All Welcome
Despite his mother's ever watchful eyes, Xizur had a talent for slipping away the moment she turned her back and just like magic, he was gone. It wasn't too terribly difficult of a trick to pull but, he often never made it more than a few minutes before he was ushered back towards the safety of his mother's care.

Today was a bit different though. The youngster had managed to make it futher than ever before and when the realization hit him that his surroundings were no longer familiar and he had been gone for longer than he'd like, the boy dropped to the floor and began to bawl his eyes out like a child lost in a city mall.

Somewhere a child was crying.  She recognized instantly that it wasn't hers; they were safely contained for a few more weeks, likely eagerly awaiting release into the wider world. This one was not far from where the other woman had her own home, and it could only be hers.  No one else here had children.

You are lost? She asked as she approached the sobbing pup, stopping a couple yards away to watch him.  She'd deliver him back, but she was curious.  Would he be able to help himself as well?

What was only a handful of minutes felt like an hour to the distressed and sobbing child, snot dripping from his nose as sniffles filled the air around him. The only interruption from this came from the unfamiliar figure that approached, her voice soothing in his time of worry.

"M-", hic, "m-mom" came his shaky response, glossy eyes glancing up the scarred woman before he frantically began looking around for his mother who he was sure was going to appear out of nowhere and save him any moment now.

She chuckled at his mistake, and shook her head.  Not quite.  Do you know which direction you came from?

She knew were but did not glance that direction.  If he remembered then he would have the pride of having found his own way back, no help needed.
