All Welcome
All welcome! Saturday 11th May, 1am, Partly cloudy.

The full moon was barely visible through the dense woodland canopy, allowing the dark she wolf to only glimpse its bright luminescence as she traipsed her way briskly through the maze of pine and sequoia trees. Her lean body weaved easily between the tall trunks and gnarly exposed roots as she followed her nose eagerly towards the scent of fresh water up ahead.

Dark, mud-ridden paws clambered their way over the large rocks and boulders which came to block her path, as the she wolf ascended the small rocky summit which concealed the fresh water lake inside. As the climb grew more trecherous, the shadowy canopy slowly receeded, the great body of water became apparent as it glistened beneath the moonlight.

Salmon pink tongue swept impatiently across her parched lips as the lone female broke away from the shadows of the trees and finally, tentatively, stepped out into the open rock terrain which surrounded the lake. Gold-brownze eyes darted around suspiciously as the dark figure loped her way cautiously towards the water's edge, her ears flicking around atop her head as she did so. Finally, with the woodland seemingly silent around her, the female pressed her dark lips to the water and lapped at its cool surface.

@Soyala hope you don't mind this strange critter?
His days in the Hinterlands had been spent in solitude. The tawny wolf had kept to himself, managing to keep from trouble during the more heated season of breeding. He had no desire to be captured within the dramatics could stir within his fellow beasts, nor did he wish to obligate himself in any way—at least not yet.

The moon clung guardedly to the sky, behind a shroud of clouds and the Ostrega found his wandering paws seeking adventure amidst the night air. The scent of water was what initially drew him to the lake, but his pace slowed and the fur along his nape raised with the alert of another’s presence.

She was a wraith among the shadows, blending to the night while she quenched her thirst. His own golden pelt remained a beacon in comparison—specifically the silver arrow along the length of his spine. Amber eyes watched the stranger cautiously, uncertain at how he felt at coming upon another during such a haunting hour.
