alive, she would ponder over such a disappearance and be tempted to doubt.

Sorry for the long delay in responding. This'll be my last post; you guys can either power play dragging her off if you want, but she'd likely just follow obediently at this point. No more damage, though, please!

Whatever pathway might have presented itself was suddenly close; green eyes peered from the darkness of her face, only to be met by a tangle of wolves she did not know. Magpie was surrounded and battered, and she knew bruises would blossom where limbs and bodies had collided into her. She felt teeth at her back, again, and yelped dramatically — it hadn't hurt too badly, but they didn't need to know that. In the same moment, the other juvenile who had locked eyes with her moments before leaned to snarl and snap at her forepaws.

She scrambled to dodge, tripping in the process. She would have liked to have enough space to fall to the ground and show them her belly as gracefully as she could, but even that small dignity was taken from her. Magpie fell heavily and awkwardly to the ground, nearly having the wind knocked from her lungs. Still, she wriggled piteously to her back, whining all the while. Okay, okay, her body language seemed to say. I surrender.

my last post here too!

Fox's presence faded from the scene, although Amekaze remained vaguely aware of other Creek wolves looming nearby -- the small red, Fox-lookalike most noticeably, but she was focusing on this dark juvenile at hand. She tried to measure her assault, so not to be unnecessary overkill on the girl, yet still firm to get the point across. When the youth went to the ground in surrender, Ame stopped her offense promptly.

She drew back but stayed close with a low growl rumbling in her throat. Her eyes skimmed towards Ferdie, seeking to confirm non-verbally that this captive was theirs, then gestured for the pup to rise. Ame would now escort her further into the territory, or drag her.. but she seemed to be a willing enough surrender now. The second this changed, her response would as well. She nudged the Creek wolf's side, pressing her forward silently.

The dark female would stay close and steer their path; she had a feeling the others would not be far behind with Leaf...

This will be my last post, as well, so feel free to skip me in the next round or whatever. This was a blast, guys!

When Amekaze left with Magpie, so did Red. There was no reason for the coywolf to remain at the scene, as she had decided that her goal in all of this would be to assist Ame in bringing the captive back to the Sunspire. She looked around one final time at her packmates, chuffing to Ferdie and Jace to tell them that she was leaving, and then turned and followed her packmate up the mountain. She stayed shoulder-to-shoulder with the captive, although the juvenile’s shoulder didn’t reach hers. She did this in order to feel Magpie’s body movements, so that she could stop her from escaping if she felt her suddenly shift in any given direction.

Luckily, Red had not gotten hurt during the skirmish, but she knew that not everyone in the Sunspire pack was so lucky. She wished everybody would heal quickly. She knew Fox and her might try to attack again, and the pack needed to be ready if that happened…

Last post for jace as well*

jace felt a sense of very real hopelessness followed by brief hot white anger. Ferdie knew how he was with imp and how they were already on rocky ground, he sighed knowing they were deoing what was needed didn't make It bother him any less though. He looked at Leaf and spoke softly come along Imp I'm sorry he hoped she wouldn't get stubborn or hold this against him.
I am more easily attainable for threads now. But please do bear in mind that I have three children under the age of five at home. And they do take up a lot of my time.

Only when the two captives were escorted peacefully deeper into the territory did Ferdie turn his attention to the last remaining Swiftcurrent Wolf he had never taken the life of a wolf before, he had come close, but he had never actually done it. Today might just be his unlucky day and alpha did what was necessary to protect his pack. Which is why they had captives, a bargaining piece for peace.

Ferdie snarled at Danica and dropped the hunk of Fox's flesh, stepping over it carelessly. She didn't need to make it home in one piece either, she was an intruder here. His hackles raised, mouth open and head level with his neck making his neck less of a easy target, Ferdie's 180 pounds came barreling down upon Danica. He aimed his teeth and bulk for her shoulder aiming to damage the leg making it harder for her to return here at least for a while.

exiting here.
Nightingale padded over to pick up her herbs. She then came around the group, asking whoever needed the help. She'd give it when accepted, and nodded in understanding when it wasn't. She even came around and asked the two prisoners.

Aryn, meanwhile, by Nightingale's directions, flew back to the pup's den to get more herbal remedies.

skipping Vienna as she kinda can fade to the background. Danica out!

Oh shit was Danica's only thought as Ferdie leapt into action. Instantly she knew that if she did not leave now she would die here today. There was nothing she could do for her companions... Another day/time perhaps. Now she was just far too outnumbered.

Ferdie's teeth hit home and, with a final curse, she tore herself away, limping from the force of the bite but sprinting as best she could. She set a course for the border, fully intending to get out of there asap. A plan could come later on how to move forward from here.

Summer out!

<style type="text/css">.Summer01 b {color:#587c95, font:12px calibri;}</style>

Thanks to his help, the girl fell to the ground and so fell captive to The Sunspire. Summer backed away as his packmates rushed in to surround her, staring through the jumble of legs and bodies to find her face, frightened, confused and ashamed. Sorrow swept over him as he watched them get her to her paws and move her back towards the pack lands along with her small cinnamon-pelted companion. He kept his eyes trained on her even as Ferdie chased off the final Creek wolf, thus ending the battle.

After a moment, Summer picked up his paws and began to follow the rest of his pack back home.

alrighty, not so much skipping Vienna ^^;

Sorry for the shortness, not much for her to do atm!

Vienna too moved into position to escort their captives to the border. While she understood the tactical advantage of this move she did feel badly for the two. At least the third got smart and left.

Looking back once towards the direction the golden wolf had taken, she followed her pack mates.
