deku was sprawled in the shade of a particularly large tree. sunlight streamed down between the boughs and leaves, dancing against the forest floor and along the starchaser's frame. he turned his head with a smile and followed the flickering of light, imagining that it was full of magic and had arrived only for him to see. when a looming cloud rolled overhead, the sunlight faded away and the trees whispered their goodbyes to the mystic display that had taken place there.
“ohhh,” the young pup whispered softly, searching nearby to see if he could find where the light had danced away to. he pushed himself upward so that he was sitting and then rose to his paws, sniffing the earth in hopes that he could catch the trail and off he would go! instead, leaves fluttered down beside him and rested there as the wind died away.
